My pension sits with Vanguard and I was looking at my options to withdraw my tax free lump sum and I went through the process which was very smooth and Matt B was the lad who explained all my options very concise and clear he was excellent . My husband has other investments in Vanguard and rates the company very high also

Very high standards, very clear and concise information.
I have always been highly impressed by the friendly professionalism of Vanguard personnel, and today's chat with Oliver regarding crystallising my pension investments was at the highest standard.

This platform is not as competitive as…
This platform is not as competitive as some of the other platforms available.
One of the main limitations is that it does not allow fractional investing. I have started making monthly payments into the platform and selected an ETF, but there is no option to automatically invest the monthly contribution when the ETF’s unit price is higher than the amount being paid each month.
It would be much more useful if the platform offered fractional ETF purchases or an automatic investment feature that could use the monthly contribution to purchase a fraction of an ETF. This would ensure that the monthly payment is invested rather than remaining as uninvested cash or wait for manual buying order.

Moving my pension to Vanguard
I have recently moved my pension to a SIPP with Vanguard, the process was extremely simple. I had a telephone conversation where they explained the investing options and answered all my questions thoroughly and patiently. So far the experience has been first class and they have been knowledgeable and helpful!
