Awful and overpriced service.

I contacted Swift Plumbers as I had a gas leak in my property where the boiler had been capped. There was no hot water or heating and my insurance company could only give me an appointment for 4 days later.

I made arrangements for them to come, not knowing that they rip customers off. I was quoted £69 for a call out but as I was desperate, I gave the green light.

Upon attending to my property, I was quoted £150 for parts only - being told that it was a special product which is definitely a lie (my insurance company charged £150 for both parts and workmanship) but even worse, I was quoted £350 per hour for workmanship!? When I asked how long this would take, they couldn’t give me a rough time. Who charges £350 an hour for a repair with no accurate figure of what to pay? Just be twiddling their fingers and all of a sudden, you have a bill of 1k+!

I even asked before committing to the £69 of what a rough price would be, as surely they’d have encountered this issue before to which they said, they can’t give a rough guide. Definitely a ploy to rip people off.

Even worse, I recieved an invoice and it was £82 not £69. Why not say the full amount at the time? Avoid them, awful company looking to rip customers off. Get insurance instead. They fixed my property with no issues at all. Desperate times should not call for desperate measures. Crooks.

Avoid Swift Plumbers – Daylight Robbery!

I’ve never felt more scammed in my life. I called Swift Plumbers to install and replace a simple kitchen tap—a straightforward job. On the phone, the lady clearly told me it would be £50 for the call-out plus labour costs. When the plumber arrived, he said the labour would be £69, and I specifically asked if that covered everything. He confirmed, so I thought, “Great, let’s get it done.”

The job took 45 minutes—nothing complicated. But then came the shocker: an invoice for £494.04. Yes, you read that right—nearly £500 for under an hour of work to install a tap. Absolutely outrageous.

This is blatant price gouging with hidden fees they never mentioned upfront. It’s unethical, deceptive, and feels like a total con. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate.

If you’re considering using Swift Plumbers—DON’T. Save yourself the hassle, stress, and money. Find a company that’s honest about their pricing.

Our electrician was amazing very efficient tried hard to ensure work was completed in a timely manner, the company fees us a little high though

Henry was great. Fixed the issue in no time.

Would go for -1 if I could. 45 minuite turn around my a££. Called 8.30pm. Midnight still no trade. "His job has over run he'll call you when on the way should be soon"... in the time i was waiting dealt with 3 different call handlers. All read the same script.

The electrician was nice and explained everything, so I can't fault him, but the fees are exorbitant. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere if you need anything urgent because £269/hr is ridiculous.

Henry did an excellent job. He was very efficient, diagnosed the problem in seconds and fixed it within the hour.

Horrendous customer service - put phone down on you, don’t return calls, rude and ignorant
Plumber is inexperienced, has no clue what he is doing. The pipes started to leak 1 hour of work completion- came back the following day to ‘fix it’ - created even bigger problem - started to leak in 3 places 1 hour later. In the end had to get professional and experienced plumber from another company to fix this cowboys unsatisfactory work

Charged £200 for them to do nothing and still have a broken boiler - AVOID!!!

Called them out as boiler suddenly not working. Quick response on phone and then called to let me know when they were arriving (within 2hrs). Then the plumber called to say that they had heard there were gas works going on nearby. They basically saved me a call out fee and my heating came on shortly after! Very kind of them to call me and save me that money. I would definitely trust these guys again

AVOID Don't use these people ! call out charge and other high fees very disappointed they require email contract before they look once there at your house so then they have you once I agreed for the hour £199 plus all the other addon fees they diagnosed wrong fault with no offer to get parts of fix cost me almost £500 for nothing !

Complete rip off, tried charging an additional £100 for parts and they said they charge more as they spent time getting them despite being within hourly rate which was also excessive!

Do not use this company! I was charged over 2K for a 5 hour job that didn't ultimately unblock my overflowing drain. The engineers who visited seemed nice enough but were at pains to point out they were from a different company - Puriflo. They said they had nothing to do with Swift Plumbers and didn't vouch for them. I was also charged a 200 quid admin fee. Waste of time and money and awful to deal with such poor service and standards. Check out other bad reviews that are all consistent. Don't trust the good reviews.

If i could give 0 starts I would. Scam Scam Scam!!!!. A 15 minute job took 3 hours, charged over £1000. would not take the card I was told they would take for payment, plumber would not leave until I have it sorted. I cannot say how awful my experience was.
hopefully I can find another job to put food on the table this month. Thanks for nothing.

Avoid this company at all costs, they love money too much. On the phone the call out is 69 pounds and when the plumber gets to your place, 1 hour job costs 299£. The worse is problem not solved still have to pay 299£

Scammers!! Avoid that company, they taking 340£ per 30min job which doesn't help after two hour problem appear again and after calling them they lied that gonna send someone, nobody came leaving us without heating, they just came to take money and rip you off!!

Do not use this company. In my boiler I had an error coming up . No hot water or heating also. I wanted the plumber to cancelled it. I called sift plumbers and after 1 hour work he burnt the mother board in my boiler. We were made to pay £441 for braking our boiler and no further help was offered.
