Firstly you need to understand how this company works, you can opt to pay in full or to spread your payments out, if you choose to spread the payments then a company called Premium Credit Ltd will ask you to sign a credit agreement an initial payment will be taken followed by monthly instalments once you have signed the credit agreement. There is a cooling off period of 30 days. This is a big help for anyone who has not got the money upfront. Communication wise they are very good at responding to any queries. They seem like a company that can be trusted.

Very Disappointing. Think Carefully Before Buying This Insurance.

I paid £199 for three years of alloy wheel insurance with Tidy Alloys, expecting to have some peace of mind if my wheels suffered accidental damage. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.

After sustaining damage to my four alloy wheels on separate occasions, I contacted Tidy Alloys to make a claim. I was completely honest about what had happened, explained the circumstances of the incidents and provided all the information I could remember.

My claim was then rejected because the damage had occurred over a period of time and had not been reported within 30 days of each incident.

I understand that insurance policies have terms and conditions, but the whole experience has left me questioning the value of paying for this cover in the first place. I waited because I wanted to see whether any other wheels became damaged so I could arrange to have them repaired together. Instead, I found myself being told that the damage accumulated over time was not covered.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that I paid for a product specifically designed to protect against alloy wheel damage, yet when I needed to use it, I was left with no assistance for the damage I reported.

The policy wording may contain these restrictions, but I feel the practical implications need to be made absolutely clear to customers before they spend their money. Customers should understand that waiting to deal with multiple damaged wheels together could leave them unable to claim.

I am now pursuing a formal complaint and asking for the decision to be reviewed.

Based on my experience, I would urge anyone considering Tidy Alloys to read every exclusion carefully and pay particular attention to the 30-day reporting rule before purchasing.

For me, this has been a very disappointing experience and has seriously undermined my confidence in the value of the policy. I certainly would not feel comfortable recommending it based on how my claim has been handled so far.

Easy to set up at a reasonable price

Easy online filling in. One of the many things , when it comes to all types of insurance, you just hope you never need it.

Always a great service and I really like it that I can call and someone either answers the phone or I can leave a message and I am called back.
