Investing in SIPP
I have a SIPP with Vanguard and its really easy to self invest into a wide choice of funds. Drawdown is very straightforward and they provide a couple of free calls to answer any questions & go through everything with you before you go ahead with drawdown.
You do have to be comfortable using an online platform. Especially with drawdown which is why the free calls are so helpful with this.
I prefer to use the online messaging for any queries, but they also have telephone lines as well.

A very good explaination
Cameron gave me a very comprehensive view on options for accessing my pension including supplying details of the HMRC P55 form for claiming back tax from my first pension withdrawal. H explained the options available for drawing my pension very well. Thanks Cameron.

Cancellation process painless
You can tell a lot about a company by the way they handle the cancellation process. Cameron was super responsive and quick to assist with the process. I'm only moving because I want support a UK based company instead of American.

I had a phone call with Oliver from Vanguard to discuss my options for making my first pension withdrawal. These options can appear quite complicated but Oliver explained them clearly, showed genuine interest in my particular circumstances and offered further help and support at any time if I needed it. Great customer service from Vanguard!

Unhelpful
Unhelpful, inflexible and from a once happy Vanguard customer they really have fallen from grace in my eyes at least
I changed banks using the switch service, manually updated my new details on their platform
So what did they do, took my fees (which I have no issue in paying) from my cash balance (This is an ISA so tax free is a benefit so to lose cash however small is really annoying)
I queried this and asked for the fees to be returned to my ISA and offered to pay by debit card instead they refused
I also use II and HL who by the way were perfect and all set online in minutes
Anyway, they could only set up direct debit with a bank statement, which isn't available on my account as it is new and would have to wait a month, so I physically went to the bank to get one which I duly uploaded and it was rejected because of sort code and account number, and at this point I am losing the will
I really would avoid this company now, from a once brilliant investment platform, they have turned into unhelpful jobsworths, just avoid and save yourself future problems, all my new investment money is going to II as they are amazing and Vanguard will not be getting anymore, not worth the aggravation

Been with Vanguard since 2020…should have been with them earlier!
Been invested with Vanguard since 2020 after moving my entire pension to them and my only regret was not having done so earlier. Not only are they the industry's lowest cost providers but they also offer excellent customer service. Lines are always well attended and their customer service advisors really know their stuff. Had a terrific experience with Matt who walked me through a complex pension related issue and followed up with me every step of the day. 5* customer service

Matt who helped was very polite and informative and very patient. His friendly manner put you at ease. Also a conversation with cameron was just as good. Obviously the training on how to deal with people is of an excellent standard which does as a far as i am concerned not require further adjustment.
