Lois Saved Me Money and a Lot of Stress
I was genuinely stuck between a rock and a hard place with a potential warranty claim. Our policy only covered labour costs up to a certain rate, but the approved garage that was initially recommended to us had advised us to take the car to a main dealer because their diagnostic equipment wouldn’t be able to identify the faults on our particular vehicle. The problem was that the main dealer’s labour rates were significantly higher than what our policy covered.
When I called Spectrum back, I spoke with Lois, who immediately understood the situation. She recommended a garage close to the main dealer, explaining that they were excellent to work with and that she’d be very surprised if they couldn’t carry out the diagnostics we needed. She also reassured me that Spectrum had an agreed labour rate with them, meaning the work would remain well within our policy cover.
After contacting the garage Lois recommended, everything was exactly as she said. They were able to help, and the agreed labour rate meant I avoided potentially significant additional costs.
Lois saved me a great deal of money and an enormous amount of stress. Her knowledge, understanding, and willingness to help made all the difference. Thank you, Lois!

Got a 5 star Cargiant policy
Got a 5 star Cargiant policy . I phoned up spectrum after having a noise coming from my BMW 5 . I spoke to one of the girls who was very helpful & after being moved from one garage I was told to go & see Nick at brittanic in Tottenham. He spoke to spectrum who authorised a transfer box . Happy customer .

DISAPOINTING
I bought a 2022 Audi Q2 through Motorpoint and paid extra for a 3-year extended warranty, which has turned out to be a complete waste of money. After about 7 months, the car developed a loud knocking noise, which I reported immediately to Spectrum and followed all their instructions exactly. The diagnostic found that the gearbox mounting bolts were not properly secured, and multiple mechanics confirmed this is something that should never happen. What makes this even worse is that the engine had clearly been slowly dropping over time due to these loose bolts, which is why the issue didn’t show up straight away, so there’s no way I could have known about it earlier. Despite this, the warranty company refused to cover the repair, hiding behind the excuse that it wasn’t a “sudden fault,” and Motorpoint also refused to help because I was just outside their 6-month window. So basically, they’ll only cover it if my engine had completely fallen out and possibly killed me. Instead, I’m left paying for a serious fault that was clearly there from the start while both companies dodge responsibility. And i am left without a car that i rely on for my job therefore has caused significant stress and anxiety. The idea that I should somehow have checked whether major components like engine or gearbox mounts were properly secured before buying the car is beyond ridiculous. This could have been extremely dangerous, yet neither company seems remotely concerned. Absolutely shocking service, zero accountability, and a complete waste of money. I would strongly warn anyone to avoid Motorpoint and their warranty provider.

Received a call from Emily who advised me that my claim is declined when quizzed her the reason why she was unpleasant and seemed to have a sarcastic tone in her voice while I understand my claim was declined there is no need for pure rudeness from her! Looking at all these good reviews for her makes me wonder if her friend or even herself done them !!!! If could it be a no star

Great news
Great news – after 3 weeks, my claim was finally authorised today and approved in full. A big thank you to Andrew W for his help and support throughout the process.
The garage has advised it'll be around another 5 days before my car is ready, but after such a long wait, it's a huge relief to know everything has been sorted. I can finally see the finish line!

Experience with spectrum
I spoke to Emily today after not being able to get hold of anyone yesterday to authorise my claim. She dealt with it straight away, contacted the garage for me and got all the details needed then rang me back to let me know what the outcome one was. She was highly professional, courteous, and explained why I probably was unable to speak to anyone yesterday. I can’t thank her enough for her quality of service provided today.

Would buy again
Ultimately, rather pleased with Spectrum and their product. The advisor, Emily, was courteous and helpful throughout and despite having a very long tailback of calls did try several times to get through to me before I could manage to answer the phone. She contacted my chosen repairer, got the details for the work needed under my warranty claim and authorised it within about an hour and explained the cost breakdown and the small difference that would need paid. Well worth getting the warranty as it has saved me essentially what it cost me at the time of purchase and this is the only claim I've had to make. I would purchase another Spectrum warranty if it was offered for a future car.
