Read the Blogs before purchase!
Great product. Only wish I knew that WH was reduced to 80% as I would have ordered a larger unit. The 1800 is listed at 1488WH but you really get about 1200WH out before shutdown. This is noted in the blogs (oupes-what-is-a-kilowatt-hour-kwh-what-devices-can-it-power) but not clearly stated in the descriptions. Otherwise fantastic unit.

The device has issues. Uses non-standard cords for both AC charging and Solar charging. Also you cannot leave it plugged into Solar if there is no input. It will go into an endless boot loop and eventually lock up and die. And this is not an issue of it draining the battery. It is that it reboots, and beeps over and over. The unit eventually self destructs and becomes inoperative. Those reasons are a non-starter for me. Looking to return it. Seriously, do not buy!

Regarding the cables, the unit uses a standard US AC charging cable, and for solar input, it uses commonly adopted MC4 connectors, which are widely used across most solar panels in the market.
For the behavior you described: if the unit remains connected to solar panels when there is no sunlight input, the input power will be near zero while the system is still on. In this state, the station continues to consume a small amount of power for internal components such as the display and cooling system. Over time, this can drain the battery until the unit shuts down completely. We recommend disconnecting the solar input or recharging the unit when the battery level is low to avoid full depletion.
That said, our after-sales support team will reach out shortly to assist and help arrange a proper resolution, including return support if needed.

Mixed
The batteries and units seem good. The shipping packaging was excellent. The app is impossible - it can't even install. No functionality that requires the app can be activated, including preserving the batteries via proper slow charging. It is VERY frustrating that it comes from the factory in the charging mode that is almost never useful. The EPS/standby mode is useless in practice because the inverter is constantly running (to support the almost-fast-enough-for-electronics 20ms), but that draws so much power that it is not worth it. Standby power for automated emergency appliances is even more useless, because, without the app, you can't make it keep monitoring the outlets; it quickly goes to sleep because there is no constant load.
The control panel on the power station itself is large, elaborate, and easy, but lacks the remaining 2 or 3 functions that stupidly require the app that doesn't work.
The Mega 5 and B5 are both very heavy (exactly as advertised, over 100lbs). They are built with useful wheels, strong extended handle, good legs, rubberized stops, etc. to make the weight more manageable. They have nice capacity. I have used them successfully for manual backup power, but as described above, they are terrible for automatic backup, which was my reason for buying them.
If only they had properly designed them to be app-free and factory-set to be useful, they would be great.
