I’ve just used Pinhole’s service very successfully to help me sell my preloved Handiquilter machine having upgraded. Their support of marketing it has been superb and also the support they offer to a new purchaser is outstanding having serviced the machine and offering installation and training too. I can’t recommend them more. Throughout my years of quilting with my Handiquilter machine, they have always been super supportive and encouraging. By far the best customer service out there. Needed an encoder for a quilting machine that was purchased whilst living in USA. Contacted Pinhole Quilting and spoke with Mark. He went above and beyond to locate said encoder. He kept in touch, regularly updating us on the status of our order.
On the whole dealing with Mark and Pinhole Quilting was a very positive experience.
If we ever need their services again we wouldn’t hesitate to contact them.

Pete and Liz Holpin owners of Pinholequilting truly care about their business and customers. From the moment I went to their showroom to buy my first machine I felt valued, I know I’m not the worlds best quilter, but felt I wanted any quilt I made would be my work and not finished by someone else. A Simply Sixteen was purchased and steady progress was made. I repeated my training day because I felt so under confident, taking my step daughter with me who hade picked up her sewing to cope with a stressful NHS job. Ellyw instantly fell in love with the process of longarm quilting. Pete and Liz were so encouraging and patient, to this point I was never felt discouraged, for various reasons after the workshop I decided to changed my longarm quilting machine to the Amara. I can’t thank Pete enough he was brilliant and the training on the new machine it was delivered methodically and professionally, my confidence was grown, I no longer feel overwhelmed by the machine, Ellyw plans her off duty so she can use the Amara to full advantage! We can’t thank you both enough for all your help and first class service.

I have owned a HQ longarm machine since 2012, at times more than one, and have always found Pinhole Quilting (aka Pete and Liz Holpin) to be a highly professional, technically skilled and ethical company to deal with. When downsizing became a necessity I discussed my options with Pete and decided to take up their Preloved Service. He promptly drafted the wording for the marketing of my Avante machine and suggested a sensible price. The machine was sold to a lady who was prepared to wait for it to be transported by to the UK from Spain, and what was truly amazing was that the sales agreement happened all within a few hours of the ad appearing on Pinhole Quilting’s Preloved website. For peace of mind I had included a service in the agreed price and Liz called in to do this a few days before we delivered the machine and set it up in its new home. It was very reassuring to know that there would be available support for the assembly from Pete and Liz by phone, should we need it (but we didn’t!). The new owner will soon be taking advantage of a Foundation course in Pershore, once she has explored more and familiarised herself with her lovely Avante.

Simply the best experience it could have been. HandiQuilter is just the best fit with regards to quality, and cost. We booked in a session at Festival of Quilts 2023, and Liz and Pete were simply marvellous in running through the options. The Cloth House needs building, but the introductory offers on the MoxieXL were too good to miss.
Every step of the way Liz and Pete have guided us and made decisions simple and no fuss. Guidance with building the loft frame, really cool templates and 'how to' guides, as well as superb YouTube tutorials mean that you really do feel part of the HandiQuilter family.
The Cloth House has even been mentioned on their Facebook lives !!

Nothing is too much trouble. Installation of my quilting frame and machine, along with the setting up and one to one instruction of how to use it was impeccable.

Superb service. Right from the start pinhole quilting were organised, upfront and clear about the product, delivery and installation. Such a smooth process. Their enthusiasm for their fabulous products is definitely contagious and for good reasons. I love my longarm!

We went along to see the Long Arm sewing machines. Liz was very friendly and explained everything clearly, we were there for around an hour and a half and were made to feel very welcome with no pressure. We purchased a Capri 18” Long Arm Sewing machine, which was installed in our home on 4th December 2023. We are very pleased with it.

I have recently purchased a Pre-loved longarm machine from Pinhole Quilting and am so happy with it and the Customer service I have experienced. I had previously already bought threads from Pinhole Quilting and had met both Pete and Liz at a local quilt show. I phoned for advice on longarm machines before I chose my current purchase. Every time I spoke with either Pete or Liz in person or on the telephone, they were very friendly and helpful, taking plenty of time to answer my questions and to give advice based on my list of requirements.
When I spotted a pre-loved machine I was interested in on their website I was able to go and try it out at the Pinhole Quilting store in Pershore. Liz showed me all the items and attachments and made me feel at ease. I chatted more about my options for delivery (the frame was still at the previous owners home), warranty and training. There was no 'hard sell' and I could have just opted to collect the frame myself and do the installation myself. However, I chose to give Pinhole Quilting that task as I was keen to get it installed by the experts.
On the day of installation I was kept in touch on expected arrival time and everything went so smoothly and on time. I was able to watch and help with the installation tasks as Pete explained all the technical details in an easy-to-understand way. It was great fun and I was impressed with the quality of build and engineering in the frame and machine.
Pete went through a comprehensive list of things to get me started and after a couple of hours I was already quilting on my test panel !
The installation time and training equipped me with not only the technical information to get started but also the confidence to do it. It is always such a pleasure to be a customer of Pinhole Quilting, I feel valued and know if I have any questions they are happy to help. The fact that I purchased a Pre-loved machine and not a brand new one never seemed to matter - the Customer care and enthusiasm from the Pinhole Quilting Team has been paramount and I would highly recommend them for their excellent service.

