We are sorry to hear you remain unhappy with your experience, however we must respond to several inaccurate statements in this review.

Your vehicle originally came to us with a seized engine requiring major repair work. We completed the engine replacement work authorised by you, and the vehicle was returned running correctly.

You later contacted us regarding an engine management light. We immediately arranged for the vehicle to return so we could inspect this at no charge. Upon diagnostic checks, the fault codes present related to an ECU/electrical issue, which was not connected to the engine work we had completed. We explained this to you at the time and advised that, should the warning light return, the next appropriate step would be assessment by a qualified auto electrician.

You later informed us that two separate auto electricians had also inspected the vehicle and were unable to resolve the ECU-related fault. This further supports that the issue was an unrelated electrical fault, not a result of the engine repair.

We must also note that if battery cables or wiring had genuinely been left disconnected as claimed, this would have been immediately apparent during the multiple inspections carried out by ourselves and third parties. No such findings were presented to us at the time.

While we appreciate that additional faults can be frustrating, separate issues can arise independently of major engine repairs. Importantly, your review makes no complaint regarding the engine work itself, which we trust indicates that aspect of the repair was completed successfully and the vehicle has been operating correctly in that regard.

We are always willing to inspect genuine concerns and assist where faults relate to our workmanship, but we cannot accept responsibility for unrelated pre-existing or subsequent electrical issues.

We’re sorry to hear that you remain dissatisfied with your experience.

For transparency, the vehicle first underwent the warranty claim process, during which we spent over a week chasing your warranty company for authorisation before repairs could proceed. This formed part of the initial timescale before any repair work was able to begin.

Once authorised, the vehicle then underwent the repair work and testing and was scheduled for return. However, shortly before delivery, the replacement actuator unit unfortunately dropped its programming, meaning the gearbox system would not operate correctly. Further checks then confirmed there was a fault with the newly supplied replacement part itself.

As a result, the vehicle could not be safely returned in that condition. After reprogramming and experiencing the issues repeat a further replacement actuator was ordered immediately, and we kept you updated throughout regarding the issue, the revised timescales, and the steps being taken to resolve matters.

We fully appreciate that delays are frustrating and inconvenient. However, we will always prioritise ensuring a vehicle is returned in a safe, properly functioning and roadworthy condition rather than releasing it prematurely with a known fault.

It is also worth noting that your review does not mention any ongoing gearbox-related issues since the vehicle was returned, which we therefore take to mean that the repair itself has been successful and the vehicle is now operating correctly.
