Primordial radio has changed lives. Rock and metal and community. No adverts or talking through songs.
It’s coming together and helping people. Made loads of friends and people I can trust. I wouldn’t be without the station now.

There is no other radio station like this available anywhere, there just isn't. The directors have been passed from pillar to post in a broken platform that doesn't work in the long term, commercial Rock/Metal radio stations come and go and these guys have worked on most of them watching the same errors occur over and over...

... Well they have broken away from that and created a beautiful, ever changing ever evolving radio platform that the Rock and Metal community not only wants but needs.

Less than the price of a gig pint a month is more than a fair price to listen to unedited music, swears and all, without irrelevant adverts constantly being pumped into your ears.

It is a radio station so not everyone will like all of the music/presenters all off the time, name me a station that you like every aspect of.... You can't and if this doesn't come close to that for you then it may say more about you than what is being offered here.

This station and the community that it has brought together has changed my life and actually saved the lives of several of my friends that I found here.

I have been a part of the Primordial family for around 2 years. An incredible radio station for Rock/Metal and also a wonderful community of presenters and listeners. Everybody is made to feel so welcome and it is very refreshing!

A community driven, and essentially owned, station. Great presenters, great tunes, no nonsense, supporting charity, promoting mental health, promoting new music, giving us a laugh through the day.

For the Rock and Metal fans out there, this station is by far the best I've found that caters for our taste.

If you thought Rock & Metal was dead, you've got another thing coming! I am so happy this station exists - 50% new music (and such a fantastic selection - from Bob Vylan right through to Sky Valley Mistress), and loads of bands you already know. Even the tracks you NEVER get to hear on radio because they weren't single releases or commercial hits. I listen every day and can't imagine life without it! A great mix of presenters who really know their stuff, and not just from the UK, but from around the globe. \m/

Followed the guys from TeamRock and absolutely love it. I never listen to "normal" radio stations due to the constant repetition of tracks and adverts but Primordial doesn't do that.

I'd say I can't listen at work because of the music is all uncensored but to be honest, I wouldn't be allowed to listen at work anyway as it's not supermarket friendly muzak or "classic" rock.

And it really is a community.

I've listened to Primordial Radio since the start. No other professionally-run radio station gives me this selection of music, especially new music from established, emerging and underground metal bands. There's also the community built around the station that they've managed to maintain as the station has grown. I've made so many friends through it.

Primordial Radio, and the people that run it, have literally changed my view of the world. I discovered Moose and Dewsbury through 106.1 RockRadio-Manchester about ten years ago. When that changed to RealXS they left and joined Team Rock Radio. When that failed they literally decided "to hell with this, we can do better".
And boy have they done better! Not just a radio station that plays brilliant music, but a community of wonderful human beings from all backgrounds. An ethical and mindful company that is as much at home talking trash about the latest releases from the big established bands to setting up charity gigs with new up & coming acts in aid of Mental Health (MIND). They have their own Eco Warrior, Blowfish the world's only heavy metal marine biologist broadcasting every week. They have their own beer, Primordial Süp!
I have made great friends amongst the Primordial Fam. People that a few years ago I may have taken one look at and crossed the road to avoid. The heavy rock & metal community is the friendliest and most welcoming bunch of people I've ever met. I have discovered more new (to me) bands than I thought possible. Something that they pride themselves on is showcasing new and unsigned bands. I've returned to live music again. Rock is not dead, you just need to rediscover it. Try it for free on a 3 month trial. If you don't like it, walk away, they will not spam you or sell your data. That's the Primordial way.

Fantastic people playing fantastic music. It feels like a night out as teenager playing your favourite songs and introducing new ones.
The occasional blip is sorted out surprisingly quickly when most of the staff are working volunteers.

The best Rock and Metal radio station bar none. Great music and great presenters that will keep you smiling all day. The PRFam make sure no one is excluded and look after each other like the best communities do! Fully recommended!

Amazing station, I don’t listen to anyone else. They play the music as it was meant to be played, old, new and in the middle. The DJ’s are brilliantly funny and care about their listeners. Can’t recommend enough.
