South East Solar & Electrical Avis 

I ordered my solar panels through Essex County Council’s “Switch Together” scheme. It saved me a great deal of time obtaining and comparing quotations and checking company reviews. The quotation I received was clear and detailed. As the scaffolding and installers would already be on site, I decided to cover the whole roof with panels. A revised quotation arrived quickly, although the increased power output required approval from the network operator, which delayed the start of the installation.
Once permission was granted, everything ran smoothly and the installation was completed very neatly. Fitting the panels took one day, followed by another half-day to complete the electrical work. The system was switched on at lunchtime on a sunny day and immediately generated 8 kW of electricity—very exciting!
The certificate for the larger system took some time to arrive, and Octopus has not yet resolved the smart meter issue. Even so, between 14 August and 6 September we generated 1.5 MWh of electricity, including 550 kWh exported to the grid.
In hindsight, I should have spent more time discussing the system and the placement of its components with Southeast Solar. That said, I am very pleased with the overall process, and the system itself is excellent.
I would particularly like to thank Jade Taylor, who looked after everything as my main point of contact, as well as the engineers and other staff, who were courteous and professional throughout.

Joe the electrician and the roofing team were professional, explained what they were doing, asked me how I wanted things to fit/look on the external runs. They fitted 16 panels and a battery system all in 2 days. No hesitation in recommending.

Ross & Co were all really nice and friendly. They explained all the works they were going to do and I felt 100% comfortable with them doing a good job.

Once the works were finished Ross clearly explained how the panels work and also guided me through works that had been completed. He then showed me an application that I can use on my phone that tells me how much energy the panels are collecting and other essential information about the solar panels.

I had a smooth and trouble-free solar and battery installation with South East Solar & Electrical.
Clear quotation, answered all my questions and once finalised, the installation was completed within a few weeks; with the installation carried out in one day.

Fitters were great, but scaffolders broke 4-5 tiles on taking down scaffold and I only discovered by chance on entering the attic and seeing light through the roof. Tiles replaced but no apology given. In fact the after-sales agent was a poor communicator and neither he nor SESE were able to give much info on operating the software, which is surprising and disappointing. You'll probably get a good install but keep a close eye on the rest.

An enjoyable experience, they listened to my requirements and tweaked the specifications, a compedative quote, along with helpful staff in all departments. Installation went without any hitches with well trained and helpful installers who left the site cleaner than it was before they turned up.

Backup (mainly due to my lack of knowledge) was always friendly and helpful.

She put together a highly detailed solar PV design for my home, and the sheer effort and expertise she invested in the proposal were greatly appreciated. Excellent service all round from SESE. Installation was fast, efficient and mess free. Jade was particularly patient with me as I made various tweaks to the number of panels and batteries. I have become somewhat obsessed with watching how much my electric costs me now (usually about 4p per day, except for that cursed standing charge). Handover documents and all necessary documentation to enable setting up exporting to the grid were promptly provided and made that process easy. Aftercare was also excellent as I got my head around how it all worked. All in all I had a positive and stress free experience. Also, they were considerably better value than other installers I looked at. Highly recommend them.

The planning process took a while, with several iterations required, but my property's roof is a bit more complex than most. The final plan met my needs and price-point perfectly. The installation went smoothly. The installation team members were professional, knowledgable, swift but accurate in their work, and courteous at all times. The same applies to the office staff, also the scaffolding teams. Our solar electric system works very well, delivering 95% of my property's electricity consumption in its first week (early September). I strongly recommend South East Solar & Electrical.

The level of service for the design and installation of my solar panels provided by SESE was excellent from start to finish. The staff were helpful and professional throughout from the first point of contact with Billy-Jane to the final installation involving Joe, Chris and Dustin. Chris and Dustin were meticulous in their completion of the task to the highest of standards despite the length of the job and the adverse weather conditions, remaining remarkably cheerful throughout the whole process!
