All went well eventually, but contractor did not turn up on original install date

Clean and tidy installers. Survey got the number of possible panels wrong but that was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Discussion about system size and cable route was good with all team members (before and after install day). Would have liked if the possibility of a larger inverter to allow for future expansion was suggested, as it was it seemed like I thought of the idea. Fox ESS system (including app) is excellent although it takes time to work out why it does what it does, it is not always obvious. My score shows I am overall delighted with everyone. Thanks.

It’s fair to say our installation experience was extremely stressful and not good! Whatever could have gone wrong did! It took approximately 7 weeks to correct the issues with the installation, which resulted in an approximate 7 week delay before the solar system was fully operational. Now it’s operational we are pleased, however, personally, these issues resulted in a complete lack of trust and confidence in the workmanship.

Although the installation had a few issues, the initial set-up and organisation, followed by a great price by Switch Together were really good.

Overall pleased with outcome.

Communications from LMF not as good as could be making experience more stressful than need be and perhaps design suboptimal as a result.
SEG seems a bit convoluted too but hoping to get approval.

Installation was very efficient. Scaffold took only about 2 hours on one day. Installation of the panels, cabling, battery works were all completed include all the test and commission on another full day.

And then lastly, connect the system to home router, and install the app, and necessary registration and login,
and walk-through the system, were all done on that same day.

All seemed good 👍. One or two minor issues after installation but resolved promptly.

Small problem, but it took two weeks to rectify.

Process took far too long. I had to gee things up. Initial quotation was via a software package which was in light grey wording so hard to read. Wrong panels delivered so had to make a hurried decision and to have a panel where I didn't want one. 7% estimated yearly increase in electricity cost was too high at the time. SP took ages to give me a MPAN number; in fact, I'm still exporting to the grid for no payment. I've submitted a complaint to SP. Estimated payback period based on energy only so did not take into account what I call 'the cost of money' to finance the panels. Unbeknown to me, I had to pay SP £400 due to my distance from a substation and they limit what I can sell back - if I ever get that far. That's not the installer's fault but can't recall if this eventuality was mentioned in the quotation, though could be wrong.

The installation was great. Sorting out app and SEG was on the slow side.

Great service from start to finish and would not hesitate to recommend this team of people - from the initial assessment to the installation they worked in an intelligent and responsive manner.
