Sandals were not as advertised. They are of poor quality and materials. They initially seemed well priced for what was advertised. However, the reality is that they are very cheap-looking.
I should have read the reviews before ordering. I would try to return them and get a refund, however, that just seems a waste of time and energy, from reviews I have since read. So, you've been pre-warned, it's like throwing $50 into the garbage.

I purchased a sandal advertised for arch support. When it arrived, was shocked that the footbed was totally flat…no support at all. I contacted them for a refund. The cash refund they wanted to give me was $5.00! Then they said they would give me a partial store credit. I was not about to buy anything else from them because they outright lie. When I pushed for their “hassle free” refund, it was so prohibitive and unrealistic I didn’t even bother. Trying them on was considered having worn them!! Terrible company. Don’t buy anything. Go to a reputable company.

The shoes are uncomfortable; hard, stiff material. When I tried to return because they hurt my feet, they told me they could give me a low percentage of what I paid back to me. When I said that’s unacceptable, they made it so difficult to return that I gave up.

Shoes were not at all as advertised - no support and poorly made. No response to several requests to return them despite their refund policy stating that you can return with 60 days.

Scam Scam Scam. Ordered a decent looking pair of shoes. Never received,oh yes thet took my money. Have been in contact with them via e mail. alway a different probablem,but o yes they are coming NOT I told them to refund my money Not done. Maybe a call to the BBB . i hate being taken advantage of any amount of money. So they have my monet I have nothing.

I ordered a pair of sandals. I ordered white but I received a cream /off white pair. I ordered wide width and received a medium width. When I asked for a refund I was offered a store credit of 10%, then 20% and finally 50%. This pair of sandals are total junk. I wasn't interested in more of their junk so I insisted on a refund. I was then offered a 10% cash refund and I would keep their junk or I could return to China at my expense ( $32.50) plus processing fees (?). This company should not be allowed to do business in the US or anywhere for that matter. They got me for $48 for now.

I ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter, they didn’t fit. I requested a return label from Giovanni Atienza at Orthofit shoes they offered a credit. I emailed back I don’t want a credit, I want a refund. No one is responding now.

I bought a pair of so-called "hands free" athletic shoes, a type with a knit upper. Though correct foot size, the opening had no stretch, so were impossible to slip onto foot over heel. I managed one time after putting on knee high nylons. Then walked around to find out they had zero arch support & the padding is no better then any memory foam shoe at Walmart. These had a "knit upper" and seemed made for no socks, but I need socks and no way would they fit over socks. I think the diagram of shoe design on-site is piffle. This purple black shoe I bought is sold either with or without an ebook offer. The ebook is a gimmick to bait you, since link to it is non-existant. I emailed Orthofit about it, they replied, but they've done nothing about it. It is false advertising. With the ebook offer, that shoe has a 30 day warranty; without the ebook offer, the exact same shoe has a 90 day warranty/100% money back guarantee attached. Considering their official stated refund policy is 30 days & no wearing the shoe, but a screen shot of this policy discrepancy can be useful in negotiating with support or in a bank "back charge" dispute. (I did email Orthofit support a screen shot of that 90 day/money back deal)
So I tried to get my money back--as promised on their website. So, #1, Orthofit is a liar. Their refund policy is designed to prevent giving any refund; it states the shoes cannot have been worn, that you must pay to ship them to China, then they'll inspect to make final decision. Win-win for them. These terms contradict their promises on their product website of wearing then getting money back. Be alert on that.
#2) I also found the exact same shoe listed by other sellers online for lesser $$. So same Chinese shoe maker markets to many online sources. So check around outside Orthofit for same shoes.
#3) If you DO try to get money back, Support will try to negotiate money back in your account for a future purchase instead of actual refund. I was SUCCESSFUL negotiating 50% added to my account on future purchase. They will low-ball you at first offer, but the support person I emailed with was amendable & polite. But I went in strong, initially demanding 100% money back or I would institute a "Back Charge" thru my bank with the screen shot of their own guarantee attached. (you want to Google how to do a bank "back charge", but DOES require fair effort on your part to negotiate a settlement & copy of email) |
So support made an offer, I replied with a higher offer, they countered with a 50% offer (which was my target amount.) and I accepted. (the sell is this way you don't have to return anything.)
I realize I'll be buying what amounts in quality to a Walmart shoe, but I will pay out of my pocket Walmart price. Since my feet need so much padding, I have to add extra insole pads & heel pads to add to ANY athletic shoe I buy regardless.
So don't despair. Research requesting a "back charge" from a bank or check Pay Pal's purchase conflict resolution protocol. Know your rights. Then be polite with email support & negotiate. Keep to facts. Don't name call. Know they are desperate NOT to give any full refund and you CAN take advantage of that. Best email practice is to copy/paste their email reply into your email answer to keep conversation focused & on track.
In general though, I think people should avoid Orthofit store shoes. They are not the quality promised and will be an huge hassle later.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY This business is a scam. There information is false. They are misleading in all thing stated on their website. Yes, you receive shoes but you are receiving shoes most likely from an overseas company that is mass produced by the hundreds and horribly made. There is nothing orthotic about the product. They are barely glued together, arrived in cellophane packaging. Then received and charged for a 2nd pair of different style I did not order. They are not even my size! I’ve tried for 3 weeks sending countless emails to get a refund even a partial one at this point.

