Everyone was friendly to work with, from Sales to installers everything was smooth and easy. Work areas left clean so was happy with that also.

Fast install really friendly helpful staff

The workmen fitting the battery, arrived at the time that was arranged.
They were polite and friendly and was willing to help me get into the AlphaESS app.
Once they were finished they cleaned up the area and made sure to say goodbye.

From our initial meeting with their rep until the contractor finished the job, the entire process was smooth, very organised and completed exactly as they said it would, giving us the outcomes promised.

Batteries are not suitable for extreme cold conditions . Contactor who they used has blown up numerous items in the house. Been a nightmare. Cold morning battery wont take charge until operating is over 0. Therefore some morning that can be around 11am and therefore we don't have enough time to fully charge our batteries. Further to Jack's reply well guess what. We have been offered a replacement on 1 fan. So therefore 2 others not working, roller shutter not working range hood. Then he proceeds to write "Wont sell anything unsuitable " What a joke. Just go elsewhere unless you want a horrible experience. Hopefully department of fair trading or the small courts will work this company out. A disgrace. Still trying to get repairs done. Biggest question is if Compound based in Tamworth who did the install felt there where issues in the switch board / wiring why did the proceed with the job and why was ourselves or smart energy not reported to? Where is the safety report? Nothing. Just appears to be a smoke screen to cover their bad workmanship. Guess what no further action from this company even though the promised to bring an independent person in. See what fair trading now has to say.
Well finally an independent electrician turned up. Was such a great guy to deal with better than anything from smart energy.
Looked at the specs on batteries also. Interesting .
Further to their promises of lower power bills well guess what it wasn't.

The guys are very great lots of information quick smooth installation

The first installation of solar panels and a battery went well. Everything has been working well for nearly eighteen months. My summer power bill went from $1500 to about $250, and I used the aircon a lot.

Then in April this year, I received the offer of more batteries to cover power for the entire year while the Government rebates were current. I took up the offer. After a perfect physical installation, it took over two weeks to work out why the batteries were not working. The batteries and the power board were not turned on after testing. Apparently, the person doing the testing was not available to come and fix the problem. Finally, I was given instructions on how to fix the problem myself. I was not happy since I paid for installation.

The plus side is that there is a customer service phone number to call and specialists to solve my problems. The solar panels and batteries seem reliable; just ask for a demo so that you can see the system is working before the installer leaves the site.

Totally smooth easy to deal with, everything explained, happy to answer all questions. Installers were very professional in what they were doing, If only all transactions were this good.

Great punctual service they turned up in a timely manner and was done within 2 hrs. The installers also helped out as some pigeons made a nest on our inverts so they cleaned it up and made sure no damages were done.
From start to finish Smart Energy maintain open communication from start to finish.
We knew what type of battery we wanted and they had it. This type we trusted as we have a byd car and we wanted the same type of house battery. We waited for this type before getting a house battery and I was glad we did. They even got us a great energy provider also. Since the install we have my doing test on what to use and when to use it so we go into the night with a full battery. Our Dryer is the biggest consumption of energy. Even more then charging our ev car.
This is a great system and would recommend to anyone.

I had a problem with my system and they organised techs to come and fix it all.

Good communication of the features of the battery and what to expect regarding the process. Very fast installation and workers did a nice tidy job.

The salesman was very nice. Seemed to know what he was selling and why. Answered all our questions in a way that we understood. Follow up prior to installation was good with reminders of when it was all happening. The tradesmen were on time , very tidy and explained the set up and the app to us. Payment was easy, with a number of ways to do this. You can pay outright, a deposit with periodic payments or just the periodic payments. If wanted you can pay off earlier if you have a windfall, at no extra charge. All a good experience.
