As you would expect from the Tetrad brand, I received the Arbroath green midi velvet sofa and the quality is outstanding. Hardwood frame, premium velvet and trims, it’s so luxurious. Could I possibly own the poshest sofa in County Durham? Thanks Tetrad.

We bought 2 matching Jacaranda 2 seaters in the fabulous hand printed Bagru fabric. They look amazing and act both as statement pieces but also comfy loungers. Really pleased. Thank you

We had our first Tedtrad sofa for 12 years, it was well made & so comfy. This one, the Gleneagles Grand is the most uncomfortable sofa we have ever had. I would never buy this fabric again either, it piles terribly.

Ordered fabric samples from Tetrad. Already have a Tetrad sofa but I am considering getting another as really pleased with it. They came very promptly, so pleased with the fast delivery.

Looking through other reviews, this is another negative review for the Harris Tweed sofas. We bought our Tetrad Lewis Bracken Herringbone 2 seater from John Lewis 6 or 7 years ago. In the past year, the fabric as become saggy and has started to wear thin on the main seat cushion. In recent months, a hole has developed and is worsening. After seeking advice from an upholsterer regarding repair, we have been advised the only repair is to reupholster the whole seat cushion at a considerable cost. The sofa was double the price of other sofas and our previous sofa and has lasted the same length of time - shocking for such an expensive sofa and for what should be durable fabric. Clearly, from all the reviews on various platforms regarding the wear in the Harris Tweed fabric, it isn't fit for the purpose of sofas. I have emailed Tetrad directly but if anyone is thinking of purchasing one of these sofas - don't waste your money!

Buying something as important and (with luck) long-lasting as a new sofa can be a bit daunting. The choice seemed endless and it was hard to know where to begin.
And I had an immediate obstacle to negotiate: size! (Yes, where a sofa is concerned, size really does matter. Very much. Where I live it isn't unknown for householders to be in tears because their wonderful new sofa simply won't go through the front door, or window, or wherever ... an expensive mistake when it goes wrong.)
Fortunately, my local furniture store (the magnificent Webb's of Crickhowell) nurse-maided me through the whole process, and I chose the Bowmore Compact 2-Seater sofa, upholstered in 'Sahara Military' ...
The finished item came through from Tetrad very quickly and efficiently, and it's one of the most satisfying pieces of furniture that I have ever bought. It is, quite simply, a beautiful piece of work - beautifully crafted and beautifully finished.
It is compact (and trust me when you haven't much space, that's vital!) it's comfy - and it sets off the room to perfection.
Full marks to Tetrad for this stunning piece of work. (Full marks also to Webb's of Crickhowell for being one of those special firms that know how their customers work!)

Delivered was very prompt.

We love the Tetrad sofas we have seen in store and the information on the making of them. Samples of fabric were received within a week. It would be helpful to have more information about the fabrics on the website and options to see the sofas in different fabric options and real life rooms. The store said there is a 'build a sofa' option on the website to play with different sofa/fabric options, but I can't find it.

Yet another complaint for their Harris Tweed sofas. Ours are already falling apart after 2 years of use. The covers are far too thin and the cushions sag.

UPDATE: Yes clearly nothing to see here. Have you not read all the complaints below..... They are pretty much all about your Harris Tweed sofa's/chairs. They might meet the standards of a 20k rub test (whatever the heck that is??). They are still absolute tat!

I ordered fabric samples from Tetrad, which was easy to do and they were delivered in good time. Very helpful.

We purchased a Tetrad rectangular footstool made of velvet hoping for a stylish and functional addition to our living space. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing due to the extremely poor quality of the velvet material.

While the footstool arrived damaged despite the retailer's careful packaging the real issue lies with the material itself. The velvet is of such low quality and durability that it sustained visible damage after less than one evening of use. A noticeable mark was left on the surface after my foot rested on it for about an hour raising serious doubts about its usability. For comparison, we own a sofa from a similar provider with velvet pillows which have shown no signs of wear after a year of regular use.

The transportation company’s handling have contributed to the initial damage but the core problem is the substandard velvet which seems unfit for practical use especially for a product marketed at a premium price. This footstool might only serve as a decorative piece as it cannot withstand even minimal interaction without showing wear.

Given the high-end cost the poor quality is unacceptable. I would not recommend purchasing a Tetrad footstool unless you intend to use it solely for aesthetic purposes. The quality is very poor and falls far short of expectations for a functional luxury piece of furniture.

UPD: Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter. I have spoken with the retailer but I see no further benefit in continuing the discussion. The issue lies with the "tested velvet" material which showed marks after less than two hours of use indicating poor quality. While the retailer suggested escalating the issue with the delivery company my concern is not related to delivery damage but rather the material's inability to withstand minimal use.
UPD1: I’ve updated my star rating because the Tetrad team is incredibly customer-focused. They resolved my issue promptly, and it’s clear they’re a highly respected company that genuinely cares about their products. Though fabric on the stool is still bad and you may want/need to look into replacing this. Thank you again!

I’ve had Tetrad for years, amazing quality, amazing customer service. You have to wait 2 months for a reason! They’re in demand
