I urge you to think twice before using this plumbing service. While the initial charge for an emergency call-out may seem reasonable at £60, the tactics they employ to extract more money from you are downright unscrupulous. Their hourly rate exceeds £300 (excluding VAT), and they insist on charging for a full hour of work, even if the job takes only a fraction of that time. It feels like daylight robbery, especially considering how much higher their rates are compared to the average in London.

Read the Fine Print: I regret not checking reviews before calling them—when an emergency strikes, it’s hard to think clearly, and they exploit that vulnerability.

Deceptive Communication: Once the engineer arrives, you'll receive an email detailing the rates and terms. Don’t be misled; the quoted price does not include VAT, and you’re still billed for a full hour just to diagnose the issue.

Invoice Shock: After the work is done, you’ll receive an invoice that may not even be accurate (I found discrepancies in mine). The engineer will not leave until you pay, leaving you with a bill that could range from £500 to £1,000—making you feel utterly swindled.

Final Caution: Avoid the temptation to just Google "emergency plumber" and choose the first option. If I had taken a moment to think and gather information, I could have saved myself a significant amount of money.

Take my advice: steer clear of this service. You’ll thank yourself later.

The worst company ever.
Charged me £850 for 1.5hrs worth of work on a boiler leak that required several washers to fix.
I had additional issue with temperature in bathroom and before seeing to it or running anymore tests, left.
I complained and asked they come back to fix the issue and after agreeing to it, essentially ghosted me for weeks claiming their plumber was on holiday.

Honestly the worst people and the worst company. This is not how you do business and the company is destined for failure if you continue to scam people over the going rate for plumbing work.

Hideously expensive and less than sufficient service.

We got done! Had a blocked sink / leaking pipe, knew we couldn't do it ourselves but that it would be a cheap, fast and simple job. Plumber arrived an hour and half late, after being told he would be arriving in 45 minutes. He was mostly on the phone to his mother, which was unprofessional and he tried to take a call outside the house which would've continued on our clock had I not come outside.

The intimidation technique ie. waiting in your house until you've paid the invoice and shown them confirmation of payment isn't great at all. An invoice should always have a notice to be paid, it is never immediate. Had I not had to pay there and then I would have questioned the use of:

1. 'materials' (£27.50, there were no materials used that didn't include standard plumbing equipment)
2. The extortionate rate of £269 an hour
3. The even more hideous 'admin fee' being more than the above numbers COMBINED. not including the call out fee of £60

There were also a few stains left on our metal sink due to the strong chemicals he used to flush out the pipes, AND, the u-bend wasn't tightened enough so even after he left we still had a leaking sink.

Overall we were charged nearly £500 for a job that should've been £100-£200. It was quite the shock and we weren't in a financial situation to afford this as I'm sure most people aren't.

Rubbish company. Absolutely Scam. Stay away from them. I don't even understand how come on earth Scammers like these even manage to get a licence to run business. Day light robbers.

Me and my partner had just moved in our house together and the boiler was not working so we rang the company and sent out someone straight away. The whole company is a total scam. The guy had come out and told us to agree to all the T&C’s before he started any work, and told us it was a switch on the boiler which had corroded and he convinced us that would solve the problem that was happening with the boiler. Then, he told us he would have to come back a different to do it so if we paid him the call out fee and a hours work which was near £400 he would come out and solve the issue. He came back out a few days later replaced the switch and then told us it didn’t work and that there was nothing he could do and for us to ring someone else to fix it and practically ran out of the door to get away with robbing us of £400. The way they took advantage of me and my partner was disgusting. We rang up after the incident hoping to get a refund and just complain about how the man treated us and we got nothing from them, we emailed and rang up many times and heard nothing back from them. Me and partner were so stressed and taken advantage of for being new home owners and it was disgusting how they treated us over the phone.

I had an outside tap installed. Very pleased with the work. Friendly and professional service. Would recommend

My nephew was hanging a picture and accidentally drilled into a pipe, causing a huge mess. Called this company and they dispatched the plumber Henry and he came to my rescue. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and was able to fix the pipe and clean up the mess in no time. I am very grateful for his prompt and efficient service, and would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a reliable plumber

This Company is a complete scam! They send plumbers who are sub-contracted and will take advantage of the emergency situation and a stressed customer, in our case it was a broken boiler. They make you respond to their email contract essentially agreeing to their T&Cs before they even diagnose the issue so you have no way out of it!
They replaced some parts to the boiler but would refuse to specify what part was changed etc neither did they mention on the invoice or give us any further information. Despite of even having contacted the Company several times, they would never give us the details.Please stay miles away from them.

