Bought this for my cat to help keep track of his where abouts. The tracker didn’t work, kept saying offline. Contacted them who said they couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working so would send a new one out. But that also didn’t work and said the same thing. I didn’t bother using it anymore and left it be. Now I’m being harassed by emails and letters threatening me to pay £65 for the subscription I signed up for. I’ve read so many reviews stating the exact same so it’s clear there’s some sort of scam going on here. If I don’t pay, it stays on my record. So I’m paying for a subscription that I never used as it never worked. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Bought a tracker on Amazon
Bought a tracker on Amazon. Signed up to the subscription and wasn’t clearly aware of the fact that a ‘contract’ is in place and you’re tied in. When the tracker was delivered, it never works properly out of the box - the dog never even wore it. Now being threatened with court action for something that has spent all of its time shoved in a drawer with all the other useless things that have no purpose.

This is a rubbish device
This is a rubbish device, It frequently showed my dog as being miles away, sometimes in the middle of a dual carriageway. The charge lasts at most three days at which point you have to remove your dog's collar, extract the device from the rubber holder and charge overnight. It is impossible to turn the device off when not needed so it is impossible to extend the recharging interval. The device is meant to beep to indicate its status but this doesn't happen. Much better trackers are available.

I just wanted to give some feedback on the gps tracker. First of all thank you for employing such lovely people on your phones, when I rang up your staff was really helpful and kind.
I'm a single man with mental health issues who lives on his own and my cat Charlie is the love of my life. He's had two big operations this year and now has low level kidney disease. The other day he normally comes in like clockwork but he was due in by 3.45pm and was out until 4.40pm. Sometimes time is perceived differently and I got so anxious and upset, so many thoughts go through your mind and heavend forfend if something did happen, how would I know.
So, I think when you think about getting a tracker you think its main use would be obviously to track your pet. However, for someone such as myself the main benefit is not so much tracking Charlie as being able to go through my day knowing that if I want to know he is safe and sound I can just look him up on the app. I'm making it a point to try and not check too often because we should all learn that we cant control everything but just having the tracker has given me such peace of mind.
I'm also very impressed with how non-quirky the device and app is. A lot of wi-fi devices are very cranky about connecting and re-connecting and it was with some trepidation that I turn off the tracker and then just turn it back on. I'm very impressed that you don't seem to need to re-connect the device on the app, that it just re-connects by itself. That's a key USP - if a device is in any way cranky, it would have undermined my confidence in its ability to stay connected - so bravo to the development and manufacturing team and software team for a great implementation.
If I may, for me, the details you provide about your tracker is almost too honest with regards to battery life. Yes, if you have it checking every minute and have it on 24 hours a day no doubt it may last only a couple of days but in my case Charlie is only allowed out from about 5am to 4pm and then I turn off the device. I also have the update set to only every ten minutes so I'm currently only seeing the battery down to 64% (approximately). If I may suggest, put some use case studies on your website. Have a use case where the tracker is on for 24hours a day and updating most frequently and then at the other end have it only on for 12 hours and updating less frequently. I seriously considered not getting your tracker because I thought with only three days that might run the risk that, if after two days I forgot to charge the tracker it might stop working. Charging every two days is a pain but in fact I'm seeing at least four days and I'm guess with my use nearing six. Also you have the low battery indicator and indicator on the app - more great design features that increase your peace of mind.
Finally, being able to locate the device by getting it to make a sound is inspired - it means that when gps may be slightly off because of the way it triangulates its position - you can also use your ears to locate your puss in the event you can't see it.
So, all in all, I'm chuffed to bits with the device and as I'm on a low income the cost was brilliant. Also given the fact that cats can lose collars being able to potentially order the next one for 15 pound is very much appreciated. Finally, I don't like subscription services because usually they ay are way too much for what they are and I couldn't afford them but being able to pay for the 5 year deal at 2.5 a month and then paying just 30 up front for the year was at a level that was within my budget. It's counter productive if the price is too high because you'd really have to think about whether to continue if there are other financial pressures.
All in all, especially given the higher cost of other trackers and their subscription services, I hope SaferPet becomes or continues to be the market leader.

Absolutely awful!
Purchased their pet tracker and unfortunately the device is never located. They sign you up for a subscription that you cannot get out of or cancel, even if you don't or can't use the device. Battery life is non-existent, you have to charge it up every couple of hours so what is the point? I wanted something to give me peace of mind when my dog is out in the field, that I know where she is. When the tracker didn't show up any location, I gave up. Either it doesn't work where we are located or the whole device and service is a con. Contacted their customer services who said they couldn't cancel the subscription and that I need to pay the remaining left for the next 5 years. Never again! I hope after reading this you don't purchase anything from 'Safer Pet' - ironic name.

Excellent Product Support and Customer Services
We have been a Safer Pet customer for three years and the tracker gives us peace of mind when Oliver goes off exploring the local farms and woodlands. We recently relocated and had issues with our tracker but the Safer Pet Customer Services team have been super and we can once again locate Oliver!

I have had a saferpet tracker for over a year now and it lost connection. The support team did all they could to help but it would not work. They kindly sent me a new tracker to replace it. 10/10 for their customer service.

Fantastic Tracker
I've had the tracker for almost two years and it has given me complete peace of mind, so much so, that I couldn't be without it now. After a bad experience with another brand, Safer Pet have been great, their customer service and replies to emails and messenger have provided me with updates when there have been little IT issues and a replacement tracker sent free of charge when something occurred that was out of my control. Safia and Faye in particular have both been incredibly helpful. The tracker and it's locating accuracy has been very good (i live quite rural so not sure if this would be different in a built up area?) the chimes are helpful but could be a bit louder and although the battery life isn't perfect, I can get three days worth as we switch the tracker off once the cat is in for the night to preserve power. I can see there are some negative comments on here but I would highly recommend my experience with Safer Pet.

Smallest tracker and super helpful!
Having used other trackers in the past i started to look for two replacements for my dog and cat. These are by far the smallest and most lightweight and very easy to charge. Our cat is quite an explorer and has not once been bothered with this new tracker on his collar. The tracker offers such peace of mind especially as he was in an accident a couple of years ago and was lost. Thank you Faye and Safia in the customer service team, you were always super helpful and quick to reply to my questions. I have already recommended this tracker to my family and friends as it is so simple and straightforward to use.

Do not use this tracker at any cost because people are able to switch it off if they get hold of your cat or dog and I was just speaking with the company And they said it can't be switched off but on there help screen it said it can be switched off I asked to be put through to supervisor which she tried to do but said there was no one available I'll call you back.i then checked the facts on their website I called back and spoke to the same lady this time she told me she was a supervisor who did she try to put me through to,their full of lies and I will be taking them to court I record all my phone calls so I have the evidence we'll never ever use this service again my cat is missing and I just want him back DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY would have give 0 stars not an option This company is useless just like the tracker

Great customer service

I can genuinely say that I had best…
I can genuinely say that I had best experience with this company so far. I have ordered my tag for my cat after my cat disappeared for 12 days (luckily came back distressed). Item came quickly, I had a little problem connecting tag to the app, contacted customer service and issue was resolved straight away, tag was working great and gave me 100% piece of mind. After few months my cat lost his collar with the tag. I could not find the tag anywhere, as it shown as off on my app (maybe someone found it and switched it off) even there was a lot of battery life left. I contacted company after a while saying that my cat lost tag a while ago and if it's possible to disconnect it or block it just in case so no one else could use it. They sorted me straight away again and also offered me a replacement tag and linked my previous subscription to it. I can say that this is how service should be! And I am very happy owerall.
Thank you, will continue using and will recommend to my friends and family!
