I had the best time during my season at Big White. Our Snowminds team leader, Jack Sumner, was the heart and soul of the 2024/25 season, bringing unmatched energy, care, and leadership to the team. From day one, he cultivated an incredible vibe that made everyone feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely part of something special. Jack constantly checked in on team members, never letting any concern slip through the cracks. When I broke my wrist, he went above and beyond—helping me find meaningful ways to stay involved and feel purposeful while I recovered. His commitment to team bonding was just as strong: from epic scavenger hunts to bowling nights, laser tag, team dinners, and unforgettable moments, Jack made sure fun and connection were always on the schedule. Perhaps most memorably, he cooked an entire Christmas dinner for the Snowminds team, creating a warm, festive space that made us all feel like family. Jack’s leadership wasn’t just effective—it was full of heart.

I spent a season at Big White in Canada through Snowminds, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I booked the course or even before that actually, the entire Snowminds team was incredibly helpful and supportive with any questions or concerns I had.

Our team-leader, Jack he guided and supported our group from start to finish, whether it was issues with the ski school or helping us settle into life in Canada. He was always approachable and ready to help, which made a huge difference.

If you’re considering, I would highly recommend snowminds for anyone planning to do a first season abroad:)

Well organised, made the ski season very easy!

Min sesong i verbier har vært helt fantastisk. Jeg har fått mange nye venner fra hele verden og vi har sammen fått oppleve en hverdag hvor ski og sosial aktivitet har vært i fokus. Det sosiale har nok vært den beste delen av mitt opphold i Verbier. Jeg har møtt så mange fantastiske mennesker som har gjort mitt opphold til en minnerik tid, som jeg kommer til å ha med meg resten av livet.
Snowmindes har vært veldig flinke til å arrangere sosiale aktiviteter for oss, det har vært karaoke, grilling, pride skiing, free drinks and food at the pub og mye mer. Jeg anbefaler en sesong i Verbier på det sterkeste!

I did my skiinstructor course TD1 with Snowminds in Spain. It was extremely lovely, and I've loved everything from the start in December to my departure in March. Granada was amazing, Sierra Nevada (although patchy sometimes) was an amazing place to ski and to learn as well, and a special thanks to Alvaro for teaching me and the crew so many skiing skills. That, along with teaching was an amazing experience.

I'm a bit hampered in my happiness because of events, partially out of Snowminds control, but which is still going to drag the review down. Firstly, Spanish bereaucracy was an absolute mess, and I highly expect the process to go a lot smoother next season, as we got basically nothing done in that field during the season.
Secondly, the social aspects. I've had a lot of contact with the Snowminds representative for Spain, and I've certainly had some very usefull tips how to tackle some issues, but some never subsided. The reason I departed in the beginning of March instead of, say, end April, is due to massive bullying from one of the other Snowminds participants. This bullying got so severe, that I reached out to Snowminds multiple times, and although I can imagine not being able to hand out sanctions on the spot, it's our social life after all, the failure of Snowminds to come with any sort of sanction, be it within the structure of Snowminds, paints a picture og an organisation, that does not mind bullies being part of their structure in the coming years. I've recommended a suspension from Snowminds activities, since someone can't simply get away with bullying, but without success. After I've left as well, some of the other participants experienced bullying too, reached out and got basically nothing in return.

It is that the rest of the experience was absolutely amazing, that I'm still giving 3 stars - above average. Considering the messes described above, I can't put it any higher than that though.
With all due respect, there is certainly a lot of room for improvement.

Had a great experience with Snowminds! Communication was always good and they were always there when I needed help. And I am especially grateful for Christoffer because he was always available and would solve the problem as soon as possible. The course in Saas Fee was really good and I’ve made so many new friends and connections through it.
If you want to enjoy a season without overthinking everything, these guys will have your back 😁

The best decision i ever made!

I was doing a season in Niseko, Japan with Snowminds. I have never tried anything crazier!

The Snowminds team leaders made the whole group of over 70 new instructors feel like we have known each other forever:-)

I had the best 4-5 months of my life and I am absolutely planning on doing it again. Thank you Snowminds

The whole season was filled with amazing experiences and new interactions everyday. Snowminds has put together a fantastic team and the support I had while here was first class. Thank you Christoffer and the snowminds team for the best season.

