Wayne the surveyor was exceptional, he went out of his way to make sure the replacement roof was exactly what we wanted, he arranged for a special box gutter to be made to reduce the width size and also advise against a vega window. He even came on the first day of the visit to ensure everything was correct. The fitters Connor and James worked through Storm Claudia. All the staff we came in contact with were very good. There was a lot more mess created than I imagined. There were a few mishaps, but all were rectified.

From start to finish we were informed of who would be arriving and what time they were coming, very satisfied with the communication. Everyone who came to work on the conservatory were polite friendly and respected our property. Very pleased with the finished conservatory and the standard of work. We would definitely recommend solarframe.

We have used SolarFrame previously for another property extension and were happy with their service and work. This time it was for new windows, these have transformed our home which were part of our refurbishment works. John and Perry
were our fitters and they did a great job.
The triple glazing have made such a difference to our heating.

From the very first consultation on the phone, to the appointment where we talked through our requirements, the measurement service and finally the fitting, everything went excellently. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the SolarFrame team and even though some of the panes of glass needed to be replaced due to tiny blemishes, everything was dealt with superbly and efficiently. Kat ensured we were kept up to date at all times, questions into Saj before we even got measured up were answered helpfully and promptly and Dean and Dane have to be the best fitters ever! Their attention to detail was first class. Lastly Carl did a quick, fantastic job finishing off the last few bits and pieces. Will definitely be using them again! Thanks so much.

Excellent service yet again from Solarframe. Have used this company 3 times now over the years most recently for a replacement patio door . Mark and Steve completed the fitting to a very high standard with minimal disruption and left our home nice and clean and tidy. From our first meeting with Sajid to completion of the work, everything went smoothly. Sajid was professional, polite, and was prepared to spend time to make sure that we understood the process and also everything about the construction, product, and design. We had a plan of the work set out by Connor and so knew exactly what was happening.
The fitters worked none stop with minimum disruption leaving us with no unnecessary mess to clear up. The work was completed within the time scale quoted.

We recently had new windows and doors installed by SolarFrame, and the entire experience has been exceptional from start to finish. The process from the initial sales visit right through to the final fitting was smooth, well-organised, and completely stress-free.

A special mention goes to the two fitters Mark and Steve, whose professionalism was outstanding. They worked with impressive speed and efficiency, and the tidiness of their work was second to none. It was clear that they take real pride in what they do, and the results speak for themselves.

We’d also like to give a big thank you to our coordinator, Kate, for organising everything so smoothly. Her communication and attention to detail made the whole journey even easier.

Solarframe built us a beautiful garden room efficiently and professionally and in the time frame given, give or take a few days. It looks beautiful!!

On the whole, we are very happy. A very good structure built by very good teams, and the work schedule was adhered to. Occasional delay in communication with Solar Frame, and despite signing up we felt the initial sales visit didn't immediately meet our wishes, but this was corrected by the subsequent surveyor visit.

We have recently had all our windows and external doors replaced by Solarframe and we cannot praise this company and staff highly enough!
From the initial visit to the showroom which was very relaxed and pressure free to our home visit by Saj, to installation, the whole experience was amazing.
Saj was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the whole range of products without a hint of hardsell.
It was because we had such a positive meeting with Saj that we had the confidence to go ahead with the order.
From there we were kept up to date with the progress by Kat with detailed explanations of what to expect on installation day. The full installation took 2 days, the work was carried out by Mark and Steve with the highest of professionalism, efficiency and tidiness.

SolarFrame replaced most windows at our house, and replaced a glass roof to our conservatory with an insulated, tiled roof. The planning for the work and its delivery were to the highest standard.

From start to finish the service was fantastic. Everything explained to us and not bugged to make a purchase. We had a new door fitted. Excellent quality fitted by Mark and Steve. They worked quickly and cleanly. Fabulous service from start to finish. Will definitely use Solar Frame in the future

Our first visit to the Solarframe site at Barnsley convinced us to use the company to replace our ageing glass conservatory. The displays are comprehensive and people we met on site were polite and professional. The sales personnel were not aggressive or pushy and we were happy to place an order, based on a combination of two of the designs seen at the site.
All Solarframe personnel who have undertaken the build have known exactly what they were doing, and been thoroughly professional in their work. Any requests we had and snags we reported were quickly dealt with.
They are not going to be the cheapest, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. If you want very good, Solarframe provide it.

