The UK Pub co helped me secure a job here in the UK twice, as my first job I worked at in Central London wasn’t for me. It was very poorly managed, I wasn’t accepted in the workplace and overall treated badly. Yet, Sophie helped me find another job in the UK in a beautiful place and I am thankful for the second chance! I did have to pay £250 for my CV (resume) to be re-uploaded for Sophie to send off to pubs around the UK, but I was willing to pay to secure another job :)

The Uk Pub Co has been absolutely brilliant. They have helped me so much throughout the whole experience and always answered my questions. They also put me onto other companies which could help with things like my visa which made the whole process much smoother. I can not recommend them enough they are so helpful and are committed to making sure you are happy with where you have been places.
I especially wanted to thank Sophie for all her help she is brilliant and has done so much for me especially when I left things to the last minute and everything was chaos

The UKPubCo. have been nothing short of amazing! From day one they were super supportive, and patient with my selectiveness, and cautiousness when it come to selecting a venue for employment. While also offering varying options in regards to airfares and travel insurance. Everything was made extremely easy and hassle free.

I'd happily recommend The UKPubCo. to anyone looking into a working holiday in the UK.

On a side note - I'd like to specifically shout out Sophie - as my travel consultant, Sophie couldn't have been more supportive, or helpful through the entire process.

My experience with Uk Pub Co was beyond exceptional. After going through a few jobs offers they found me the perfect job in the most beautiful place and where so patient with me. Nick was amazing and fast at replying which provided me with much confidence.

UK Pub Co. was perfect. With Great staff and a well organised process I felt a sense of security and reassurance during the whole process. From when I landed I knew where to go, the job I was doing and what accomodation I would be staying in. The commitment did not stop until I had returned home safely.

I can not thank UK Pub Co. enough for the support they gave me throughout the whole process. Their communication from start to end was fantastic. I was able to go overseas knowing that I had a secure job and accommodation making it so much easier to leave home.

I had the time of my life living like a local and immersing myself in the culture. UK Pub Co. gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and I highly recommend their services.

Best year (and a bit) of my life!! I have recently returned from the UK for what was my gap year. Obviously the past twelve months were a little different than I originally expected but once I figured out the new rules for travelling in a pandemic, I was still able to see (nearly) everything I wanted to. Thankyou so much UK Pub Co who helped me arrange work and accommodation when I first arrived but mainly for the support and answering my dumb questions along the way when I needed to know what I could do next and of course getting me home in March.

Felt really supported throughout my move from Aus to the UK! The team were super helpful and I was felt really excited knowing I had a job and accommodation. I’ve met the most amazing people on this journey! Would definitely recommend.

The UK Pub Co has asked me to take down/alter this review. In their responce they have attempted to make it look like I was responsible for being put into a bad situation which they did not amend in the appropriat time frame. They also misconstrue the time frame of events and misquote myself.

Below they quote me, leaving out the second and telling half of the paragraph, 'The Red Bull is a wonderful pub I really enjoy my coworkers and its locations however mismanagement has made it a very unstable place to live and work, making what should be a fun new experience into a rather nerve wracking one.'

This was in my initial email sent to them, on Feb 13th, 3 weeks after I arrived and started working in my placement. Not in March.

Admitadly I could have used less flowery/polite language but after reviewing my emails with them I feel my point was still communicated enough that the placement I received was unstable and made me feel unsafe. They told me to wait to see if it got worse, even though I had already given 3 weeks time to evaluate the situation.

Furthermore when I reached out a second time for help the simply said they would find me another placement. At this point things were apperently unstable and my wages were not being paid. And the only aid they would offer was finding me a new gig. That would have been helpful if I had had the means for taveling but as stated above I did not as payment had become erradic at my job. And I was scared if I gave appropraite notice my job would kick me out frist

I will not change my review until they have a comprehensive policy for customers put into bad situation. This includes:

1) Insurance for youths who are not paid by their pub.
2) A plan for getting youths in unsafe placements out of their work/living environment. (temp. place to stay, travel, posiblity of a rep. checking in etc.
3) A team to give legal advice should their boss breach employment laws.

