Assessor was extremely professional and friendly, made me feel very comfortable during the assessment.
Good communication throughout from referral to assessment.
Great resources supplied while waiting for medication

The clinical team were amazing, empathetic and experienced and very thorough. Very happy with how much detail and information they gathered and how they assessed the information and observations to carry out a comprehensive diagnosis. Administration was not as good but overall a very positive experience.

They discharged me accidentally and the handling is totally inadequate. I have been diagnosed more than a month ago and nothing had been done.

Interviews carried out with compassion.Very good communication.

Felt really comfortable with the clinician. The only negative I would say is the waiting time.

I’ve had mixed experiences with ProblemShared.
On the positive side, all staff I’ve had direct contact with (clinicians and support staff) have been consistently professional, kind and helpful. I felt well supported during assessment and initial stages, and up until recently I would have recommended them.
However, the administrative follow-up around appointments has been very poor, and is now actively affecting my care.
I was given a medication review appointment two weeks ago, that I couldn’t attend (it is for tomorrow) and followed the correct process on the same day to request a reschedule. After no response, I chased a week later by email and phone (which cut off). It then took nearly two weeks to receive a reply - this did not offer an alternative appointment, but instead warned of delays to my treatment if I could not attend the original slot and strongly implied this would be 'my fault'
That original appointment is still in the system, and I continue to receive reminders for it despite clearly stating I think 3 or 4 times now that I cannot attend. I have a client booked at that time which predated the appointment, and it cannot be rearranged. Today I phoned and waited on hold this morning for 25 mins, then had to attend a client appointment. Picking up again straight after, the recorded message now says the phone lines are closed and I need to call within working hours - this was at 11.45 to 12 noon today, and working hours are stated as 9-5.30pm.
The result is that I am left without an alternative appointment, being made to feel responsible for delays, and having to repeatedly chase, and having spent in total probably around 3 hours with emails and phone calls which have got me nowhere - all of which is particularly difficult in the context of ADHD, not known for our love of admin, and ability to remember to prioritise and motivate ourselves towards this kind of thing...
It’s also worth noting that I waited over a year for an assessment, and a further 9–12 months for a first medication appointment. I understand demand is high, but there are other Right to Choose providers with significantly shorter wait times.
What’s disappointing is that this kind of experience - poor communication, slow admin response, and patients being left in limbo - is exactly what put me off other providers when choosing where to be referred. I chose a provider with a longer wait expecting better service. It’s frustrating to now be encountering the same issues here.
I would still say the clinical side is strong, and the admin staff are lovely if you can get hold of them, but the administrative systems need urgent improvement. I have sent loads of family members and clients to Problem Shared based on my initial experiences, but at the moment, I wouldn’t feel confident recommending ProblemShared based on more recent experience.

So yet again I feel so let down by problem shared ! Eventually got an email saying approved for adhd mediation and someone would be in touch with an appointment ! 13 days later I called as not heard anything and was told they had not done something their end properly and had I not called I would t even get my medication appointment ! 44 weeks after diagnosis and uploading everything ready for medication and still not got it yet but hey I’ve got an appointment next week for medication ! I feel so let down and upset by the whole process I even cancelled my autism assessment with them as I can’t go through all this mess again

The actual assessment was hard but I found the assessor was good and spot on with my diagnosis

It was hard to know how to choose from the 6 providers my GP forwarded to me. After some research I decided on Problem Shared: they stated a 16 week waitlist. In the end I waited 28 weeks. The transparency over wait-time could have been better as the extra few months limbo was unsettling. However, Despite the wait however I was put at complete ease during my appointment. Andrew was easy going, friendly, non-judgmental and knowledgeable. He took me through the process and managed my expectations. My paperwork was fast and thorough and I felt seen and respected. I am now on another 30 week waitlist for medication review but I feel a huge relief from finally having the answers to a lifes worth of unanswered questions. Thank you

Super easy process. Yes I had to wait about a year for my assessment but the time flew by. The assessment itself was very easy going and comfortable. They really do take the time to make you feel relaxed. I was not sure what to expect after being told I was autistic and was suprised at all the information they had to give me like booklets for friends and family to understand or ways for me to understand myself better. It has already changed my life so much just knowing.

Very helpful staff at problem shared. My experience with Problem Shared was straightforward and overall very good. From registration to diagnosis was a year. I had to complete a form as well as my mother, and then the assessment they met me and a relative I lived with gave their testimony. The online assessment just felt like a conversation really & the staff involved have been very kind and patient. The diagnosis confirmed what I had strongly suspected for most of much of my life, but never got around to diagnosis or thought what's the point or maybe it was my imagination etc. However my diagnosis of ADHD in 2004 (age 24) was helpful, so hopefully my autism diagnosis at 46 is just as helpful. So far so good, it's helped me make peace with things & the psychoeducation provided actually appears to be very helpful & informative. This diagnosis has brought a lot more peace of mind, acceptance, and understanding. It makes it seem less of an issue, because now there is a certainty.

Very good service. I would recommended to others.
Sarah Le Quesne was excellent. Talked me through everything and put my mind at ease. On the follow-up she took time to run through everything with me. She was a pleasure to spend time with during this assessment process.

Had both my children assessed for ADHD. The assessment itself was good, they made my kids feel at ease and were able to adapt the questions as format of as needed. However the wait time for medication is unacceptably long 4-5 months!! Other private providers will issue prescription for medication on the day diagnosis and it can take a while to find the right dose and type. For this reason I would not use the Problemshared ADHD service again.

Great experience using ProblemShared for an ADHD assessment. The process was fast, thorough, and felt very well managed from start to finish.
The only downside was the website, which feels a bit outdated and could be improved, particularly in terms of mobile and desktop optimisation.