I found this company online as i needed an urgent repair and was stressed. They made me sign a contract which they sent by email before the plumber could start any work, taking advantage of my stress. But after simply replacing a small part of a pipe (taking 40 minutes in total), they charged £364, which is not justifiable. I asked for an invoice to break down the costs but they refused to provide this. I have called them multiple times but have still not received it. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Real scammers. They say that a call out charge and the engineer will look and quote. But when engineer arrives, they say he will not look and make a quote unless you agree the payment for time charge of £259.

Misleading..they need to be reported to better business bureau and business shut, never allowed to operate here.

Like many other reviewers I was told callout charge a £79 and a £295 per hour. I thought never mind, this is an emergency.
The engineer stayed less than an hour and I had to pay over £500. This is not right.
PLEASE FIND AN ALTERNATE SOLUTION. THESE PEOPLE ARE A RIP OFF.

Awful plumbing company - stay far away from them. They are exploitative in high stress situations and I ended up paying over £1,000 for a simple leak to be fixed. The male plumber then refused to leave my property (I am a young woman) until I paid in full. They are now unwilling to settle the dispute in a reasonable way.

Do not use. They tell you a call out fee on the phone (£79) and then when the plumber arrives they make you sign a contract for £299 for an hour's work. If you don't sign it they'll still charge you for the call out fee. The wording made it seem like it would be half the hourly rate for 30 mins and would be proportionate to the work carried out/or that it would be hourly rate for the repair, not the diagnosis. It's not.
Essentially the engineer told us our boiler was broken (obviously we knew that).. and we now have a £453 invoice which they demand payment for before the plumber can leave. Tried to challenge it with no luck and had no choice but to pay. Now trying to work out how we can take this further as it is unreasonable and not proportionate to the services provided.

We were cheated by this company. STAY AWAY. The engineer came to our flat to fix our leak to the water softener connection. They charged 200£ to change a washer. The engineer didn't do a good job and all he did was to switch off the connection to the water softener. 15 days later we switched it back and the leak was not fixed. They totally cheated us.

DO NOT USE. I am shocked by what a total rip off this service is. To be fair to the plumber he was a nice man and knowledgable but to get a very basic pressure issue and valance change on my boiler for just over an hours work cost just under £1000. Their hidden prices are in the fine print before you sign. Daylight robbery!

Scammers, avoid at all cost. Scheduled an engineer for a leak with the boiler which I showed him on arrival. He spent a total of 20mins looking at it then told me there was a leak… (I know, that’s why you’re here!). Charged me £280 including an emergency call out fee even though it was a scheduled appointment. The boiler was in the same state when the engineer left and I have had no information telling me what needs to be done to fix it. Tried emailing them but have had no response. Waste of time and money!

Many of the other views echo our experience also. Avoid the rip off!

Our heating and hot water stopped running on a Sunday. We had managed to used the boilers I build tests to diagnose the issue was the pumps. My partner called I the hope they would be able to replace the pump, which was fairly readily available.

Took hours for someone to arrive, despite being promised someone would be there within 2 hours. He confirmed our diagnosis, but said he couldn’t replace the pump until he had a quote for parts. He promised that would be done the next day. £500 for the privilege of confirming what we already knew.

So we were left overnight without hearing. The next day we heard nothing…. Until we chased up multiple times. The first quote was wrong (we knew the approx pump cost), so questioned it and were sent another. We were then also told the parts would be 3-4 days. Plus the quote for repair was basically the same as the Sunday call out again, plus £400 of parts.

Some quick googling told us the pump was available from at least 3 reputable retailers overnight, and I then found one in stock in City Plumbing St Albans which I ordered and picked up that afternoon.

With the help of some YouTube, we fitted the replacement pump (4 screws) and had our regular plumber do a full service and check (at a small fraction of the cost of these rip off merchants)

Avoid - especially if it’s the weekend, they likely won’t be able to help you anyway!

I called for an emergency electrician as my fuse box had a trip and I was alone for the weekend and worried what it was. £1000 later which has to be paid before he went I was still no wiser.
They did not at anytime tell me what the charges were. £123 admin plus £697 to not find a problem and VAT He did not resolve the problem and did a lot of unnecessary checking to switches etc I had online: months before had fitted professionally. He scared me telling me my 10 year old house was unsafe. He stayed for 2 hours - found no fault and when I questioned the invoice he got really aggressive. I have reported them to Trading Standards and directly. The problem is resolved now by a proper professional - oven thermostat !!!!

Informed them of the problem. A lady from a offshore call centre informed me they'd be 45 mins. 2.5 hours later they arrived. He looked under my sink and told me it would probably just be a quick swap like a dodgy washer. He wouldn't replace it without me agreeing to the quote. I got an email quoting £235 for this...plus the £90 call out charge as it was a Sunday.
I think this people are in the business of abusing people in emergencies more than actual plumbing. I paid the call out and asked him to leave. Sleazy business model, avoid these chancers.
