Bad Experience with Pinnacle Moving Group - Avoid at All Costs!

I had a terrible experience with Pinnacle Moving Group. They initially quoted me a low price to attract my business, but upon pickup, they tried to corner me into paying roughly $10,000! I refused, and they canceled my move while keeping my $3,000 booking fee, claiming I canceled because they provided a "bad quote."

I did take the quality assurance call and accurately listed my inventory, which was just a few containers over their estimate. They quoted me 600 sq ft for my 3 bed, 3 bathroom penthouse, which is over 2,000 sq ft. When the movers arrived, they expected me to pay an additional $9,000!

I called customer service and was put on hold for 45 minutes only for them to hang up on me. They even threatened that disputing the charge would cost an extra $2,000 because I signed something.

This company is a scam, and I urge anyone looking for moving services to stay far away from Pinnacle Moving Group

This is the second review. We followed the directions that were given in the response from Pinnacle Moving Group to our first review, and have not received any communication from them regarding our damage claim. It's been almost 2 months of reaching out to them and getting absolutely zero response. They do not answer any messages we leave and do not answer our emails. Is there legal action we can take?

Crooks, Scam Artists, All Around Garbage

If I could give negative stars I would. This company is the biggest joke and scam I have ever encountered in my life.

I booked services in May for a July move. Ken the First Gentleman I spoke with was amazing, very knowledgeable and all around seemed legit. That’s how they get you. After that he didn’t respond, and it went to hell.

Never set in stone the move date until the day before. Once movers arrived miraculously it was going to be way over the allotted space. Keep in mind I had gotten rid of a lot of large items from the original quote but opted to keep the same space to give myself a buffer. The guy “recalculated” costs and it was going to be an additional $10,000. Then proceeded to spend the next hour going in and out of the house to “talk to his boss” and trying to negotiate a better rate.

Then they couldn’t tell me when it was going to be delivered, said anywhere between 1-3weeks but if I wanted to pay for priority it would be an additional $2600.

I have lost my deposit, and less well learned. Stay away from these crooks. I even did lots of research on them, and that’s the sad part.

Only rating one star because you have to rate it something to write a review. Absolutely awful experience. When contract was signed there were two pickup dates, one was a backup in case of weather issues. I was not told the backup day would be used until the night before I was expecting them. After I had to call multiple times to inquire. When the company showed up, they were unaware they were supposed to be packing up everything. Even though I confirmed on the call the day before with Pinnacle and was informed when I booked that breakdown and setup would be included with paying extra to pack. There were clearly multiple things that were not communicated before the moving company arrived. On top of that they immediately had to add a charge for a stair fee. I was charged the fee one time, despite knowing I was on the third floor and not asking how many stairs I had. Finally, the estimated space needed in the truck ended up being double what was estimated based on what I said which resulted in the total cost being $3000 more than I was quoted. This is after the fact multiple large furniture items were no longer part of the move, otherwise it would have been even more. When Pinnacle customer service called to ask how the move went and I had nothing positive to say they said I could call about compensation once delivery was complete. I did that only to be told they do not offer compensation as the contract states the amount could change. Even though the extra amount was more than half of the original quote. Absolutely awful experience, would never recommend to anyone to use this company. They do not care about the customer, only getting you in with a lowball quote and then disappearing.

After Pinnacle replied to my original review asking for me to submit information so they could look into it, I sent them everything I had and never heard back. It has been over a month. I never even got a message saying they received the email and were reviewing it. Again going to show that they do not care about the customer.

Company is fake

Company is fake. Company is fraudulent. They keep chaning their names. They offer you a low ball quote, then wait until the cancellation period is over to raise the price they feel they are locked in. I asked to speak to the owner and they told me point blank "you cannot talk to the owner". That is after they get the deposit. Run from them. Run from them

Overall Very Satisfied-Would Use Again and Recommend

I recently moved from Arizona to Georgia with Pinnacle Moving Group, and overall, it was a great experience. The crew arrived with all the proper tools to disassemble and reassemble my furniture, and they knew exactly how to handle my Sleep Number bed—which was a big relief!

Despite the heat, the movers were kind, hard-working, and stayed focused on getting the job done right. They did show up a little late, which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, but they absolutely made up for it with their professionalism and care.

Delivery was just as smooth as pickup. I really appreciated how well they pack-wrapped everything and used floor protection throughout my home. Huge shout out to Ken for overseeing the process and making sure things went smoothly. Definitely recommend Pinnacle if you’re looking for reliable and respectful movers!