My experience with Snowminds was absolutely incredible! Thanks to their program, I had the opportunity to spend an entire season working as a ski instructor in Kitzbühel, Austria. Kitzbuhel was a great town for me to be a ski instructor. I met so many nice people. Along with this, the ski area was very big and had amazing slopes as well as a fun park and areas to practice your jumps or to practice your racing. Something else that made Kitzbuhel such a fun place was the famous Hahnekamm Race, which made the season even better as we got to go in for free in our instructor jackets and watch such a cool race upclose. There were also always parties going on in Kitzbuhel. Overall, I had the best experience and the time of my life in Kitzbuhel and I am so happy I got to do my first season there!!!!

My experience with Snowminds has been amazing. They’ve supported me throughout my journey to becoming a ski instructor – something I’ve dreamed about for a long time. It’s clear that they truly care about me, both as a skier and as a person, and that they genuinely want me to have the best season possible.

To be perfectly honest, I did not trust snowminds in the beginning, but that later turned around tremendously. They helped me through the 2024/2025 ski season with everything. From transportation to Austria, getting my Anwärter and finally a workplace at a ski school (and taking me there). For this I am extremely grateful because this was something I had a lot of worries about before.

I do have to point out that the ski schools themselves are often very unclear about everything, but this is beyond the control of Snowminds or any "travel agent". What Snowminds does have is their experience with several ski schools and they shared it with me. This also gave me more confidence the ski season.

Jeg tog med Snowminds til Verbier, og det blev en af de bedste oplevelser i mit liv. Træningen var super professionel og udfordrende, og vi blev hele tiden støttet og guidet af dygtige og passionerede instruktører. Man kunne virkelig mærke sin egen udvikling – både som skiløber og formidler.

Verbier er et fantastisk område med smukke omgivelser, kæmpe pisteområde og en fed skikultur. Det sociale fællesskab var også noget helt særligt. Jeg har fået nogle tætte venskaber med folk fra hele verden, og jeg har fået mig et fantastisk europæisk netværk!

Snowminds har styr på alt – lige fra forberedelse hjemmefra til hverdagen i Alperne. Jeg følte mig tryg hele vejen og vil klart anbefale dem til alle, der overvejer en sæson som skiinstruktør. Du får ikke bare en uddannelse, men en oplevelse for livet.

I went on a 2 week technical improver camp in March. The course was great, the instructor, Mads, was very good correcting my bad habits and pushing me to become better while still keeping it enjoyable.
The Snowminds leaders were great and there if needed. Julia and Kim organised evening and daytime activities, Austrian skittles, curling, culture nights, ski tuning, après ski picnic, visit to Salzburg etc. All of which added to the experience.
I would recommend this camp to anyone and I hope to be there again next year.

Ik heb afgelopen november/december mijn Änwerter gehaald via Snowminds in Kaprun via de 5 weekse opleiding. Mijn tijd in Kaprun was geweldig. Naast mijn Änwerter halen en ski techniek verbeteren heb ik veel nieuwe mensen leren kennen en vrienden kunnen maken. Dit kon allemaal soepel gaan aangezien Snowminds al veel geregeld had en altijd behulpzaam was wanneer je hulp nodig had. Ook fijn dat ik aan een top werkplek ben gekoppeld in Dachstein-West door Snowminds waar ik een geweldige tijd heb gehad als skileraar!

Had a great season in japan with snowminds where i got my level 1+2 CSIA for teaching in skiing, in which i made plenty of new friends and had an experience i will never forget.

The real MVP of the trip was Konstantin, who was our snowminds group leader and support for our trip, who did an incredible job for all of those in snowminds! He deserves a bonus for his hard work.

Had a great season in Japan, traveling through snowminds. Found it helpful having a safety base through the company and their help with everything from the visa to hearing about the previous experiences of instructors travelling through Snowminds. Pricy but at the same rate as other companies providing the same service.

The season was super fun got to meet lots of ppl and made so many new friends. Also got to better my ways of teaching people how to ski.

Snowminds really care about the experience you have and their relationship with you it seems genuine to me and that is so important for me. I would recommend Snowminds highly to anyone looking to become a ski instructor, they seem like a really good company with such a friendly and helpful team.

I will be using Snowminds again for further training!
