Purplebone Dog Grooming Avis 43

We left our little dog for a grooming session at Chelsea location on Friday pm. The shop was far too warm, unfortunately we made the wrong decision and left him for his appointment. There were around 8 dogs total through the back at the time, (which was slightly cooler), they looked fine so we felt it was ok.
However when we collected him, he was not himself afterwards and could /would only walk one block before we had to carry him. He was in some pain later and discomfort so we rested him all night but the next day was worse (Sat). He was in a lot of discomfort and would not walk/relieve himself.
We had to take him to the emergency Vets yesterday (Sat) which was upsetting and stressful for all of us, especially as we are only visiting London.
The Vets opinion was that he had been ‘mishandled’ or been ‘subject to a fall etc’! and he was ‘reacting to the trauma’ -
Very disappointed & upset for my little boy as if something did happen at the groomers they should have made us fully aware, and we are now blaming ourselves for leaving him alone there. We will be speaking with the management further, but we any reply to our calls/messages etc.

My lovely poodle,Sofia, looks always great after her fantastic grooming at Purplebone . I always trust the groomer,Billy,in my opinion he is the best, he takes care of my dog as it would be one of his own.You can see how passionate is he about grooming because he handle Sofia with so much care. I have been a customer of Purplebone on kings road and Notting Hill for the last 2 years.I am very satisfied, would highly recommend.

My small dog has been here 3 times, the first for a nail clipping which they cut him and he had a little bleeding, annoyingly no one even told me i actually had to ask when i noticed a little blood on my fingers and they dismissed it very quickly which was unprofessional. He then had cuts and grazes on his skin and a horrible ear burn which turned into an infection. Not even a sorry these people said he was already like this!! Do not take your dog there as they are more about money than caring for dogs hence the turnaround of groomers. Shepherds bush closed down and it was a tight stair case with mostly boxes of their shop things and the space was a joke.. not fit for nail cutting let alone grooming. Notting Hill was where the very bad grooming experience happened for me and i would not recommend these people. These groomers probably don't have qualifications and certainly don't have first aid skills at all. Its ok for treats although you may not find the same brand or product after a few months as they don't have consistent brands they keep changing it up. The coats and toys are ok but to be honest it only looks nice from outside.. customer service and staff are not very good either

I can't recommend Billy the groomer at Purple Bone Notting Hill highly enough. My brush-phobic Westie, Harry, is always turned our immaculately after his groom and always attracts lots of comments of how good he looks.

The only place I'd ever take him to be groomed.

Bramble is 11 years old, diabetic and partially sighted. As a Border Terrier, he has never had a coat that could be stripped so he has been clipped since he was 1 years old. I started using Purple Bone last year having by had bad experiences with two different salons.
Not only do they do a beautiful job at a reasonable price, but they offer him water and monitor his care throughout.
He's always happy to go there and I'm very happy to have found them.

Second groom but this time at Notting Hill branch as Westfield branch doesn't seem to do grooming any more.
Though I asked to have a scruffy dog back, Hector was shawn like a sheep. He hates and I mean hates being even brushed and the groomer said it was better to keep him short as this time he handled it better ( it took two of them last time). Wish they had left a little more of his tail though. Make sure if you have a winter groom that you have a warm coat ready in case this happens.

While been groomed Purple bone burned my dog ear to a crisp resulting of he loosing it .the ear dropped off into my hands had they told me it could be saved The dog suffered in pain until I found out what happened I used to take my little dog every two weeks and they were very good until this terrible injury happened In fact I kept and still have his burned ear in my freezer as evidence just in case ! Since I found out of more dogs injured at this place 5 in all and the most recent a Pekinese had his little belly cut to bits .Dogs can not speak So we must do it for them

Purple Bone is the best dog groomers in London,our puppy has been going there since he had his first cut and blow dry!Without exception he is always complimented on how beautifully groomed he is making us super proud of him!He is always excited when he sees Billy as they bonded the very first time they met and it's an ongoing love affair! Purple bone is number 1 in our book. Happy dog,happy Chelsea family!

I had received a collar and lead for my dog as a present last year and it was a great quality product. However the collar was worn and I needed to replace it and the one that I received was not of same quality standard. I was disappointed.

I purchased a third Union Jack collar for my Jack Russell terrier as it has become his trademark and everyone loves the look. However each one has frayed very quickly within a month or so!!! At the price charged it really is not sustainable to keep buying them. Whilst I recognise the product is linen and therefore has the lovely washed out look within a month or so the collar has become threadbare on each occasion and the bow elastic just drops so you end up with a dangly bow which kind of folds up on itself. Had the dog clipped yesterday and quite honestly the collar which is now on full view Is going to have to go in the bin!!! Shame as the design is fabulous and the bow and collar perfect size. Perhaps you could give me some feedback as to whether you have had other customers with the same problem!!! I will attempt to attach a photo to this e mail.

I booked well ahead for my three cocker spaniels to be groomed but when I telephoned the salon to confirm the booking they told me that they only had two booked in. When I told them that I had booked for all of my dogs and would have no reason to leave one out the member of staff said that I hadn't - so I took them somewhere where it wasn't insinuated that I was lying.

I have been to the kings road branch twice and have been very happy with the results
I forgot to take in a picture the second time and was very pleased that the groomer had one of my dog,
i would recommend them and the groomer to anyone 5 stars

Harrison & Cooper are looking super dapper, pristine and wagged their tales all the way home! I can only guess that they had a great time!

Excellent grooming and a happy pooch at the end of it.

I brought my dog in have have her nails done and to brush her teeth, but the assistant refused to brush my dogs teeth- even though it was mentioned on the website that this service was offered.The assistant then gave me attitude when I did not offer a tip.

my dog HATES the groomers but these guys dealt with him professionally and without any complaints

Purplebone have some really unusual and cool designs for pets. They sell onine and via shops. We have used the shop in Westfield and also online. The products were well made, lovely design, washable and our dog loves them!
