Tourcycling Avis 

I had ordered a Castelli jacket & the colors on the web site were not the colors on the jacket that arrived.
As instructed I ordered a replacement immediately in black. Several days passed with no shipping email from the vendor, when I followed up they said it was sold out!
I was very displeased with this vendor!

Got the cycling jerseys right in time at the right price.

Customer service informed me one item of my order was backorder and the other was available. Rather than agree to accept an alternative item, I asked to wait to see if TourCycling would receive additional inventory. Since they seem like a smaller operation, I also suggested they could ship the items together to save them shipping, rather than asking them to ship the currently available item separately.

When TourCycling finally informed me they were unable to get more inventory and were closing my order, neither item was available. I understand the reality of not being able to fulfill the order by that point, but there are several ways they could have done better:

1) Better inventory control. My payment was accepted with the assumption there was sufficient inventory to fulfill the order. Had their inventory information been more up to date, I may not have been allowed to place the order and could have shopped elsewhere.

2) Ship the currently available item. Expecting currently available inventory to remain available while awaiting a backordered item is not a reliable assumption. Regardless of my suggestion for a single shipment, customer service could have recognized the likelihood and shipped the available item.

3) Better feedback. Rather than agree to accept a different item, I suggested I was willing to wait for a backorder on the original. If no additional inventory was likely to arrive, customer service could have told me waiting was not an option. In this case, I received no feedback that waiting either was or was not an option. The only update I received before the order was unilaterally canceled was from a request I made - not an update that came from TourCycling unsolicited.

4) Inconvenience consideration. I was informed that my order was canceled and that I would be refunded. Considering I received no part of the order, a refund is only expected. Considering the missed opportunity to purchase a similar item elsewhere, I definitely was inconvenienced by paying TourCycling to try to fulfill an order. Rather than offer a discount on a future purchase or any other means of hoping to keep me as a customer, I was reminded I could have taken the alternate item. End of transaction.

In summary, the site has nice merchandise, but unreliable inventories and a current level of customer service too little concerned with keeping existing customers.

Only cause the shipping to Canada is crazy.

Good selection and price.
Unfortunately when I completed my order I was told the item was out of stock and the the order was canceled. The order showed up on my door the following week. Removing my item from stock most likely caused the confused cancelation. The problem was that I assumed the order was canceled, so I order the same item from another vendor. Now I have two items and only wanted one.
Otherwise this would have been a Five Star review.

Over the past 2.5 years, I have purchased 3-4 times from them. I have been pleased with customer service, shipping speed, prices, and product description. They are my first stop and often my last stop when it comes to cycling clothing.

Tour Cycling is one of my favorite and trusted on-line retailers. Competitive pricing, speedy processing of orders, accurate information about current orders and prompt replies to inquiries are all important to me as a frequent on-line shopper. Tour Cycling gets high marks in all these areas.

My order was painless, quick, and very convenient, especially for being a Canadian resident. Thanks a million, I'll be back!!
