Beginner Ski Camp Austria
It was one of the best trips I’ve been on - great organisation, awesome people, helpful team leaders. Special shoutout to Liva for all her help with my boot fitting issues (she had to take me to another town to find a boot that fit).
We were also quite lucky with the snow conditions

Amazing experience and support from Sophie
I did the level 1 course on Rusutsu. The experience was incredible and would recommend to anyone (particularly those who just finished school or university). However, my experience would not have been nearly as good without Sophie at Snowminds as she has helped me with countless inquiries I have had, such as having calls with my family and I before committing to the experience, responding quickly and informatively to all my emails, advising me on how to ship my ski equipment back home, and so much more. Outstanding support in creating a once in a lifetime experience.
Our son is currently instructing in Whistler and thanks to all the wonderful people at Snowminds it was a pretty easy process in getting him there. Their knowledge of the industry, obtaining visas, organising instructor interviews, flights, accommodation, bank account….the list is endless! We recently visited him and were so thrilled for him with the lifetime friendships he has made with the boys he is living with. They have plans to meet up after the season and even travel together. A great experience for him living with so many different nationalities. We would highly recommended anyone to Snowminds. Brilliant service and continuous support.

Har været en uge i Tokyo efterfulgt af en uge på ski i NIseko med Snowminds som rejsearrangør. Turen har været rigtig godt tilrettelagt af Snowminds og de udfordringer der opstod undervejs løste de med stor tilfredshed. På baggrund af mine oplevelser vil jeg klart anbefale Snowminds.

The snowboard camp was a lot of fun
The snowboard camp was a lot of fun. Great people, well organized and pro instructors. The terrain was amazing though we didn't have a lot of new show. Also a lot of fun activities outside of the snowboarding.

Best best camp to experience the snow and meet new friends
Honestly had the best time on this camp. I did 2 week learn to snowboard camp. It was so well organised from when I arrived to when I departed. Lots of fun on the mountain and Snowminds even helped me switch from snowboarding to skiing. I’ve recommended it already to heaps of people in London if you want to learn or experience the all mountain/ off piste. Everyone had a great time. Shout out to Liva who really helped run the show and making sure everyone was maximising their experience and was where they wanted to be, games etc. All these camps need a Liva!

What a fantastic trip and course! I did the 1 week technical ski camp to learn proper technique after years of being self taught!
I learnt how to do short turns, long turns and pole plant. Along with J turns and carving drills! My skiing became wayyy better in such a short space of time!
I had never been on a solo trip before, as I’m a bit nervous. I was made to feel at home within moments of arriving, everyone was so lovely. I made new friends for life, and can’t recommend this more if you want to refine your skill, or learn to ski or snowboard. There’s something for everyone, and you’re made to feel right at home!
Unfortunately, I suffer a bad skiing injury, which resulted in surgery 2 days later. ACL reconstruction using hamstring graft, MCL avulsion and rupture and meniscus tear. Liva the team leader went above and beyond to help me, and I don’t know what I would have done without her. The whole team were so supportive and super helpful to make this bad situation way less stressful and easier. I felt so much more at ease!

Snowminds uppgav att de skulle ordna transport mellan Kaprun och Sölden.
I praktiken innebar detta att de köpte biljetter till kommunaltrafik med 5–7 byten, trots att resenärerna är unga, reste på egen hand och hade skidutrustning och bagage.
När vi påtalade att detta inte är en rimlig tolkning av ”ordnad transport” och bad om en mer fungerande lösning, vägrade Snowminds att hjälpa till eller erbjuda alternativ.
De hänvisar konsekvent till sina villkor, men servicenivån och kommunikationen inför resan skapar helt andra förväntningar.
Jag rekommenderar starkt att framtida kunder kräver tydlig och skriftlig information om vad ”ordnad transport” faktiskt innebär innan bokning.
Väldigt besviken på Snowmainds, det känns väldigt oseriöst.

First of all, I am sorry to hear about your frustration regarding the transportation for the girls. You are right that arranged transport is included in your daughters’ bookings with us, as it is for all participants on our courses in Austria. As communicated both in writing and verbally prior to the course, arranged transport can consist of public buses, trains, taxis, or pick-up arranged by the ski schools, depending on the destination and course location.
While we always aim to make these journeys as comfortable and manageable as possible, in some cases the transport may include changes along the way. We appreciate your feedback and will take it seriously, as it highlights the importance of being even clearer in how we communicate what arranged transport can involve.
With that being said, I would also like to clarify that the group was never intended to make 5–7 changes during their journey. The original booking involved three planned changes (Zell am See, Wörgl, and Ötztal Bahnhof). When concerns were raised, we made additional efforts to support the girls by arranging assistance from one of our Team Leaders for the first part of the journey, as well as helping to make the final part of the trip a bit easier.
With this in mind, I hope it is clear that we strive to support our participants and set them up for a successful season, including when it comes to travel and expectations. We sincerely hope the girls will enjoy their season in Sölden, and as always, both you and they are welcome to reach out to us by phone or email if there is anything we can assist with.

