What a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were urgently in need of some Bufalo board as a stallion had made light work of an internal stable partition. I tried ringing to obtain some urgently at 7:20am having found some on the internet. The automated message told me Sheet Materials was not yet open so I tried Travis Perkins and a local timber yard to us. Both were eye wateringly expensive. Then my phone rang and George from Sheet Materials was on the line saying they had a missed call from us. I was impressed by this - but also from the professional way he deelt with my questions and guided me to order online as it was more secure and promised it would be delivered the following day. My husband was sceptical as it was so much cheaper than our local timber yard. The board not only arrived on time but was brilliant quality. My husband had to eat his words and we now have 8 sheets of Bufalo board delivered for the same price as two we would have had to collect locally. The guy who fitted them now wants a link to buy from you as does another farmer friend who needs some roofing. Fantastic service guys.

Nice company to deal with
Nice company to deal with, the staff were very helpful on the phone and the delivery driver was also very polite. More importantly the wood seems to be of good quality. I bought some sheets to cover my decking and the driver said this is what they use on ship decks which is perfect because I have lots of plants on the deck that need watering regularly.

The choice of boards on the website & the helpful information on each product is great, but most importantly is that their prices are very competitive.
I've been buying boards for 40 years & have always shopped around, but I don't bother looking anywhere else now!

WIll never use again!!!
First time using this company and we will not be using them again.
65 sheets of MDF were meant to be delivered and despite a phone call the day before specifying the exact time slot, the delivery never arrived.
Additional man power was arranged and were onsite until 6pm on a Friday evening to bring the 65, 3x1.2m sheets onsite which never arrived. This resulted in wasted time and more importantly, money.
After contacting customer support and leaving an email on the same Friday evening, the order arrived the following Monday and to make matters worse, 25 of the 65 sheets were damaged. They were subsequently returned and refunded but this again meant wasted time, energy and money.
The entire process experience was highly frustrating, bumpy and ultimately very poor and we will not be using sheet materials wholesale again.

We understand the importance of timely delivery and regret the inconvenience caused by the delay, especially after you had arranged additional manpower. While your delivery was rescheduled for the following working day due to unforeseen logistical circumstances, we appreciate how frustrating this must have been.
Regarding the condition of the boards, when you first reached out to us about 12 marked sheets, we reviewed the images provided and found that the boards were still structurally sound and suitable for their intended use. As a gesture of goodwill, we offered a partial refund to keep the boards. When this was declined, we agreed to collect them instead. We later accommodated your revised request to return 25 sheets, arranged the collection at no cost, and issued a full refund—despite this being outside our usual return policy.
While we did our best to resolve the issue fairly and promptly, we're sorry that this still fell short of your expectations. We take all feedback seriously and are always looking for ways to improve our service.
We hope you might reconsider using us again in the future, and we’d be happy to support your needs should you choose to give us another chance.

Another 5 stars for SMW
Another 5 stars for SMW. First time of using.Ordered 4 sheets of Finsa Hydrofugo Mdf for some panelling. Sheets were a very good price. Delivery to Croydon. I did feel the delivery charge of £50 was a bit steep. That did make me look elsewhere but could not find the boards local to me. Good website and easy to navigate to what you want. Ordered on Sunday and was expecting to wait 5 days for delivery. On Monday received Email, boards will be delivered Tuesday between 10 and 1pm. Tuesday received confirmation Email and text boards delivery Tue. Received a call from driver before delivery but missed the call. Two friendly happy guys arrived in a van and were happy to take the boards where i wanted. Excellent service from ordering, information about delivery, Given a time slot is always good and the two delivery guys exceptional and i would now be happy to pay the £50 delivery charge again because of the excellent delivery i received. The boards were in perfect condition. Thank you
