Major service & no heater for 10 days
I paid $495 for a Major Service on my gas ducted heater. Everything seemed fine on the day, but the very next morning the heater faulted and stopped working.
After some back and forth, it took 10 days for a technician to return. They found a faulty part, which I then had to pay an additional $120 to replace.
I’m frustrated and disappointed. If the heater was serviced properly, why did it stop working immediately after? What exactly did I pay $495 for, if it didn’t identify or prevent this fault?
I won’t be using your services again and will be sharing this experience.

After reviewing your case with our team, we’d like to clarify the sequence of events and the steps we took to support you. After Joshua completed a major service on 29/05/25, your unit was tested and found to be working without any issues. When you reported intermittent operation on 03/06/25, we promptly worked to arrange a follow-up visit. Although there was a short delay as we tried to reach you, we booked your appointment for the next available time after the public holiday.
On 10/06/25, our technician Jacob diagnosed a faulty pressure switch—a component that was functioning at the time of the original service and, unfortunately, is not possible to proactively test when the unit is operating normally. We understand how frustrating it can be when a fault occurs so soon after a service, and we want to assure you that this was a genuine coincidence rather than an oversight.
To assist, we waived the standard $150 call-out fee and significantly discounted the pressure switch replacement from $200 to $120 as a gesture of goodwill.
Our goal is to treat every customer fairly and ensure your experience with us is positive. We hope this explanation clarifies the situation. If you’d like to discuss your concerns further, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly—we are always here to help.

Excellent Service
The Plum team from start to finish was the best.
From the design of my solar and battery system Kane,Suzannah,Mathew and all the guys...this company and all the workers are the real deal.The installation was great without any problems, taking exta care.
Ps....and after the installation they made sure they cleaned up and left the place tidy.
I definitely recommend them.

Work to be done- Gas Heater -Minor Service -Gas…
Work to be done- Minor Service -Gas Heater, Joshua,the Plum Service Technician arrived on time as per schedule. He is very professional very helpful & friendly in answering all the questions I asked him. He explained & showed the parts of the heater for the Minor Service he is doing and also explained what partsis included if a Major service is to be done. Told him our Gas bill has gone up so high while half of the house ( front part) is not even heated. He noted that Gas rates has gone up, however he said he will check later the ducting underneath the house, why nk heating is coming out from the 6 vents in the front part of house. After he finished servicing the heater, he went underneath tge house and found out the sections if the ducting was squashed that no airflow is going through, the reason why the front of the house is not being heated. He showed us the pictures of the squashed ducting. He offered to change the ducting and gave us a quote. In summary Joshua carried out his work professionslly and effeciently. Thanks .

Ducted Heater is working again!
Joshua came out and fixed my heater that was playing up and had it running in no time. His customer service is great, took some photos to show me what the issues were and explained everything in detail.

On Friday I had Josh from plum heating and cooling coming for a yearly service..
Josh rang before coming to let me know what time he would be there..
on his arrival Josh .. was polite taking his shoes off at the front door coming in explaining what he was going to do check the service panel asked me where the manhole was and then Proceed ..
after about 15 minutes, I heard this big bang five minutes later Josh came down showing me photos of the manhole and telling me that he whacked his head .. this is a new build only a year and a half old. I asked him if he was okay. Said yes I have a hard head but we have a problem. I’ll have to come back another day with somebody else to help me fix the problem.
So on Tuesday Josh and Aden came back again Josh rang to let me know he was about 15 minute's away..
After Josh going up and down from the manhole.. checking every vent the unit was still overheating.. an hour later Josh said it’s all fixed.. Josh showed me pictures of the work .. Josh was so helpful and said don’t hesitate to call back if needed.. I go to pay the $640 I was quoted and was told it’s under warranty.. I’ll see you next year..

Josh called ahead of the appointment time to advise he was on his way
He removed his boots and proceeded to inspect the heating and cooling system.
He showed photos of the condition of the system and was very informative and professional in his service delivery.
Upon his departure he said he would send a report to our agent and if I had any concerns to Plum heating and cooling.
