In mid 2025 I set our home up with Solar power and battery through Smart Energy. I was so impressed with the whole team through out the entire process that when, in late 2025, I needed to replace our old hot water cylinder I opted to go through Smart Energy again. They were friendly and efficient just like my first experience and went above and beyond to get our Hot Water Heat Pump installed as fast as possible. We went with their second choice, a Steibl Electron, as we would have been waiting up to 10 days for a Rinnai to be delivered. Unfortunately their was a problem and we frequently had no hot water and constantly had to reset it until finally resetting it wouldn't work anymore. Smart Energy sent out a plumber asap upon me making contact. It was then found to be a significant gas problem. Smart Energy sent out a refrigerant expert promptly. It then came down to Steibl needing to honour the warranty and arrange replacement with which they dragged their feet on wanting to send out another expert. Olivia from Smart energy remained in consistent contact with me and followed up with Steibl the entire time until the system was finally replaced with a newer model. The team at Smart Energy are friendly, efficient and responsive. I will always highly recommend them.

Very efficient from start to finish. Installation of the battery was done very neatly as I was concerned it would be big and obtrusive to look at. Installers were great at explaining the app and how it works. Top experience and would recommend these guys to anyone 😄

We recently upgraded our solar system with Smart Energy and couldn’t be happier with how easy the whole experience was.

We had previously mentioned that we were considering upgrading when we had some issues with our existing solar, and Smart Energy later contacted us to see if we were ready to look at our options.

From there, everything was really straightforward. A solar specialist came out to speak with us, talked us through the options, put together a plan and quote, and we were able to get everything booked in on the same day.

The communication throughout the whole process was fantastic. We always knew what was happening and when, and any questions we had were answered promptly.

The installers were also great. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and professionally, and were respectful of our home. They got everything done without disrupting our day at all.

Overall, it was a really easy and stress-free experience from start to finish. We are very happy with our new solar system and would definitely recommend Smart Energy to anyone considering an upgrade.

We got quotes from 4 solar experts and all wanted to remove our existing solar panels and supply new ones along with a battery,
Only Smart Energy said It was not necessary as the existing panels were good and only a Battery was needed that saved us $5000.00 and now installed its going very well.

After the purchase and install of the original system, I recieved a lot of phone calls pushing further sales for a heat pump then an extra battery. We eventually committed to an additional battery. The service and install has been great. No issues there, but we have made a significant financial commitment that is going to take a long while to pay off. Not quite as bad as ongoing electricity bills though.

The young man who stayed on phone with me for nearly 1 hour, was polite, so helpful, patient and so full of understanding. He kept on with the problem of getting my system connected to the internet, until it was achieved. I could tell he genuinely cared about helping me. Customer service was exceptional. Your company is fortunate in having someone in the team who is first class.

Installers did a great job and were very professional cleaning up after themselves.
