I purchased a shower pump in October 2025 from Screwfix/Plumbfix to replace a very reliable Salamander positive head shower pump that had operated without issue for approximately nine years, although it had recently become slightly noisy.
The Stuart Turner pump was installed as an almost like-for-like replacement, requiring only minor pipework adjustments. The pump serves just one of the three showers in the property and has therefore only operated for an average of 5–10 minutes per day.
After only six months of light use, the pump developed a fault and stopped operating altogether.
Plumbfix advised that they have a service arrangement with Stuart Turner. Unfortunately, my experience with Stuart Turner’s customer support has been disappointing. During my calls, I felt I was being spoken to dismissively, despite clearly explaining that the previous pump had functioned reliably for nine years under the same conditions.
Without any investigation or evidence, the immediate assumption was that the issue was caused by low water pressure, despite my system delivering 1.5 litres per minute, which exceeds the 1 litre per minute minimum stated within their own installation requirements. Other possible causes suggested included the installation and pipework, again without any inspection having taken place.
I was also advised that an email would be sent explaining how to carry out a “magnet test”. However, despite carefully spelling out my email details phonetically, the email was never received.
In addition, the overall level of customer service has been poor, particularly due to limited opening hours and excessive telephone wait times. On my second attempt to contact them, I joined the queue in 6th position. After waiting 45 minutes, I had only progressed to 4th in the queue and was ultimately forced to end the call due to other commitments.
Fortunately, after speaking with Screwfix/Plumbfix, for a third time, they acknowledged the issue and escalated the matter due to Stuart Turner’s apparent failure to provide the level of support expected under their service agreement. As a result, Screwfix/Plumbfix have offered a replacement unit directly.

The customer service through Matt, was very informative. My enquiry was for a replacement pump, for a hot water feed upstairs from an open system. 2 pumps were recommended, with the pros and cons of both.
I went with the ST's number one recommendation.
When it arrived it looked and felt like a quality product, and the flexible connections were also of superior quality.
It is performing well and is a lot quieter than the previous make of pump that was fitted
The follow up from Matt was greatly appreciated, and it was good to talk to somebody that understands their product and application.
I would definitly recommend ST as a company and their products

Had a fantastic day at the Stuart Turner training with Adam. It was a really enjoyable course and Adam has fantastic knowledge of the products. He was great at answering all the questions we had and explained everything clearly.

This is a classic ‘I wish I’d read the reviews before purchasing’ post. I bought a Stuart Turner shower pump as a direct replacement for an identical pump which had become noisy after about seven years. The new pump failed after two days. I contacted the company to discuss the matter and spoke to a very abrupt agent who from the word go was dismissive and unhelpful. I’ve tried to pursue the matter with them via email on several occasions but they have not responded which is not how I would expect a professional company to operate. It’s clear that they have no intention of honouring the warranty and the subsequent ghosting is a classic indicator of a company that should be avoided.
I share my experience with the Stuart Turner Monsoon Universal Twin Impeller 2.0 Bar Shower Pump (46480) that I recently purchased.
After being advised that this pump would be ideal for my plumbing needs, I decided to pair it with my new Mira power shower.
Upon installation, my plumber provided a demonstration of both the setup and operation. I was genuinely impressed by the pump's performance.
Its quiet operation was remarkable—so much so that it hardly made a sound, which my plumber also noted during the demo.
While I acknowledge that the initial cost may be on the higher side compared to other options on the market, I firmly believe that it is worth every penny.
The efficiency and tranquility of the pump significantly enhance my shower experience.
Thank you Stewart Turner for providing such a quality product. I look forward to sharing this positive feedback and recommending it to others who might
be considering similar upgrades to their shower systems. Not to mention the costomer service was
second to none when it came to regestering my 5year

We recently took part in a well structured and very informative training course conducted by Adam Turner and his colleague.
It was an excellent oppertunity to update our existing knowledge and gain new lots of new information on the new Stuart Turner range.

Attended a training day presented by Adam Turner and Richard Hayes on 29th April. The venue and quality of the presentation was fantastic and it was great to learn more about the extensive range of pumps and systems. Stuart Turner Pumps have been my only go-to pumps for quite some time now and I very much look forward to being listed on their Approved Installer list.

our water pump broke after 11 months unfortunately, but the service was outstanding! i called straight at 9 am on the day and my call was answered within 2 minutes. i was fortunate to get fantastic and helpful advisor (Helen Tomsett, regards!), we had a talk over phone and then exchanged couple of emails- less than 6 hrs after, our new pump was on the way. can’t recommend it enough, absolutely stress- free for me! wish all customer services we have to deal with would be as good as this one :)

I spoke to Jason Acock about my shower pump because we were having to wait for the water to come through the rose. I was asked to send photographs of the installation of the pump as directed by him. I received, what was a shocking report based on fact, which included the measurements of what all of the pipes should be for optimum purpose and detailed documentation. Due to this information, to avoid the possibility of flooding, I now need to contact the Plumber to install said pump correctly.