High Cost, Questionable Support - bullying is supported among instructors by Snowminds
I paid over €7,200 for the Level 1 Snowminds ski instructor program in Spain. Seeing how other instructors who applied themselves and did their own national ski instructor training got more work and respect assured me that one does not need to pay this much for the same results. I summarize my experience below after a full season spent in the Snowminds-lead program:
Others who signed up for this program taught already even before receiving their certificate. I worked for over a month without a proper work contract (even after asking for it multiple times), and despite having B2 Spanish and strong skiing skills, I was given fewer lessons compared to others with lower language level and weaker skills.
A part of the Snowminds culture also included bullying behaviour, which was known internally, yet the individual was later promoted to team leader for the new incoming group. One of my flatmates decided to rather move back home sooner than staying in that environment, yet nobody else who didn't live with us in the same flat said anything nor supported the bullied individuals.
Regarding the homologación, which Snowminds stated would be handled for us, I still have no written confirmation or official proof of approval - they don't even send you information on where you can ask about this. The response I received was that “there is no notification, but historically it usually goes through,” which leaves me without formal documentation that I can use for future applications.
The organisation that provided the TD1 education (ISEDI) was highly unresponsive, did not answer emails for weeks, and the scores on our certificates did not reflect real performance — they were rather arbitrarily assigned. Communication from the educational institution was often unclear or unanswered. Not to mention that our trainer was unprofessional towards women - which was escalated by a fellow Snowminds programs participant at the time.
Overall, I did get experience in Sierra Nevada, but the delivery did not match what was marketed, particularly regarding job security, support, and official paperwork. I advise future applicants to research carefully, read previous reviews, and not assume that hours, contracts or homologación documents will be guaranteed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your reflections. I understand that this experience was important to you, and I want to address your points clearly and respectfully. At the same time, I need to be honest and firm about the facts and the limits of Snowminds’ responsibility.
As we discussed extensively during the season, the ski school alone determines work distribution. Snowminds has no authority over lesson allocation, scheduling, or prioritization decisions. If other instructors were given more hours, it was because the ski school assessed their skills or suitability differently. This was communicated to you many times throughout the season. If you continued to receive fewer hours even after these conversations, then there were additional reasons determined by the ski school, not by us.
You did also receive a contract, and while I understand you felt the process took longer than expected, it was handled by the ski school directly. Again, this is something outside of Snowminds’ control, and we always encourage to take these chats with the ski school directly.
Regarding the alleged bullying within the group, we addressed this matter repeatedly during the course. After speaking with everyone involved, it was clear that what occurred were personality clashes, not bullying. Nevertheless, we took the situation seriously, facilitated discussions, and ensured everyone had the opportunity to speak openly. I’m very sorry if you felt that we could have supported you further in this, and would have liked to handled it with you directly.
The homologación is an internal approval required by Spanish educational authorities, not a document issued to instructors. Because it is a government process, there is no formal notification system, which is why we explained that confirmation is typically indirect and based on historical approval patterns. While I understand this may feel unsatisfying, it is the structure of the Spanish system, not a Snowminds decision.
Your feedback on ISEDI was heard, and despite delays from the institution, you did receive your TD1 certification during the season. Communication challenges with Spanish institutions are unfortunately common and not something Snowminds can control. We have since taken steps to improve this by changing our course providers in Spain, to avoid further clashes with this part of the process.
I’m personally also sorry that you are concerned about us and our professionalism. The moment I was made aware of concerns regarding trainer behaviour, I arranged a meeting with the individuals involved to understand the situation and take action. We have since changed our training partner to ensure a better environment moving forward.
I appreciate that your season did not fully match your expectations. However, it is important to note that many others in the same program had very different experiences, including strong work opportunities and positive feedback. We supported you throughout the season, exchanged numerous long conversations, and did our best within the limits of factors we cannot control, such as ski school decisions and Spanish bureaucracy.
Your feedback has been duly noted, and I genuinely wish you the best going forward.

An amazing experience in Austria
I took part in the one-week skill development camp in Austria this year, and it was a blast! I was part of the snowboarding group, which was much smaller than the ski group(s), but the instructors were super hands-on and great to work with. Huge shout out to Julia and Kim who went to incredible lengths with organising the camp and all the fun apres activities; it really made the whole experience unforgettable.
A massive thanks to our instructors Leon and Nicolai; I took part in this camp to both boost my skills and regain some much needed confidence after an injury last year, and they absolutely delivered on both! Hope to see you guys around on the slopes some day.
I 100% recommend this camp to anyone looking for a great group of people to supercharge your snowboarding/skiing skills, and to just have an amazing time on and off the slopes!
