I strongly advise travelers to avoid using GuestReservations.com and ReservationsStays.com. These websites mislead guests by using hotel names in their URLs, making people think they are booking directly with the hotel when they are not.

Not only do they charge massive booking fees, but they also offer no real customer support when issues arise. Many frustrated guests have come to our hotel believing they booked directly with us, only to realize they overpaid significantly through these third-party sites. This leads to confusion, disappointment, and refund requests that we, as hotels, are not responsible for.

These deceptive practices are damaging to both guests and hotels. If you're booking a hotel, always check that you're on the official hotel website to avoid unnecessary fees and frustration.

Misleading Website & Hidden Fees

Avoid this website! GuestReservations.com / ReservationsStays.com are misleading customers into believing they are booking directly with hotels when they are not. They use hotel names in their URLs and run Google Ads that look like official hotel websites.

Not only do they charge excessive booking fees, but they also create confusion for guests who think they are dealing directly with the hotel. Many frustrated customers end up calling hotels for refunds, only to find out that these bookings were made through a third party with unfair policies.

This kind of deceptive practice damages trust in the hospitality industry. Always book directly with the hotel or through reputable travel platforms to avoid unnecessary fees and booking headaches.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM. Confirm a res at a Wyndham and they gave address and phone of an unknown to us red roof inn…many phone call and never any help or correction just ghosting. . It was disgusting and dangerous in charlotte. Promised a shuttle and none…

non-existent customer service

non-existent customer service, do no use this site. Having used various sites it is way better to go directly to the hotel, unfortuately, i though i did but booked thru reservation stays. A complete and total nightmare.
As stated in other reviews, stay away.

DO NOT USE

we were turned away from the hotel with 2 children as they never made a booking and sent a fake confirmation. Now refusing to give a refund so having to resolve through credit card company

Scam - AVOID!!!!

Scam. Same story as others here. When payment completes a voucher loads with no info about the payment. No confirmation email. No receipt. No booking made, but money taken from my card. Support are denying that I made a booking. I’m hoping that at least those emails will be enough to claim service was paid but not provided to get refunded by bank, but it looks likely they’ll conclude I was a scammed and offer nothing.

Just like everyone else says- do not use this scam company

Just like everyone else, I made a reservation thinking I was on the hotel website. After completing the reservation and giving my card info I expected a receipt from the hotel. Instead I got a sort of "voucher" for the hotel stay that gave no info on the amount I had just paid, just the hotel name date of stay and my name. I realized then that I was on "reservationstays.com" not my hotel website. I called reservationstays and got a runaround. Then I called the hotel and found no reservation listed for me. I then called my credit card to stop payment, but they said I have to wait til the charge posts and then I can dispute. Meanwhile, reservationstays allows NO refunds, even for a mistaken reservation.

It is a scam to take your money. Please be careful when buying a reservation, and make sure the site is not really reservationStays. Better yet, just call your hotel and book it directly, to save yoursefl from the internet cesspool, filled with the likes of reservationStays.

I searched for an Athens, GA, BestWestern, which was switched to an Athens, AL, BestWestern on reservationStays. The website was called BestWesternAthens.com, but was really reservationStays. They will not allow me to correct the reservation. The company is all outsourced to India too; it is ridiculous.

They are the biggest scam out there ! Im going after them , you can go to Expedia who sell out their name to book this POS company who doesn’t have the clout to book with anyone - I have left my reviews & to DM ME -

Same as others. Looks like the website for the hotel and even if you select the refund option and pay extra. you can't get a refund. I even tried 15 minutes after booking realizing it wasn't through the hotel. Do not give them your money.

Terrible and a scam

Terrible and a scam. I “booked” a room in the morning, arrived that evening, no room. No booking, hotel said it was a scam. Reported asap to the bank. Numerous emails to this company, various excuses and no refund. Beware!

Total scam. Reported to FBI IC3.

Total scam. Showed up posing as the Marriott’s site and my wife didn’t notice until she had booked and then didn’t see the booking in her Marriott app. We called Amex fraud department and I just reported them to FBI IC3. Hope they’re within jurisdiction, but probably not. Don’t use!!

Hard to even give one star. They should be closed down. Worst customer service ever, and in all honestly big scam. Go through Expedia or TripAdvisor or the hotel / airline itself. Never use this site. Ever.

Scam! BEWARE!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Scam!! Same as everyone else - thought i was booking direct through Hilton!! Will not refund and also even add taxes on! Really unhelpful customer services too who cannot read emails, they just reply without actually bothering to read what you have written. I didn't even want to cancel, i just wanted to downgrade due to the taxes they added on! I dealt with Shubham who has terrible customer service skills!

Beware of this site

I, like everyone else here, was scammed by this company. I looked up a particular hotel and their site came up first, looking exactly like the hotel website. You don't realize what has happened until it's too late. I cannot say it enough---do not use these people, they are scammers!

The websites they use are very misleading and make you believe you are booking directly through the hotel webpage. Should you need to modify your reservation, you can't. I accidently booked through them because the website said starts wminneapolisfoshay making it look like you were booking with the mariott directly. They even have the mariott logo at the top of their booking. Very different from when you know you are booking thought a third party such as expedia, hotels.com, ect. Do not use.

My flight was cancelled by the airlines…

My flight was cancelled by the airlines the day before we were to check in to the hotel in Florida. I spoke to multiple "people" at this company and showed proof the flights were cancelled because of a hurricane which is considered a weather event beyond human control. Immediately they showed they wouldn't cancel the reservations and credit back my credit card. I spoke to the hotel manager directly and was told they refunded back to this company the funds for the stay. They kept the money from the hotel and from my credit card company. They are thieves and make every effort to rob people. Also, looking further into this company it should be noted they are in a questionable country with a horrible reputation. I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office in my state and further with the Washington US office. They are considered scammers. Avoid them at all costs. They don't even deserve 1 star. This business must be closed down.

Deceptive booking practices ...

Similar to others experiences, their booking process was very deceptive. I thought I had called the hotel directly in Sydney (Australia), being in Sydney myself at the time. But when I checked if the person I was talking to was at the hotel, he said vaguely that they 'took care' of the hotels bookings ...I should have been suspicious then and there. They quoted me a very good one night price but later when I checked my credit card it was $100 more than quoted. When I called them and then went back to an email they had sent after the fact, I saw they had charged me in US dollars, which they had never stated or confirmed. I wrote to them persistently to complain and they said they would listen to the recording of the booking. They came back to me and said the US dollars was quoted but did not confirm that they had listened to the recording and regardless, I am 100% certain that they did not quote in US dollars (the operator had asked me specifically if I was in Sydney at the time), because if it had been mentioned I would not have taken the booking. I told the hotel about the issue and there was nothing they said they could do. It seems to me that hotels should be looking at permissions given to third parties to make bookings as their reputations are also on the line.
I reported the transaction to my bank immediately and they investigated and eventually refunded me the booking amount, which also involved cancelling my credit card.
This has taught me a good lesson. I will double check that I am always calling the accommodation directly from now on.