This is a totally fraudster company…

This is a totally fraudster company with no experience in moving at all. This is just a broker who would quote you way less than actual cost that you are going to discover when the actual moving van line ( one of their worst and untrustworthy partners) arrives on the day of pickup.

In our case we were moving furnitures from a one bedroom apartment and detailed every single piece we were planning to move and we were told that our price will not go up beyond 3200$ that was originally estimated. We paid 1750$ up front at the time of booking. A day before pickup their so called “quality control” team called and said that the price quoted is accurate but when the van line who would actually move our stuff arrived, they said we needed way more space than Pinnacle’s estimate and gave us option to either drop boxes / items or pay ~2000$ more for the total move. While Pinnacle mentioned that only 50% of the cost would be due at pickup, the van line called Giovanni Van Lines ( another fraudsters) pressured us to pay 80% of the movement cost upfront. The date of pickup was May 08, 2025 and now the van line is saying they won’t be able to deliver our stuff before July 08!!

Please don’t call or book any of your move with Pinnacle Moving Company or Giovanni Van Lines at all!! Beware!

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. The movers came after I had to reassess our articles. The price then went up $2000. I had a list of items within that price range. After they arrived and started loading, they told me that was not going to work until the cubic feet quoted. Now the price went up $6000 from the original estimate and they could not take all the items under that price. I had to tell them to stop at $9700. What a scam and now we are left with multiple articles that we couldn't get them to move

Different name..same people.— you were Atlas and no one will respond to me from there either. You just changed your name so you could start over after Atlas screwed over so many people.

Edit— I am not the same guy from above. So, this review was left correctly. You denied me my funds back after canceling my move due to a family emergency. You stole my deposit money for pick up and delivery and YOU DIDNT PICK UP or DELIVER my items. I have been sending emails to Atlas to get the money back I am owed. The contract says a manager can approve the refund. All I get is so BS about a contract that has been voided for SO many other reasons. Like telling me when you were ATLAS that you weren’t a broker when YOU ARE.

Please give me back my money.

Buyer BEWARE - SCAM!

We signed the contract with Pinnacle Moving Group to move us halfway across the country and were instantly ghosted via email/phone. Our logistics coordinator, who was extremely responsive pre-sales, stopped returning emails and phone calls as soon as we signed. Customer service refused to provide simple information like thier top 5 movers that they talk about in the sales calls. Weeks after customer service refused to provide mover info (so I could check reviews and FMCSA status), I was reached out to by a manager to follow up on my request for info. Despite sounding genuine about wanting to help, they didn't follow through. Claiming emails were sent that never arrived and then get belligerent with m,e somehow insinuating that I'm the one at fault for not getting the email. My email is on the contract correctly, and the sales/logistics guy didn't have any issues emailing me pre-sales. I was even provided the manager's personal phone number to text and thier direct line. I reached out more than half a dozen times between texts/voicemails and got no response or return call. So, in addition to the sales folks not returning calls, customer service refusing to provide info, and managers don't return voicemail, texts, or emails either.

The price might seem alluring, but thier tactics are suspicious/scammy, and if you look at protectyourmove.gov, this company checks over half of the red flags listed there. The DOT number provided has a mailing address in Georgia that is for a random office building with no markings for the business. The actual business address is a residential house in Florida. Again, all part of the warning signs listed on the site above.

Save yourself the stress and hire a real mover (and not a "broker" like these folks) that doesn't take your money upfront and responds to communications. Real movers show up at your house, show accountability for your move, and actually communicate. I lost 8k to this, and no one seems to care about my experience.

EDIT: Sent them an email as they requested. No response in over a week. Par for the course.

EDIT #2: Got a reply from billing 6 weeks after following up from the original email sent 6 weeks before that telling me they are still processing my cancelation. No response to the info@ email I sent. Stay away from these people. They don't respond and are impossible to get ahold of. God forbid you want to cancel. They'll just leave you unread and not actually address anything.

If you’re looking for a moving company that will lie, overcharge, and disappear with your belongings—look no further!

This company is a complete scam. They changed the agreed-upon cost when they arrived, showed up with a rented truck (major red flag), and demanded the deposit be wired—another red flag we should’ve heeded.

After the move, they became nearly impossible to reach. And when they finally did respond, all we got were lies. They have essentially stolen both our money and our belongings.

Do not trust this company. You’ve been warned.

If you want me to remove the review, then please deliver my items.