They sent the wrong size shoes and I was unable to return them for a full refund without incurring charges for shipping them back to China which would cost more than the shoes. Even though, they sent the wrong size, not the size I ordered. Would only offer credit to buy more stuff? Not even an offer to exchange.

I was on the website because they offered 50% off a second pair. I picked both pairs, went to the checkout and my discount didn't appear. I did not put my credit card info in the order.
I got back on the site through the text that offered the 50% discount and tried again. Still no discount and I never put my credit card info on the order, but someway they got my info and processed both orders.
I immediately contacted the company through email requesting to cancel both orders as they have no other way to contact them. About 5 hours later they responded that they were reviewing my concern.
Days later they responded "unfortunately the orders had already been shipped." I contacted my credit union fraud department and filed a complaint after reading the reviews on Better Business Bureau.
The packages arrived yesterday, the shoes are so cheap, no padding in them and certainly not made for people with plantar fasciitis that need good support.
I sent another email to the same gentleman that responded prior stating these are not acceptable and I need to return them.
I'm sure I will never hear from them. I am so mad at myself for getting scammed for $200.00!! I should have checked for reviews prior to ordering online with a company I knew nothing about!

What a terrible experience. I have awful plantar fasciitis and was desperate to find a quality shoe that could bring relief. I spent over $70 on a shoe that took 3 weeks to arrive, after a bunch of back and forth with their customer service, and the shoes came in a dirty plastic bag, and are a joke. These "tennis shoes" are cheap slippers with rubber soles slapped to the bottom of them. There us no support at all, and I am out $70. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY.

AWFUL DO NOT PURCHASE. Complete scam. Shoes are cheaply made and the ability to return is impossible. They offer 30% of your total to store credit (like that even slightly covers it) and then if you complain a bit more they offer you 50% (still doesn’t cover the money I’m out). Trash company with terrible crappy shoes and no customer service.

Total scam, unworthy of any stars. I'm out $100 for two pairs of shoes that appear to be made out of hard plastic and burlap. Orthofit is a copycat of Orthofeet. Buyer beware, with a tiny bit of research beforehand, I would have seen that this is a rip off, that while they say "returns are easy," they are actually impossible.

Well, it's like they say, ''There's no fool like an old fool''. And I am certainly 'old' (78). I found these shoes on the internet and was very impressed with the 'actor' posing as a foot dr. HA!!
I ordered these cheap crappy shoes from what I found out was China!! What a joke. They are so poorly made they probably could make my feet problems worse! I have tried and tried to send them back but it's almost impossible. DON'T, I REPEAT DON'T WASTE YOUR $$ BY ORDERING THESE FAKE CRAPPY SHOES. I hope I can help even one person save their hard earned $$.

I have to agree with everyone on these reviews. This is a scam company. Even when you want to return your items, they make it seem they are doing you a favor of by giving you a discount and will not acknowledge that you don't want a store credit but your money back. I have sent 4 emails requesting my money back. I have come to the conclusion they will never return your money. LESSON LEARNED. I do believe this. Companies that take advantage of people will only reap what they sow later.

Customer service is a disgrace and will give a full refund on sneakers I did not like.

Stay as far away from this outfit as possible. Poor quality and VERY untrustworthy web site.

Echoing what everyone else is saying. This scam outfit capitalizes on the legit orthopedic shoe brand Orthfeet. I had bought shoes from Orthofeet before and thought that was who I was dealing with. Then when my order didnt show up for 2 weeks ( promised 5-10 business days) I looked more closely at the shipping information and saw the boots I had ordered were coming from China and noted the name of the company. The boots arrived 3 days short of a month after I ordered them and they were not at all as advertised. Poorly made, no support, and definitely not rubber, nonslip, soles. They felt like cheap house slippers.

I opened a ticket immediately with customer support and their AI bot offered me a credit on anything else in the store and to keep the shoes. I refused several times and said I wanted a refund. This went on for a while and I finally disputed the charge on my credit card. I got a refund from them, but dont know yet if this scam company will fight it. Somehow I doubt it based on the number of complaints they have with the BBB and online. They know they're selling crap and stealing people's money.

It’s a fake Chinese company that sends you junk. The shoes are even fake. Do not buy anything from this company.
