Outstanding customer service
I bought the tracker after spending lots of money on my pride and joy pooch. Though like many things, they were out lose charge and sometimes don’t want to play ball.
What I have found from the help team is a dedicated customer service team who go over and above to resolve the problem..
I’d even forgot to reply due to dreaded covid and the next comms I was asked how I was doing. How nice is that !
Special thanks to Faye Theo and sorry if I’ve missed anyone else. This is the customer service so many retailers lack. Guys. Your outstanding

If I could give no stars I would. Shocking customer service. Totally happy to take your money but as soon as you want to cancel you get the third degree of questions. I emailed with enough time before my next due payment and they have dragged it out with questions so much I will end up paying again even though I’m not using the service. Absolutely furious with them.

It does not do what it is sold to do.

It often show my position some two/three miles away. I have phoned the help line many times but only manged to speak to a person once, have had more luck via E mail. Despite a number of attempts to fix the problem (which includes sending me a replacement tracker) the problem remains. I have now contacted Safer Pets asking for a full refund.

Quick and easy
Got my tracker recently and it’s been great! It came with some instructions and was so easy to set up.
My dog likes to disappear into the bushes which and be a nightmare at times, the tracker has made it so easy to find where he has gone.

I found the trackers easy to set up and use and always wondered where my cats disappeared to, then I found out. Went to where the tracker says they were and found cats. They were in another street in someone else's back garden. God knows why they went there but I now know where to look for them, they are there everytime. I recommend these trackers as they do work . But they don't work if the cat is indoors as they can't get a signal.

Could be better, but better than nothing
We have had this product for a few months now and so I think I can write an honest review.
It seemed that compared to other products, this was the best one out there, certainly for the price.
We bought a one year sub and I personally wonder why people would buy anymore (yes, it's a cost saving, but not if you don't get on with the product or your pet dies etc.)? If you are completely happy after a year then buy the extended subscription then.
It was easy to set up and easy to set up on multiple devices. The unit is fairly small and discreet, depends on the size of the animal I guess. The battery lasts a couple of days, people have complained about this but I don’t understand what the issue is, you can set text reminders and you just take it off and charge it, which only takes a couple of hours or so. The GPS is better on satellite view and it only gives a location circle, not perfect but clearly better than nothing, at least you are in the right area. My circle is generally around 10m2.
So, onto the downside.
Firstly, I would have to say the customer service on email has been very good and responsive, I cannot really complain about that. But the real issue is if you have a cat that stays in a lot, the GPS connection drops out and you don’t really know. You must check the phone and it will say ‘device is offline’, though it may also have run out of battery. I guess if the animal is out a lot then it will stay connected but in my case it has been frustrating. This first became an issue when the cat came back with her collar! I tried to locate the device on the GPS but it was offline. Again, to be fair, the customer service team were very good and sent me a replacement device at a discount.
It has been a few months now and I sort of know how to use it, which is basically checking the device is connected before letting the cat out. It’s a pain because most of the time it is not connected and you have to reset or charge the device and then wait for it to reconnect. As I say, if you cat is in and out I think you would not have this problem.
So, all in all, it’s better than nothing, it’s not overly expensive, it just could be better.

Not worth the money - customer service poor
I bought this after reading a couple of reviews - I wish I'd read more!
The GPS tracker wasn't accurate & was sometimes 2 streets out; not much good if you're trying to find your pet.
I bought the 3 year subscription because my dog was only 20 months old & yes, it was cheaper. However, my dog died 2 weeks ago at only 2 years old. When I asked about cancelling I was told I couldn't. All I could do was change the subscription to a one year's sub & cancel at the end of that year! So, on top of what I'd already paid, I had to pay a further £18.
My advice would be to look at other trackers & don't buy this one.

Saferpet's customer service is exceptional!
Saferpet's customer service is outstanding!
I have been using their GPS tracker for my cat for almost 1 year. It has worked well. One day my cat returned without his collar, and therefore gps tracker. The tracker was faulty (switching online/offline without being touched) which meant I couldn't track it down. I contacted Saferpet about this incident and Ryan was very sympathetic and explained water damage can cause the GPS to become faulty. He offered me a new tracker at a reduced price. He then ensured I would receive it in the post the next day, which I did. He also advised me to call/contact them again to connect the device to my account, which I did and he got it set up very quickly for me.
I'm genuinely thrilled with how kind and understanding Ryan was. This was truly exceptional customer service from Saferpet.
I highly recommend!

A great solution for a very small cat with no sense of direction
We needed to find a suitable GPS for our rescue cat as she kept getting lost and was really distressed every time. She was only 2.9 Kgs at that time, so a small device was crucial.
Safer pet offered us a great solution. She is happy to wear it, and although she has been lost a few times since, we are always confident we can find her.
In addition, our house sitter is also able to download the app meaning she is happier when we have to go away. The customer services is also excellent, we had an issue which was sorted out very quickly which was important to us.
We now have two so that Little Noa can wear them in rotation, as she has finally worked out the cat flap at night. I totally recommend Safer Pet.

