Amazing Maths Tutor - Yi
We used Spires to assist my daugther with her A Level Maths. They matched us with the most amazing maths tutor called Yi. Yi was outstanding he took my daughter from averaging a C grade to achieving an A* in her A Level, we cannot recommend Yi enough. Their marketing team provide a steady stream of prospective clients for the subjects I teach/tutor.
Messaging, bidding, scheduling, reminders for upcoming classes, a Really nice lesson space environment for interactive tutoring/discussion (both of us can write and work out problems on the same Whiteboard in real time). Lessons are planed, saved on a whiteboard, and loaded into lesson space for each session (snap).
All in all, a great platform which is helping me transition my career into teaching and tutoring.

Elizabeth made learning Spanish Fun
Elizabeth was a great help to me with getting my Spanish A Level, I am not the easiest student, but she managed to find ways to work around my struggles to make learning easier, and most importantly, fun. My Spanish improved so much with her classes, and now, even though I have finished my Spanish studies, I will continue to practice and speak with what she has taught me.
She has taught me in such a valuable way, because even outside of academics, she has engaged me in a subject I was previously uninterested in, which is something I will go on to use indefinately.

Review of Oliver on Spires
I found Spires during the depths of my undergraduate dissertation, and I am truly grateful that I came across the platform! After a few free 15 minute meetings with a handful of tutors, I ended up going with Oliver to help me with my dissertation focused on Politics/International relations. Aside from being incredibly friendly, Oliver provided me with a huge amount of guidance. I was able to schedule sessions when they were convenient to me, and send over pieces of work that I wanted feedback on. Oliver answered any question I had (I’ll admit I had a lot!), and provided me invaluable assistance! I received a mark of 75 on my undergraduate dissertation! I am incredibly grateful for Oliver’s help - and Spires, of course. I couldn’t recommend him enough to any student stressed or worried about their dissertation. He is fantastic!

The support team told me that i was asking an unsustainable number of questions and told me to focus more on getting students.
The support team told me that i was asking for unsustainable levels of support, and suggested i focus on other things like increasing the number of students and how long they stay. Basically i now feel i cannot ask for more support, I found the attitude odd as surely support is their job, and telling me what to focus on, is NOT their job? Also sometimes i ask questions, I get sent a video (same one again) which does not have the answer to the question I have asked. I want to know, if it is supports job to support me with answers and help in a friendly and polite manner and is there a limit to the number of questions I can ask for in terms of help and support? If the support is coming from a bot its not well programmed. If from a person, that person has behaved and communicated as I have described above. I am now nervous to ask for support and I feel disrespected. You are welcome to review my entire chat history with your support team.

Spires provides a high level of support to our tutors and students, and it is at the core of our day-to-day operations. I have reviewed your conversations with my colleague. I can see that we have provided support to a variety of questions and that you seemed satisfied with the support you had previously received. We help a high volume of users and have a small customer support team. To provide some context, since January, we have dealt with over 10,000 inbound queries. My colleague was highlighting that we are unable to provide one user with a disproportionate amount of support. It was correctly highlighted that other resources you may find helpful to consult, in addition to the live chat function.
I can see your recent queries were primarily in relation to your payout method. My colleague highlighted that it is best not to regularly make changes to your payout method or linked account, as this is the best way to guarantee that there will not be delays or disruptions to your weekly payouts.
New tutors are advised to focus on building up a client base, strong hours per client metrics and good reviews/testimonials. This is general advice we give to all new tutors, as we have found this is the best way to gain a regular source of clients through Spires in the long term.
We do not have any limitations on the number of questions a user can ask. The live chat button is still there for you to utilise, and we are happy to assist you with any further queries you may have.

Highly recommend for dissertation support, mentoring, and prep work.
I joined Spires for support with my honours dissertation and was paired with Liam—and honestly, it was the best decision I made. In our regular sessions, we set clear goals to keep things moving, I bounced ideas off him, deepened my understanding of qualitative analysis, and got really thoughtful feedback on my structure and writing. Liam’s guidance and feedback were key in shaping the final piece, and I genuinely don’t think it would’ve reached the same quality without his support.

Post-grad dissertation support
I joined Spires because I wanted support for my postgraduate dissertation, which was 15,000 words of creating my own study, which felt very daunting! I had monthly sessions with Liam, where I could bounce ideas off him, create a survey, collect data, interpret the statistics, formulate a discussion, and finally produce the finished dissertation. He has been encouraging when things were tough, kept me on track, and helped keep my enthusiasm for my subject going over the months.
Through his tutoring, I have produced a far higher-quality dissertation than I feel I would have achieved on my own. My experience in spires tutoring has been great and enjoyable. I feel more confident in my studies and lectures due to the help and support from my tutor Mr. Hussein. Mr. Hussein is very well knowledgeable and patient tutor not only can he explain the lectures clear, simple and throughly but can also answer my curious questions outside of the lecture content. He simplifies any difficult concepts to a simpler and more enjoyable content to learn from; not to mention gives great importance on doing practice questions together and is also available when further support is when needed. Also, is very helpful when it comes down on how I should do my lab reports and the content needed to suit the criteria.
