DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I have a WORCESTER BOILER. For the first time in 10 years had troubles with the heating and hot water. called SWIFT PLUMBERS AND BOOKED THE ENGINEER. I WAS TOLD CALL-OUT FEE IS £69 AND ENGINEER WILL BE WITH ME WITHIN 30MINS TO ONE HOUR.
AFTER 3 HOURS HE ARRIVED AND ASKED FOR MY EMAIL SO, THE OFFICE CAN GET IN TOUCH BEFORE HE START WORKING.

I received these details and asked me to confirm the email. I cant believe they didnt mention these details before the engineer arrived.

Emergency Call-out Fee: £69

Scope of Work: The engineer will investigate the plumbing, boiler, or drainage issue and attempt a repair

Hourly Rate ( per hour or part of an hour ): £255

Administration Fee: 0.15 of the bill (Decimal)

Engineer didnt know even how to set Thermostat which is on the wall. He said he has not seen one like. He was not able to get me the heating and hot water. After one hour i received a email asking to pay even the job is not completed.

Invoice Total is £458.78.

i got in touch with the customer service and refused to pay the full amount as job was not completed.
Then they send me a reduced rate after refusing to pay.

Total £235.80.

I still have no heating or hot water and asked the engineer who installed the boiler to get in touch first thing Monday morning. I will soon find out what damage Swift Engineer has done as the boiler and the hot water has stopped working.

I now wish i read the reviews before booking with SWIFT Plumbing. I was mugged and lost money.

Avoid this company. Engineer very good but the company charges way over the top. Check prices before using as they only tell you what the call out charge is. You end up paying over £400 per hour and they add on admin fees VAT so could end up costing over a thousand per hour!

Daylight robbery £440 for twenty minutes work, where they used no materials of their own.
Avoid at all costs.

I understand it's an emergency service and the price is higher, but the guy took his sweet time (went to the van a couple of times 'searching for tools', used the bathroom and was overall quite slow) so in the end I had to pay for 2 hour job.

Also the call-out fee was suddenly higher than the one agreed on, so I had to chase customer services.

This company should be illegal.
Charged £810.06 for unblocking a toilet. They charge £69 emergency call out, £259 per hour and and 15% admin fee plus VAT. We used this company for a vulnerable individual in an emergency. The plumber apparently arrived at 1.55pm (we were not on site) and the agreement was conveniently not sent through to me until 2.21pm in order for the plumber to start the actual work. The contract was signed at 2.25pm and the plumber started work at approx 2.30pm. The invoice was sent at 3.02pm. The company charged me for the waiting time of them sending through an agreement before their plumber could start work and charged me 2hrs. If you go 1 min. over the hour. they will charge you another full hour. The managers explanation of having the option to charge per half a hour at the same rate as an hour at their discretion was also absolutely ludicrous. Additionally, whilst on site the client asked for help to crack open a locked combination medication safe. The plumber happily went about opening it despite it being outside the scope of his work. Worrying that he could do this! In the end, I was forced to pay this bill as the plumber would not leave the property of our client until the payment had been made. This company has zero integrity and you should avoid like the plague!!!!

Save your money and book a plumber directly. Swift plumber will find a plumber for you, contracting out another plumbing company and charge you a lot more than if you contacted them directly.

Expect minimum prices of £400 (at time of writing) for one hour.

I would like to thank the Plumber Dan for helping me with the hot water cylinder problem on Saturday. I was a bit worried that i would be left with no hot water for the weekend but he fixed it for us and it was a permanent solution. I really appreciate his help and would defintely recommend him to anyone in critical situations

Thanks to ionut the electrician from swift, that came out on a friday night at 10 pm and got my power back running again!
Would definetly use the service again!

I recently had the pleasure of using Swift Electricians to resolve an issue with a breaker that wouldn't stay on, resulting in a loss of power to my flat. Within less than an hour of contacting them, an engineer arrived and immediately began working on the problem. The issue was resolved in just a few minutes, and I was fully restored with power.

The customer service I received was exemplary, with the office staff remaining professional, polite, and reassuring throughout the process. Despite my initial panic, they reassured me that the engineer would quickly resolve the issue, which was indeed the case.

I would confidently give Swift Electricians a 10-star rating if possible and highly recommend their services to anyone in need of reliable and efficient electrical work.

Ionut was able to figure out the problem with my electrical circuit and I was indeed marvelled as it was not pointed before by any other electrician. He was patient and thorough throughout the process. I highly recommend.

One of the worst !! Attended immediately but charged me for 2 hrs for a 10 min job and alsmoy cost of a new boiler for a 10 min pc board replacement !! Would never call them and going legal !! Wish there was ombudsman to handle these kind of firms

£300 just to connect a pipe that took 5 minutes.. what a joke

£1239 for clearing a toilet drain. Highly inappropriate charges.

Blocked toilet drain requiring a next-day callout. We didn't receive the terms and conditions until the plumber arrived at our facility, pressuring our staff member into confirming, and we were told he couldn't start work until we had accepted.

It turns out the call out fee is £69 but on top of this they charge a minimum of one hour's labour (£267), took much longer than the 45-69 minutes they advertise on the website, and then added 'admin fees' (15%!). What these admin fees are for is very unclear. All exclusive of VAT, of course.

Clearing a toilet drain at a kids sports venue cost just over £1200 for less than 3 hours' work.

The plumber himself was cordial and professional, however the systems put in place by the company are designed to pressure you into an emergency situation.

The company charges well over 3 times the London average, and we would highly recommend avoiding them.

As a pensioner, I called them to fix my bathroom tap. They charge a £60 non-emergency call out fee, but here is the catch - if you want the job done, it's over £200 per hour! Worse, the engineer didn't tell me how long the job would take or if it could be fixed. Luckily, my son was there to step in, or I could have ended up paying over £500 for a simple tap replacement. I still had to pay the £60, but it felt like a near-miss with a company more interested in getting to my cash than service. Do yourself a favour - find a trusted local plumber who's transparent and won't rip you off !

We were told the call out fee would be £69 which we were happy with as it was an emergency. We didn't receive the terms and conditions until the gas engineer arrived at our home, giving us no time to read them fully, and we were told he couldn't start work until we had accepted.

It turns out the call out fee is £69 but on top of this they charge a minimum of one hours labour (£195) on top of this as a minimum, plus admin fees (£47). A 20 minute visit cost us just under £400 and they didn't even fix the problem - the gas engineer isolated our boiler and said parts were needed to fix it properly. The gas engineer told us he wasn't allowed to leave our home until we had paid - again pressuring tactics that don't allow you to query anything.

The gas engineer was perfectly nice, however the systems put in place by his employers are not and seem to be designed to bully and pressure you in an emergency situation.

A horrible company, would not recommend.

Once the engineer arrived he was very quick and efficient and sorted the boiler out for us in 15 mins
However the price was huge, the call out time was over 3 hours not the 45-69 mins on the website. The lady and gentlemen I spoke to more than once told me things that were not true, and then having promised a non call out fee, they then sent me an invoice with it on. Not very professional and I wouldn't use them again.

Trustworthy, first-class service - we were so impressed! Possibly the best experience we’ve ever had with an electrician. Ionut went above and beyond. He was thorough, arrived early, worked efficiently and did a brilliant job! Would recommend in a heartbeat.

£500 for 20-30 minutes’ work to fix a leaking pipe. I was charged the hourly rate and then told that minimum payment was for an hour. AVOID.
