Easy sign up. Choices for level of cover required. Suits me well.
It was certainly very easy to sign up & get covered for my new pup. I paid a different insurance for 13 years for another dog. It covered too much nonsense, all included with the more expensive premium, none of which most people would bother with, like kennel expenses for travel delays , quarantine & other rubbish. I don't expect to claim for every little thing, never did before, so the options offered were great. I didn't select any silly options. If I ever need to claim I can't say how easy or hard it is but all I need is basic cover just in case. So, suits me just fine.

Think long and hard about pet insurance, especially petinsurance.ie…
All the 5 star reports are about how easy it is to sign up. This one is about the shocking claims procedure and the way they look for every loop hole not to pay out. Also read up on what you can claim, the only thing missing from the list of things they won’t pay for is your pet getting struck by an astroid. We came a cropper to the anal gland clause, our 7 year old dog suddenly developed anal gland problems. 3 vet visits later and the diagnosis of the necessity to have the glands removed with a total cost of over 1,000 euros and they won’t pay a penny! The vet told us that anal gland issues are not seldom, that’s why they cover themselves against it but who knows that as a normal dog owner?

Value for money pet insurance.
The ease at which i was able to buy the pet insurance policy. The price was also a factor in me choosing Pet insurance.ie. I was better value for money compared with other insurance providers.

Absolutely shocking customer service…
Absolutely shocking customer service and the worst claims process I have ever come across.
I have spent 15 minutes filing out a form to make a small claim for my dog. Ask to have my policy cancelled and was advised by staff that I will get a refund for one month. I have waited a week to find out that I cannot get a refund cause my claim is open and they cannot cancel it themselves and want me to reach out to the third party called Davies to cancel my claik so they can refund me!!!!!
