I asked for a quote to replace my conservatory roof but was told they would not come unless my husband was present. I was a bit taken back by this, having organised all the house renovation, without anyone other building company having an issue with me sorting everything. I was told his was to prevent wasting their time visiting, for me to then seek approval from my husband who then wanted something else. I thought I had travelled back in time to the 1930s. I could understand if people could sue for doing work when the other home owner didn’t want it but that’s not the case. I had a bathroom refit costing more than what other companies have quoted for the roof replacement and they didn’t ask for permission from my husband. They quoted, did the work and got paid in full. It is absolutely ridiculous to not provide a service to me without speaking to my husband. People have many various reasons for taking some responsibility for renovations such as partner in military, working over seas, unsociable shifts, anxiety dealing with strangers. Your policy is outdated and completely ridiculous for this day and age.

This happened 10/08/2026 door to door sales man but had previously happened a month or two before when I requested a quote and received a phone call. The lady said the same thing so I declined booking an appointment as my husband would not be there, no matter how many late night or weekend appointments they offered.

Steve visited my parents house today to give them information about window replacements. He was very informative and provided all of the details to my parents in a very clear manner. Steve was very professional and friendly. My parents were very happy with his service and have chosen the window type and door, agreeing a price that they were very happy with.

Old fashioned sales techniques. Salesman came out to give us a quote for a composite door. We were really happy with the quality of the product and the guarantees that came with it.

Quote started off at £3,700, which is extortionate, we were then offered a 30% discount, bringing the total down to £2,400 ( again, too much). Salesman called the office as we said we were looking to pay less than £2,000. We were told that if we would commit there and then, that deal could be done. We said that we obviously were going to get more than one quote, as a comparison but were told that if we came back later, having had another quote, that the offer made would not be available.

In this day and age, I thought that 80's style, hard sell sales techniques were a thing of the past. Very off-putting and we wouldn't spend our hard earned cash with a company who operates like this.

Had front and rear doors replaced by an excellent team everyone helpful and informative doors made to measure and fitted without fuss fantastic job and product

We had a tiled roof onto our existing PENNINE WINDOWS Conservatory. Everyone from the teams who came out to our house, assessors, roofers, plasterers, electricians, were amazing all arriving on the dates due for their part of the job. The finish is truly far better than our expectations. We also had a new kitchen window fitted with minimal damage to the window surroundings and it was all plastered and pebble dashed before leaving. The Service and Quality is 100%. We truly thank all the staff and also Allison the team coordinator for her help in arranging all of this for us. We can recommend PENNINE WINDOWS to anyone wanting a 1st class job.

I reached out to budget windows who had an offer for 4 windows and door for 3995 to then be contacted by pennine windows. A surveyor came to my house who wasn’t a surveyor at all but a classic sales person, they wasted 2hrs of our time measuring up windows for me to be quoted £14k ish. I was then told about some recycling scheme that was only available on the day which brought the total down to around 10k if I paid on the day. I repeatedly said I was not comfortable being pressured into a sale in person and needed time to think about it. To which the sales person called the head office to recuse the quote even more and get me to pay a deposit and sign a contract after I explicitly said I didn’t want to make a purchase that day. The sales person also mentioned a referral scheme which seemed like classic MLM pyramid scheme. I don’t see why the “surveyor” couldn’t come over, take 15 mins to measure the windows and then leave and provide a quote online (it’s so the company makes more money)

The doors and windows used may be high quality and have a good guarantee as well as the installers being amazing etc etc. I do not doubt this.

Based on my experience of the sales representative I do not want to choose this company for any works I do

From sales to installation the service level stayed the same . None of the we've got the sale now attached. Kim is always pleasant to talk Friendly professional and informative. John and Johnny installed the new front door . They had both had a very long day but carried on regardless in the extreme heat . Not only did they install the door perfectly. They went above and beyond and repaired some brick surface that was coming away and made it look like new . Very grateful extra effort would highly recommend.

Stunning transformation from polycarbonate roof to solid tiled roof expertly installed. An exemplary service from start to finish by a professional team throughout. we are extremely satisfied.

From start to finish we were kept informed as to the progress, the fitters arrived ahead of time were very professional with removing the old frames and installation of the new, they left site as they found it a five star quality job done

Penine have been very informative on what needs doing and when it will be done. Installer was very helpful and approachable. Once door was fitted he showed me what he had done and how to lock and unlock door.

Service received by Kim was outstanding always keeping us informed of the process. Brian and Alex who installed the windows and doors were so friendly kept us updated making sure we were happy left everything tidy when they finished. Quality of the products very good really happy with our purchase

I had my front door fitted today, absolutely fantastic team , turned up early and cleaned up before they left , composite door & side panel fitted and they look amazing .

Having used Pennine Home Improvements to replace my bay windows in my 1930 house i decided to complete the house with a new front door and two octagonal windows matching the original stained glass .
Johnathon & Michael the window fitters were once again superb in the removal and refitting the windows and door without any damage to the interior wood panelling .
Kim the project co-ordinator was constantly in touch to see how the project was going .
Thank you to everyone at Pennine involved with the project and making sure the house lost none of its character .

Absolutely fantastic job. Very pleased with the whole process. Geoff was very knowledgeable and professional.

Very punctual. Only took 2 hours to remove and install new French doors in extreme heat. Jeff never stopped. He then cleaned up and took away old doors.

The fitters arrived at 0800hrs and did not stop until they finished the job which included two bedroom windows a bay window and front door with an extra window above it. They were very tidy and cleaned up after themselves.I would no hesitation of recommending this firm for any door and window replacements.