I used the UK Pub Co in 2018 and it didn't go great.

Pros: I had a place to live and a job as soon as I arrived in the UK. The initial set up was quick and effictent.

Cons: They are kind of pushy in the initial job offer process. They offered me a choice of two pubs (one was in the middle of nowhere) and were grumbly when I asked if there were any other opportunities to choose form.

They didn't vet (or at least not well) the pub I ended up going to. The pub UK Pub Co set me up with was super sketchy. The owner was laundering money, had stopped paying their bills (the location manager eventually had to work out a cash deal with suppliers), staff were getting paid under the table (which isn't something you want to get caught doing as an immigrant), I wasn't getting enough hours or pay, and the owner was planning to sell the company within 3 months of me starting so it was not a stable or long term job.

All the above complaints were apperent within the first week. I waited three weeks to contact the UK Pub Co to request a new placement and they basically told me as long as I was getting paid it was a non issue and to contact them if things got worse. And that if I wanted more hours I should talk to the manager (like that wasn't the first thing I would have done before complaining to them).

Things got considerably worse. The bar was late two weeks in a row paying the staff. The owner fired the GM while th GM was on holiday cleaiming their were discrepancies in the budget, removed all the cash from the apartment I shared with the GM and bar, and placed a new sketchy guy in charge, whom I had to share the apartment with.

When I reached out to the UK Pub Co. they apologiesed for the situation and said that I could have a new placement and just to let them know when I could start. They also said that if my job failed to pay me their wasn't much they could do to help.

This was somewhat disheartening as it was the reation I was expecting when I sent my first email. At this point I would have hoped for at least some advise on how tactfully get away from these people unscathed on top of a new placement.

I decided to find my next job and apartment on my own as I didn't trust the UK Pub Co to find a secure place or to help me if things went under.

On my last night witht he pub the owner locked me out and baracaded the doors and wouldn't let me back in until morning. They also didn't end up paying me my last weeks wages and I had to take them to an employment tribunal. I told the UK Pub Co about both these events and they didn't do anything to help. Not even legal advice on how to challenge an ex employer in order to get paid.

In the end I just felt unsafe, scared, and like the pub co. didn't care about my well being after I had paid them. It was an incredibly stressful experience and I don't think I could recommed the serviece to anyone based on my experience.

That said I have heard that the company has gone through restructuring since 2018 so maybe things are better now.

This is the ONLY working holiday club you should use! The service is personal, professional and super quick. After contacting Nick, I had my flights booked to my dream job in 4 short weeks and flew out 2 weeks after. They've been nothing short of exceptional.

I had an amazing experience through the UK Pub Company being placed in an awesome bar in Central London. The UK Pub Company made my move to London super easy and I feel like I saved a lot of time by being given a job and a place to live before I even arrived in London. Their responses were very quick via email and they made everything simple, quick and easy to complete.

Takes the stress and worry about moving to the UK and looking for pub work. Knowing that everything is all sorted for you, housing and a job, plus all the extra add ons, Visa help, bank account appointment set up, UK sim card. Living in at a pub was so much fun, living and working with the same people, you build a special bond and always have someone to hang out with or chat to. All the staff at the UKpub co were always super friendly and helpful answering all my silly little questions.

Excellence all round.

My Girlfriend and I were a bit worried about making the big move to the UK. Unsure about accommodation and job prospects and what we would do when we got to the UK. We decided to go with the UK Pub Co to help us with the move and have never regretted it. From the initial phone call the service has been amazing. We had a job and accommodation sorted within a week of applying. Put our minds at ease. After being at our little country pub for 8 months we are again using the Pub Co for another job. Cannot reccomend the service enough.
