I had the same experience as many people. The questionnaire is intrusive data mining. It has very little to do do with clinical investigation. We have been scammed. I urge you not to participate with these people. Ii do not understand how Boots and the NHS can be involved with them . They need to be shut down. Do Not answer their questions, it is for marketing research.

Having three times received unsolicited letters inviting me to "take part in research", I have now emailed to request my details be deleted from their database.

Easy to sign up and participate in research on numerous health conditions. Their full study protocol is available online for anyone interested. Only downside is not many clinic locations (they should probably text you when they add one to a nearby town). The test itself was quick

I had an appointment at Boots in Folkestone at 0900. No one turned up After 20 minutes I asked Boots staff what was happening and they offered to find out and rang me at 1030 to advise me that the person I was supposed to be seeing was on sick leave, but hadn't bothered to tell me.
I wrote a letter of complaint on line, and have had no response after three weeks.

The largest donor to Our Future Helth is an American organisation and the second a European one. This is not advertised in the letter. It looks like selling access to all our data clinical data and getting rich this way. Very little offered in return :(

With GP appointments difficult to get these days I thought this would be a good opportunity to get some basic health checks done. I was under the impression it included a cholesterol test but this is not the case. The blood sample they take is 'a donation for research purposes'. It is basically a massive data collection exercise.

Why are you using the NHS logo on correspondence if you are not part of the NHS? Is it to lull people into a false sense of security so they don't read the small print?

Why do participants need to be 18 or over to sign up and give a blood sample? Is it so you can be able to say they consented to shady things done with their DNA?

"We will never allow your samples to be used in research involving animals or to create cell lines (an immortal group of cells used in research) without your express permission." Legislation is subject to change at any time.

If you don't want your DNA to be used to make animal chimera embryos, bin their letter.

I joined Our Future Health thinking it was a good opportunity to contribute to important research. Unfortunately, the experience left me uncomfortable. The questionnaires asked for very personal information like income, household details, and specific lifestyle habits. It wasn’t clear how this related to health research, and there wasn’t enough explanation about why they needed that level of detail.

I also requested to withdraw from the programme in February, asking for my data to be deleted and to stop receiving emails. Despite that, my account stayed active and I kept getting contacted for months. It felt like my request wasn’t taken seriously.

Overall, the lack of transparency and how my data was handled made me lose trust in the programme. I hope they make changes to address these issues for future participants.

Tried to seek clarification on data use and purpose several times, no response. They seem to include the “NHS” logo as implication they are endorsed by the NHS ??
Personally I would not trust my data with this company at all.
Use at your own risk !

Knew it was fishy when the health questionnaire starting asking how many cars I have and if I was home owner etc

Like all the others, do not trust your data to this incompetent at best company. I signed up to help with what should be a really good project only to realise it is completely open to data fraud. Can not get a reply from them and the automated one even recognises that replies will be delayed. Someone at the top of this needs to take responsibility and shut it down whilst the data is so open to abuse.

As others have written, terrible organisation with poor/non-existent customer service. You can see if an organisation is good by their replies to reviews. DO NOT USE OR WORK with them.

This just feels dodgy. Made to look like NHS linked. Called the helpline and just smacks of unprofessionalism. Not the way to operate at all. Appealing to our better natures but just doesn’t feel quite right. Blood tests cancelled - no reason given. Have withdrawn.

Recived one of these letters to find it's offering £10 to take part .this involves blood tests at some clinic, giving out a load of info to a 3rd party ,no thanks id need more than 10 quid before I atended any quack clinic appointments,I'd loose more in earnings wasting time on this

I was happy to join this important medical research initiative, but there are no clinics anywhere near where I live to give a blood sample. I travel to Leeds maybe every 3 or 4 weeks, but whenever I check to see if there are any appointments they're always 2 weeks away.

I'm not paying expensive train fares to go miles away. A £10 voucher isn't going to even cover the cost.

I'm going to London at the end of May, maybe I'll get lucky and find an appointment there!

I attended my appointment at my local Boots branch with a very nice nurse.
Everything was fully explained to me it's all very quick and painless and my voucher link was emailed to me about ten minutes after my appointment.

I’m really sorry to do this because I think it’s a great initiative. I was happy to give a little time to help the cause, but I have now made 2 appointments at my local Boots Branch, which is still a 20-minute drive and then have to find somewhere to park. I have made 2 because both were cancelled along with a request to log in and make a new appointment.
How many times will this happen?
I’m sorry. But if they made it simple I would do it. To have 2 appointments and 2 cancellations just tells me not to bother so I can do something more useful with my time and energy

It's ridiculous to get several survey letters when survey is already submitted and voucher isn't given as promised.
Blood sample is given long back but it seems OFH lost/misplaced it.
OFH cannot mess up with our health records.

Arrived on time. Queued at the counter, turns out that it is hidden in a booth to the side - they don't make this clear. After an hour, nurse finally appears and refuses to see me, and is smugly smirking about it. Absolute waste of time, the staff seem to make sport of it. No wonder the study is struggling to find volunteers

My appointment was for a Tuesday which I mixed up with another appointment for Friday. So I went i gave my name which wasn't on the list due to wrong day but a male came and sorted it so that I had blood taken that day. Just had to wait for 30mins. Very polite and very profesional staff. Would really like to know what if anything comes from ALL the blood tests taken.
