What’s to say ? , I’ve dealt with Powells in Chester many times , and as usual even though we didn’t specifically go in looking for anything we ended up buying a beautiful antique gold chain , we dealt with Teri who was helpful and when we asked for their best price they didn’t mess me around and gave me their best price.
Yes , You can buy new jewellery- but second hand jewellery just adds an extra dimension to the purchase and is just better for value and has character and a patina that new jewellery just can’t compete with.

A place that had a ring to it...
Powells is one of those shops where you step back in time. You feel the atmosphere before you even look at anything. I had seen something on their website and asked them to hold it for me, which they did. When I went in I was made very welcome and when I did get to see the item I liked, I was able to take my time and examine it carefully. The whole experience was lovely and so were the staff.

Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff who made me welcome and did not rush me. I was given an estimated time for the alterations to be completed but it was actually done within a far shorter time frame. When I collected my jewellery, I was delighted with the results, and they far exceeded my expectations. Once again , the staff were so friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend Powells to others.