Lost and found
We bought two Safer Pet trackers for our Burmese kittens having reviewed a number of products and have been delighted with their performance. On two occasions the kittens went missing and we tracked one to the rooftop of a neighbour’s house the other had fallen off a wall into an adjoining garden but was completely lost.
The devices did the job and we recovered the cats which were agitated by the experience but quickly found.
A recent malfunction with one of the devices was replaced quickly without fuss and the support from Safer Pet was outstanding
We would thoroughly recommend this product for piece of mind and always knowing the movements of your pets

I don’t recommend this, mainly cause of terrible battery life, you will stop using this service very fast and the catch is that your subscription is long. You cannot cancel anytime. I subscribe for 3 years and stopped using it at all after few weeks. No one told me about cool off period so now I have to pay even tho I don’t use their service. Very clever of the company - not good for customers.

simply - does not work in the Real World
The tracker simply does not work where we live/take our dog for a walk. They advertise that it jumps carrier to ensure coverage but whilst my wife and I can use our phones where we walk our dog, the tracker does not pick him up, or has a delay of 2-3 minutes (useless - given he has clearly moved in this time). I mailed and asked if I could cancel and was told yes but only if i paid for three years in full, despite explaining the product did not meet the advertised coverage (if it jumps carriers why can i use my phone fine but the tracker does not pick up the dog). Really let down by the product and the customer service. Looking at other reviews, if you have a cat that stays with close distance of your home, you'll be fine. If you have a dog and want to actually take it out into the countryside, give up before you try.

So far very pleased with it!
Noggin is 11 years old and been an outdoor/indoor cat all his life.
We have moved from Yorkshire to Scotland and naturally we are keen to keep him safe but know he will never be happy 100% indoors. We have kept him in for 3 weeks though.
He has been allowed to roam 3 times so far with us madly tracking him. First 2 times we called to him when we knew he was nearby and he came right home after an hour of fun.
The last time we could see he had gone further afield and suspected he was lost so went in the car to pick him up and he was right where the map said so I called to him and he was happy to see me…have him a ride home 😃
Today we will try again. We are photographing the tracking maps so we can see that he is following the same routes. Fingers crossed he learns the neighbourhood soon!
Edited to add:
The last 2 days he has not gone far at all and resumed his habit of a jaunt and then an expended snooze on the bed. He is so much happier.
It’s an excellent product and a lifesaver for us. As you can see by the pic it does not bother him and in fact he doesn’t fight it being put on as he knows what it means….freedom! (Sort of😃)

The product is awful
The product is awful, just don’t bother. Half the time the app couldn’t locate the device, the battery life of the device is shocking and it became nothing but a pain as it needed charging daily. I cancelled the direct debit 10 months in. I have explained to the team my constant issues, they still continued to badger me for the remaining two payments!! A awful product, stay clear

Rocky start but giving a chance
*2nd Update* Well, I gave it a good chance, but sadly, still not working reliably or consistently despite 3 call backs, so sadly, will now have to try to get my money back before returns time ends. Been such a shame, I gave it a chance and really wanted it to work but it just doesn't - constantly gives completely wrong location or says offline, creating more anxiety than without it.
*1st Update* After putting up a bad review here and on Facebook, the customer care team managed to get back in touch after 24hours of us feeling like we'd purchased something that didn't work, with no support. They said that no excuse but they do have staff sickness, which in this day and age, I can forgive. Appreciated the aftercare when it finally came and the product is live and working now. They also offered to touch base with me tomorrow to see how I am finding it. I think after you purchase the subscription if it says "unfulfilled" in the status, they may just not have actioned/processed the device technically yet, so it might seem you have everything in order and it's just waiting for them to do something their end... Other than the initial blip, I am a bit dubious at how heavy it feels to me, and seems to be dragging his thin collar a little... might need to get something more robust... worried it may slip off / get him caught... but for now, I am just relieved that there is something on him after he went missing for a week. Thank you for getting it sorted today Safer Pet team. We really needed this, hope it works out ok. Sorry I had to write the first review, but reading others it really worried me. Nice people when they do get back to you - hope things get better for them in terms of staffing as everything else they are doing seems to be fairly good.

Bought tracker and 1 year subscription
Bought tracker and 1 year subscription. Doesn't work. Emailed for support. No response. Phoned at 9am.nobody there then called back 3 timesand just auto disconnects. Doesn't work first time and lack of support
Edit. Now on second tracker that doesn't work!!
Edit. Theo from the Tech team helped get the second one up and running. And the tracker is giving me so much peace of mind with the Rescue cat.
Well done Theo, outstanding customer service.
Turned this around for me from a 1 star to a 4 star
