Useless customer service

I’ve been trying to get my money back for an event that’s been cancelled for over a week now. The event may still go ahead but there’s no date, frankly I’m no longer interested in going and I have other plans so I requested a refund with the event organisers. They got back to me straight away to say I will be refunded in full but then I remembered that the card I paid for the ticket with has been canceled so I ask if they can refund to my new one. I was told instantly they would contact the “Helpdesk” and update me. That was the 4th of December, ever since then there’s been radio silence and it is now the 12th.

I contacted Universe directly as they state in the Refund Terms and conditions page if you don’t hear back from the event organisers within 5 business days to contact them. I was sent a generic email response telling me to contact the event organisers directly to query this specific request. I replied saying I literally just told you they haven’t responded and provided screenshots of the conversation that’s why I’m contacting you in the first place?? and they proceeded to say contact them on their email. They are useless and taking me for a ride so if you want my advice, contact the event organisers so there is a paper trail then just dispute with the bank like I’m doing. Waste of time!

Scamming at it’s best

What company asks a customer for a doctor’s excuse in order to receive a refund for an event that they’re no longer able to attend? I’ve never heard of this in all of my life. Why would I pay extra money for insurance in case I wasn’t able to attend, if it’s not going to be honored? This company needs to be shut down because it is a HUGE SCAM, like all the other reviews say. I’ll pay more attention next time when buying tickets to concerts because this is ridiculous and no one should have to endure this type of headache.

This is a scam company!!!! BEWARE!!!! I spent $300 on VIP tickets for a festival. I never received the tickets. On top of paying for flight, dog daycare, rental car, and hotel. I can’t even go to the concert now and when I reach out to universe they tell me to talk to the host. I’ve messaged the host 10 times and he has not responded once. THIS IS A SCAM SITE AND SHOULD BE TAKEN DOWN!

I recently tried to book tickets for a Circus near me for the kids in the holidays. So far I've got no tickets to the event, money has gone out of my account, sent to a club in Soho London according to my banking reference. The organisers can see my booking but have no money from me. I'm in limbo and the event is tmrw. No-one to contact at Universe to solve this either.

Originals Festival

Haven’t got a response on the below email. People avoid using these sellers!

I contact regarding the Originals festival held on Sunday 11 Aug 2024 at the Crystal Palace Bowl (SE19 2GA)

Upon arrival (well before the last entry time), I was unpleasantly greeted with a very long queue. I started queuing just before 4pm yet was still queuing at 17:57 (see photo attached with time stamp). There was no queue control, thugs who had seen how long the queue was were pushing in front then using profanity when confronted! There was not a security guard in sight to man or control the crowd hence scummy people were able to queue jump without repercussion. Then when you did get through the barriers, the security looked fed up with bad attitudes. By this point people had got pissed off with waiting and stormed the green fence/boarder that was up before you got into the main park. I was knocked over and injured (see leg photographed).

How can you charge £66 per ticket and I probably got three hours max out of the event (when I planned on getting 6). An absolute farce. An absolute disgrace to the originals franchise. One of the worst experiences of a festival ever I will never spend my hard earned money on one of your events. You’re supposed to feel safe, security are supposed to do their job, be vigilant and keep control.

Fraudulent firm

This company feels like a complete and total scam. Ordered tickets for a show in Silver Spring, MD’s Filmore and it was suddenly canceled on the day of the event without explanation. Between universe and the promoter I could not get a refund and I was out $180. It would be different if I cancelled, but if the artist cancels, should the patron not get compensated??? Bottom line: Do not do business with this fraudulent operation. They should be ashamed of their money grabbing practices. I will definitely think twice before I consider anything associated with their name.they are messing up the fine arts experience for all of us.

Another TicketMaster Scam

Got tickets, show cancelled, never heard a word from Universe and still haven't seen a refund. Had I known it was a Tickemaster company, I would have never given them my money in the first place.

Borderline scammers

Bought tickets from an event. Had to cancel due to an emergency 2 days after I bought the tickets (the event was week later) and they refused to refund claiming that the person who organized the event had to refund me even if I bought the tickets from universe. (Mind you, I don't even know the organizer)
Had to call my credit card and ask for help because universe is not professional enough to issue refunds like a regular business.

Bad after sales

They sold me tickets for a game and it started 30 minutes before the time listed on the ticket. The game was at half time when we arrived. When I called support, they told me there was a no refund policy in place and to contact the organiser of the event for a refund. When I asked who the organiser was, they could not tell me.

I am the organiser of an event that finished a week ago and universe.com still haven't paid me my ticket funds, they have been sitting on my gate receipts cash for months now. This should've been paid out to me 2-3 days after the show. Shambles will go back to using Ticketsource.

Why do we have to deal with another sh**tty middle man when buying tickets? F**ck American express. Had to have a friend buy my tickets cuz I didnt have american express but even though the tickets were bought in my name on someone elses american express it was too f**cking stupid to know the difference and put the tickets in her name. Now I cant get any help correcting them. Middle finger raised in salute to this worthless company!

Do not purchase tickets from Universe

Do not purchase tickets from Universe. They will not honor the purchase if the event holder bails out.

The HR Giger event they promoted fell through and kept my $$$.

!!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS FROM UNIVERSE !!!!!

universe działają od lat, brokerzy najprawdopodobniej przejęli domenę w 2016, a sama powstała w 97? możliwe, ale czy faktycznie, nie wiem ... szukam co się da o nich, zabrali mi masę pieniędzy, teraz terr oryzują, że jak nie będę dalej chciał wypłacić pieniędzy z konta handlowego, to mnie podadzą, że sam piorę kasę, i że oszukuję różne urzędy, co jest bzdurą, uczciwie prowadzę firmę od 17 lat, uczciwie zarabiam, a oni mnie nabrali, zwodzili i po prostu okradli.
nie odpuszczę im, jak znajduję coś nowego na nich, albo pojawiają się nowe informacje że znów ktoś został oszukany, od razu wysyłam materiały do uzupełnienia w mojej sprawie w sadzie, trzeba z nimi walczyć, nie umrę z głodu, mam możliwość szukania i zajmowania się nimi, i będą to robił, do samego końca, do póki będą działać !! prócz mnie wiem że przynajmniej jeszcze z dwa tuziny innych osób też zostało oszukanych a którzy mają również sprawy prowadzone, kilka osób tak jak ja ]69[ 6 - 718 ]446[ tutaj, przez prawniiczki. jeżeli ktokolwiek szuka zmotywowanej pomocy prawnej to polecam tą co sam mam, bez adwookatek, pewnie popłynąłbym jeszcze z większą kasą, ale w porę się opamiętałem, w porę skonsultowałem się z kimś kto wiedział co to za banda jest i jak się ich wystrzegać, a co też istotne jak zrobić, by nie musieć nic więcej przez nich stracić, bo to że mnie okradli na początku roku to jedno, ale wiem że będą próbować dalej, ale już im się nie uda,

The worse show ever!!!
I booked a ticket for Illusionaries: Memories of a Dead Poet. OMG what a mistake! The show suppose to be about 45 minutes, 25 minutes was waiting and unnecessary intro, we got into the smallest room ever and it is told will be 360 light show. The illustrations were looking like a work of a teenager almost 2D with no story.. horrible looking men torturing a shepherd looking boy! Kind of a meth head made up story!! Awful! I could not even stay after the first 5 min!! Whomever curated this non-sense should change job immediately! Waste of time & money!! A full scam!!