Just had all our house windows replaced by Solar Frame. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is wanting replacement windows. From the moment we walked into the showroom to final completion everyone kept us informed and upto date with the process. The fitters John and Perry were excellent from start to finish and really took a pride in their job. When finished they made sure everything was neat and tidy. First of all Solar frames show rooms at Rotherham are wonderful. There are a number of different types of rooms each as lovely as each other. They impressed us enough to use them to create a new room for us. All the trades men who worked on our property were very good. They constantly worked hard to get the job done knowing other trades men were to follow. All polite and considerate. The new bricks match the existing ones very well. We were given a schedule from the start which was well documented and followed, We were kept informed of the workmen's arrivals. They have created a lovely sun room for us, a space we can now use all year round. It is reassuring to know we now have a 10 year guarantee and reliable aftercare should it be needed.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Solar Frames from start to finish.

I initially placed a request for a call and was immediately bombarded with nine missed calls. When I called back, they made me feel like it was my fault for not answering, saying they had “tried so many times to contact me.” Not a great start.

We then booked an appointment — which they didn’t show up for. When I called to ask, I was told it “wasn’t on their calendar.” When they eventually did turn up, the representative spent most of the time criticizing other companies, except for Coral, and claimed they could price match my Coral quote.

The initial quote was £23,510, which was reduced to £19,276 when I said it was too expensive. I then shared Coral’s offer, which was originally £16k, reduced to £11k as a special offer. Solar Frames said they would match that price and send a quote the same day.

However, I never received the quote. Instead, I got a call from a manager saying they wouldn’t honour the quoted price, and the adviser later messaged me claiming there had been a “small discrepancy” — yet the new price was £15,456, a difference of £4,356! That’s not a small discrepancy by any measure.

Even after following up multiple times, I still haven’t received the final quote until today 5 days later. To make matters worse, they explained that even after you agree, a “specialist” still has to visit to “reconfirm pricing,” meaning the number could change again.

Overall, the whole process felt unprofessional, confusing, and misleading. I would absolutely not recommend Solar Frames to anyone looking for an honest or straightforward experience.

Thoroughly professional from start to finish. All schedules adhered to. Top quality workmanship and materials. Builders were very accommodating and happy to make alterations to suit.

Avoid this company like you would avoid the plague!
We had a large orangery extension built by solar frame between January 2025 and completed in May 2025 and I definitely would not recommend this company.
Don’t be fooled by the slick sales process because the minute you pay the deposit and sign the contract anything that is slick will evaporate into dust.
This company treats customers like they’re a nuisance they lie, send unsupervised contractors, fit the poorest quality they can get away with and when you complain your treated like a difficult customer. One of the doors was such poor quality we have already replaced it. Edit: To be clear this was replaced at our own cost by another company. Not replaced by solar frame under warranty as they are suggesting in their response. We did raise it as an
issue but were told nothing would be done about it.
All contractors are not employed by solar frame and there is absolutely no supervision or project management, they didn’t even arrange for the building control inspector to come.
Pretty sure he only signed it off because solar frame pressured him to do so. If you do use this company which I strongly suggest you don’t, definitely get your own building inspector and arrange for them to visit at key pints yourself.
Also don’t be fooled by the supposed 10 year guarantee, as 5 months after finishing the build the patio doors are falling apart partly due to poor fitting and partly due to poor quality - they said a fitter would come in 3 weeks, on the date booked in they never arrived, they then booked another date in for a week later and have just called to say they can’t make it now.
There is a repeated pattern if you look carefully through the poor reviews many people are saying the same thing. The sales people tell you you can change aspects of the initial order form ie add radiators, lights etc at no extra cost. But when it comes to it and you try to add say a radiator they charge you an extortionate amount and say it’s not in the contract - don’t be fooled make sure everything is written down in the contact and don’t believe a word the sales people say because they will happily lie to your face.

From start to finish, we can't fault the service, attention to detail and standard of work. So pleased with the finished orangery. Even the bricks and tiles were matched beautifully to the existing house. The team checked in frequently to ensure everything was going well, and every tradesman has been courteous, professional and excellent at what they do. Thank you Solar Frame for a brilliant job!
