This is malware. It cannot be removed from organizational meetings at all.

Updating preferences and saving does nothing.

I cannot stress this enough. Do not sign up for this service. This is the shadiest piece of crap software I've seen in 15 years.

This is a virus. This has been plaguing whole of our organization and people are worried on how to remove it.
Nobody knows why we are getting this added on, nobody knows how to get rid of it. They said I can delete my account, I dont have an account. I tried logging in and it showed me account setup page. So essentially I have to create an account and then try to delete it

This app is a TOTAL SCAM - they ask you to sign up for 7 days but DO NOT LET YOU REMOVE IT
when you ask the support team for help they send generic articles that do not assist
It feels like they are deliberately not letting you leave
ALso the tech is not great - the meeting notes are not properly summarised - it feels like they are scraping data and stalking - which if they are would explain why they are reluctant to let you remove this -

The app is buggy. You cannot rely on it to take notes of important work meetings.
1. It sometimes doesn't enter meetings that have been on your calendar for some time now, even those that appear in the calendar within the Read.ai dashboard.
2. Even if you add it manually to a meeting, it may not record/transcribe the meeting. Happened with me, even though I am a subscriber of the Pro (paid) version of the app.
3. Support team doesn't respond on time.

If you need a reliable app to record important work meetings, suggest using one of the several alternatives out there that offer the same features.

If I could rate less than 1 I would. When you sign up they create multiple accounts. When you “cancel”, it’s a never ending back and forth with their awful customer support to try and identify and delete all these accounts. They will then tell you they can’t delete accounts for “security purposes”. COMPLETE SCAM and AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Malware, not software. Read.ai attaches to MS Teams and reappears at every Teams meeting, despite efforts to remove it. It never asks for a prior authorisation and is conducive to illegal behaviour as taping discussions without prior agreement is not permitted in most countries. Astonishing that MS is lending its platform to such outrageous malware-like programs.

Software continues to show up on Teams and Zoom meetings even thought it's been disconnected and I've deleted my account completely. I've contacted support 3 times now over the past week and they just keep closing the tickets as "Solved". This is the epitome of shady business practices and anyone considering this software should avoid it like the plague.

Also, the user named “David Shim” leaving a review is the CEO if that tells you anything about the shady-ness.

What a piece of ungodly crap! These mentally challenged developers made the distribution viral and extremely difficult to remove. Basically, the app virally attaches to your Teams, if a meeting participant used it. Given that it is a recording app for calls, and recording calls without explicit consent of all participants is illegal (criminal) under most civilized jurisdictions, this app is a danger to humanity. Dear developers, go die in a ditch!

It works great for summarizing my meetings on Zoom, Microsoft, and Google. I joins automatically, sends me notes, and reminds me when follow-up items are due. It's like a personal assistant.

With the defaults, make sure to review, but it's pretty clear from what I can tell.

Read AI is nothing but malware. I never consciously downloaded it onto my computer, nor did I ever sign up for an account. Yet it is creating semi correct and glaringly WRONG summaries of important, confidential meetings against my will. The instructions for removing Read AI are all premised on one's having set up an account. I didn't set up an account, so I can't delete the account. Meanwhile this creepy app keeps doing its thing.

I hate this app. First of all it is not very accurate and a big legal exposure unless you read everything after each meeting , which will be a big waste of time. be very careful , it automatically sets itself up to attach to all your zoom meetings without letting you know, you get rid of it but it keeps showing up.

Signed up December 6, 2023 with the Enterprise plan. Added a couple of users but I couldn't find a list of users, how to remove/add more users. Reached out to support end of December, no response. I reached out again in January, after waiting a week they sent 2 link that didn't work. Reached out again in February, they got back to me again a week later with the same 2 broke links. March was the as previous months.

The support is terrible, the interface is missing many components.

I suggest the CEO stop updating FB posts and fix the company or else they will need to update their resume.

Very intrusive and impossible to delete.
Customer service is non existent.
There is a convoluted process to delete an account that involves SETTING UP the account AGAIN in order to access the page where it says "delete account". Then, it doesn't matter because the Read.ai ghost keeps popping up in every meeting. Please avoid.

Unnecessary, Inaccurate and Invasive.
Dangerous to our business. There could be legal consequences for damages this troll app can cause by facilitating this type of business interference without specific agreement by the meeting organizer.

HORRIBLE! I've been waiting on a response from support for over a week about a meeting recording I needed and couldn't get.

The minute I upgraded I was able to get the recording and CANCELLED! I will never record this to anyone! Fathom notetaker has me for ever!

Like it very much, they have taylor it. But i agree that if you dont know how to cuatomize it it can be anoying.

Aggressively joins meetings on multiple accounts and couldn't see how to stop it. Completely lost trust and deleted my account

I can't follow any of the claims done here by other users. I have used this software now for testing and comparing it to other meeting notes applications. I can say that the software has many features and for my personal taste it does best when compared to other solutions. Also the meeting join is not done automatically and you have to approve the application to join your meetings instead but I should mention that you should adjust the settings for this to happen. This is why you should always include an experienced IT Manager to setup services as these and not try this yourself unless you know what you're doing.

I did not sign up for this service, suspect I might have been grandfathered in by another service or some other sneaky practice had been used. This is a totally unacceptable way to access my calendar.
