Wonderful distinctive perfumes and first class service and communication!

I got my purchase very quickly even with the train and postal strikes. The price of the discovery set is very reasonable some are ridiculously price. Initially I didn’t like the sense at all, as they are all so different from anything I have tried before. After I tried one and as the day went on I began to love it, the sent lasted all day and into the evening. I used them all, I was stopped twice in the supper market and asked what I was wearing, a man at work said someone is wearing a beautiful sent in here, I knew it was me 😊 I want them all, I brought a second descovery set to I can pick my favourite, which is gonna be hard to do.

Great comms from the seller throughout process of ordering samples and purchase. Found it hard to choose from the range of tempting scents but went for Amber in the end, which is an utterly hypnotic fragrance, smoky,sweet and spicy. All the good stuff. I'm obsessed!

Let's begin with the positives, I ordered Baklava Musk on Saturday afternoon during Black Friday weekend. Aside from being discounted, shipping was free and it arrived the following Tuesday morning. In addition to the full size bottle there were 6 samples and a £15 off voucher code included.

I like the overall concept of Rook, the perfumer's backstory, the meaning behind the triangle in its logo, the aesthetic appeal of the website, bottle design and packaging. From the standpoints of Marketing and PR, it's spot on.

Unfortunately, on to the negatives. The sprayer and nozzle are defective, however, as an avid collector and amateur perfumer, I have spare atomisers. I was able to transfer the fragrance to one of them.

The colour of the juice does not match that of the pictures on the website. I'm unsure if it's a reformulation or if I received a bottle from an old or nearly expired batch of this limited edition.

Secondly, there's the description of the notes, which read as absolutely amazing. However, the fragrance I received smells nothing like any of the described notes. In fact it remains quite linear. I grew up eating and making baklava. I am fully aware there are as many recipes as there are people in this world. We all interpret and associate smells differently, so perhaps this fragrance is solely the perfumer's interpretation of their own baklava recipe. Again makes me question if I received a bottle from an expired batch.

It's horses for courses. I'm sure there's someone out there loving this fragrance but it's not me. I wish the perfumer all the best and hope their company continues to thrive.

Amazing aromas! Just gorgeously unusual!

Great customer service across several purchases over the past year or so. Postage is always prompt and Nadeem is always polite and helpful with any queries.
As for the scents themselves - this is proper niche perfume. The scents aren't always for me but I can appreciate the artistry that goes into them and I'm never left thinking that the scents are something I've smelled elsewhere.
I can understand some folks being taken aback to begin with. I purchased the discovery set before I'd experienced much niche perfume and at first, to be honest, I didn't think there was anything there for me. My advice would always be - give it some time. Come back to the scents after a few months, and always, *always* give the scents a chance to warm and progress on your skin - you really can't get a proper feel for them just spraying in the lid or on a paper strip.
As it is, two of the scents that I initially dismissed outright are now amongst my favourite scents in my collection (Amber and Rook ❤) and I have another on my to buy list (Misk). Always get excited for the scent experiments so that I can get my nose on whatever Nadeem comes up with next. Thank you for the singular sniffs.

Rook Perfumes parcel arrived so swiftly. I was immediately struck by the smart packaging. Simple, Statement and Strikingly Eye catching. On trying the perfume, it started off almost medicinally, in a good way, something that made you feel safe. Moving to a warm "coal tar" hue, as it melted into my skin it slowly turned into a warm unctuous, deep caramel and slightly powdery scent. It's divine.

Fast delivery, great product, unfortunately I had to pay customs but that’s not the company’s fault

I bought the six sample set, I e used Thurible so far. It's a mature scent, for grown folk and I love it. I don't smell like everyone else. There was an issue with delivery due to my address repeating three times, don't know what happened there, but one message to customer service and a new package was sent out, no questions asked. Thank you.

This house is phenomenal! Experts in creating smells that evoke memories and emotions. The depth and journey the fragrances take and have you in, is in something I’ve never experienced from another house. Simply divine!

Afraid that I just do not like the smell of any of the perfumes. They are quite earthy and even though I wear musky strong perfumes - these just do not float my boat. I bought the trial pack and money not well spent.
