Installation was very efficient
Installation was very efficient. Scaffold took only about 2 hours on one day. Installation of the panels, cabling, battery works were all completed include all the test and commission on another full day.
And then lastly, connect the system to home router, and install the app, and necessary registration and login,
and walk-through the system, were all done on that same day.

Process took far too long
Process took far too long. I had to gee things up. Initial quotation was via a software package which was in light grey wording so hard to read. Wrong panels delivered so had to make a hurried decision and to have a panel where I didn't want one. 7% estimated yearly increase in electricity cost was too high at the time. SP took ages to give me a MPAN number; in fact, I'm still exporting to the grid for no payment. I've submitted a complaint to SP. Estimated payback period based on energy only so did not take into account what I call 'the cost of money' to finance the panels. Unbeknown to me, I had to pay SP £400 due to my distance from a substation and they limit what I can sell back - if I ever get that far. That's not the installer's fault but can't recall if this eventuality was mentioned in the quotation, though could be wrong.

Solar panels installation …
Very well organised scaffolding arrived and was collected on time. The panel fitters were good, just a little untidy leaving cable ties etc in our gutters The electrician was very good installed the battery etc where we needed them
Our main problem now is we have no confirmation of the components garentee and no feed in tariff from our supplier

The initial survey and subsequent price were very promising . Once we had given the go ahead we were kept informed at every stage of the process. Installation was very efficient and we have been very pleased with the results so far.

Very pleased with the installation of solar panels plus hot water boost device. Scaffold erect before install electrical arrived early panel fitter arrived mid morning all working mid afternoon, . Very slick op with a great price.

Very efficient. The electrician worked hard to get the cables routed through the loft space to minimise exposure inside the house or over the roof.

UPS Solar were fantastic.
Using the Switch Together pricing, the price was very good but the downside is that UPS Solar has very little capacity for complicated installs.
I would happily recommend UPS Solar.

The process was very simple, just register, fill out a questionnaire and wait for your quotation. If you want to proceed then pay a small deposit. The panels and equipment is from the top manufacturers and the fitters keep you informed during the whole process.