THE QUALITY OF THE MACHINES MEANS MOODS DIFFER ACCORDING TO WHAT I AM FORCED TO DEAL WITH AGAIN AND AGAIN AFTER SPENDING £25,000 ON A MACHINE.

Without question the worst purchase experience of my entire life.

I have spent just under £25,000 on the experience of trying to own a fully working and functioning Handi Quilter Amara. I include the services warranty repairs and having to buy a second tablet to try and get a fully working machine which I still don’t have.

Warranty repair after warranty repair for four and a half years, April 2023 saw my original machine finally replaced with an ex demo machine having 580,000 stitches on it. I wanted a new machine but was not getting one. The ex demo machine was allegedly in perfect working order which sadly it wasn’t. The plug drops out of the back of the machine while stitching. So I don’t call that a twenty something thousand machine system that is working to the level I was promised when I was sold the machine. Or when it was replaced under warranty. The thread sensor is also not working, the tablet has charging issues upon startup and a small thing falls off on its position under the machine and drags on the table while moving. So four issues exist with the fully tested warranty replacement ex demo machine. All existing well before the machine came to me. But “fully testing” the machine missed those faults.

It’s incredibly important to ensure prior to buying a machine you ask about the warranty costs. My machine is in the name of my limited company. So I have tried unsuccessfully to insure the machine to drive it in a vehicle in my personal name to the Pinhole Quilter’s offices to avoid the charges for them to drive to me and have been rejected this insurance 3 times. So they have to come to my office to carry out the warranty repairs. Ensure when buy your machine you ask what the mileage charges are. What the driving time charges are. What the call out fees are as well as what the fitting fee charges are for any warranty issues you may need done. Mine is a little over £325 per warranty visit. Even if the machine has errors from day one none of which are your doing. And these issues aren’t your fault. This cost to have the warranty repair these issues is yours entirely and if you can’t travel with the machine to their offices. Obviously if you can get the machine to theirs the charge for me would be £36. But again check the warranty policy to see if you are comfortable traveling with your machine. I am not. You might well be. This cost is important to investigate before deciding to buy your machine. I didn’t know these costs would be this high for each visit.

Also ensure you know clearly the £10,000 tablet only has a warranty of two years. I reported numerous times (possibly a hundred times) in the first two years with the tablet and nothing was successfully done to correct these issues. And ended up having to buy a second tablet. For a little over £2,000 with fitting fees. So ensure any issues with your tablet are fixed instantly and do not wait years of numerous testing processes that don’t fix the issues before insisting on a new tablet. If like mine yours was faulty.

Hundreds of exchanges of communications regarding issues with the now two machines and three tablets have meant I can not possibly have had a positive experience regarding buying and owning a Handi Quilter Amara. It has been fraught with terrible stress and sadly even now almost five years later, two machines later and three tablets later… I still need a warranty fix to have a fully functioning machine. I can not afford this repair at this time due to the downturn of my business and don’t have what I was promised on day one.

I am so hopeful your experience is more positive than mine. But the reality is not all of the Pinhole Quilting customers are happy with the service they receive. However much that is devastating for me. Financially and the personal interactions. I have always been left feeling these very real issues with the machines are entirely my fault and almost blamed that the machines were not working correctly. I can’t adequately express now how much worse the situation is now and sadly no end in sight.

This is an outstanding company supplying both Handiquilter longarm quilting machines and expertise in the field. I recently purchased the Amara 24 which Pete and Liz installed in my home. From start to finish they could not have done more to help and guide me and I know that any issues that might arise will be dealt with in a friendly and timely fashion. If you are in the market for a longarm machine (and even if you are not yet but might be) don’t go past Pinhole Quilting.

Had my Preloved Sweet 16 setup on 4th July I have had fun practicing, still a lot to learn….Very professional help along the way… decided on buying extras from the company knowing that they are suitable for this machine, Also the knowledge that I will get help when needed.

From enquiry to delivery, Pinhole were outstanding. Questions all answered quickly and suitably. Lots of communication and even late of an evening to let me know my huge bank transfer had arrived. Aftercare question was answered with a few photos and easily sorted issue that I had made myself. Pete and Liz are just ace and I would recommended them wholeheartedly. Brilliant l, trustworthy company with very helpful owners.

The Pinhole Quilting Team are friendly, extremely efficient, knowledgeable and very kind. My HandiQuilter Fusion 24" is running beautifully now that it's been serviced. The Team go above and beyond to be sure of customer satisfaction.

They are extremely knowledgable about the products they are selling. Offering taster sessions on the long arm quilting g machines with no pressure to purchase a machine.

Just bought a Simply Sixteen preloved with Little Foot frame. With limited space I didn’t think I could have a long arm but after chatting with Pete and sending him room dimensions I was excited to find he had something suitable in stock.
His responses were quick and within 10 days of asking, I now am using my machine. Lots of links were given to Facebook, YouTube and HandiQuilter website. Couldn’t have asked for a better service and I know I can always email or pick up the phone if I can’t find an answer online. Pete went above and beyond to see me quickly so I could pick it up. Can’t wait to learn more on the Foundation Course.
