Just had the spiced bag in Milton Keynes don’t bother it was crap powered spices just thrown in not cooked left a terrible taste in my mouth I usually like the food but not this time.

Overall almost all ...JDWs are excellent.

Overall almost all ...JDWs are good venues to visit as choice of drinks/food is more than adequate with excellent value for money pricing.
Service mostly good but could be tweaked.
I'd like to see slicker table servicing with a clear wipe & swipe approach every time a table is vacated.
Perhaps dedicated staff per shift..
Poor use of clientele English language should be discouraged to improve the ambience of a visit.
Good idea to support with a notice at bar and management seen to enforce with relevant advice where necessary.

The Good Yarn

The Good Yarn, Uxbridge. Spoke to the duty manager and bar manager to complain. They were extremely rude, insinuating I was lying. I wrote to Wetherspoon’s customer service, who have not given the curtesy of a reply.
My 93 year old mother and I have always enjoyed our weekly outing to have a meal at this establishment, we have done this for many years.
On 26/03/2025 we visited a little later than usual around 17.15. The bar was not busy, but had to wait quite a while to be served as the pink haired server was working alone, she was unfriendly, and I could see why, she looked exhausted. I ordered our meals and waited at least 25 minutes for them to be delivered. The waitress explained they were very under staffed. The meals were lukewarm, but we ate them as we were hungry. I then via their app ordered a Bramley Apple Crumble. I could only describe it as cement. I complained to the bar lady who told me that is how it comes and that she was not going to do anything about it, she then called out a man from the kitchen who apparently was the duty manager. He was extremely intimidating, insinuating it was a lied and said he wasn’t going to refund me and to go away.
I have complained to Wetherspoon’s Head Office via their customer service form and after a week not had the common courtesy of a reply.
Absolutely disgraceful customer service from this establishment. I had visited many Wetherspoons pubs over the years and have enjoyed the experience. I definitely will not be going back to The Good Yarn again, and I doubt I am not the only customer to be treated with such disrespect and shear contempt.
I had also reported to the bar lady that the disabled toilet was swimming in water, and that it had a strong smell of urine. She didn’t seem interested, and another customer advised me and he’d that the unisex toilet was always swimming in what he hoped was water. The unisex disabled toilet is opposite the kitchen.

I booked out a part of the poulton elk…

I booked out a part of the poulton elk out for my birthday as I had a lot of people coming 20 plus and my details were taken and we were told it was fine and we did this month's in advance so we thought that the venue was set...we came in a few weeks before the booking to make sure everything was still okay to be told by a different person that they will accommodate us and to still come then on the day we come in early to see if we have our space to be met with "they shouldn't of taken your booking we don't take them anymore and we can't reserve places" so not only could they have called us when they stopped taking bookings to let us know in advance and not on the day so we couldn't make a plan b and still had a venue but on the day did not accommodate us or even attempt to. So disappointed as we come quite alot for food and drink.

The Six Chimneys Wakefield.
A lovely afternoon of friendly chat and banter with friends I haven’t seen in over 35 years was ruined when an order I placed was stopped and we were told to leave. The staff were very aggressive and rude.
I hadn’t done anything wrong and another 73 people hadn’t either but because one member of our group upset a member of staff, instead of removing that one member the staff threw everyone out.
I had just placed a drinks order for £32 and did not get served my drinks.
I think we were treated very badly and the staff ruined many people’s day.

WRONGLY ACCUSED AND BARRED

I have been coming to this pub for around 30 years for meals and drinks. Probably every couple of weeks.

I went in yesterday with my daughter. We were meeting friends for a meal. The Duty Manager came up to me and said I wasn't welcome in the establishment. I was shocked and asked why, he said I had been identified by a members of staff as being involved in an incident earlier in the year, dancing on the table and starting trouble and the police had to be called. He said it was either me or the person looked like me, so there was clearly an element of doubt. IT WASN'T ME.

I explained that it wasn't me and I had been coming to the pub for years and in fact was in there two weeks prior and several times before that since the beginning of the year so why was I not asked to leave before if it was me. Why leave it months since the incident to bar me? I am 50 years old and have arthritis and there is no way I would be getting on a table dancing, there is no music in there to dance to anyway. The Duty Manager was not having it. I asked to see the CCTV which he said couldn't be viewed for a week. I said if the police were called surely they had a name of the person and they could check my ID. He said no. It was completely bizarre and I was humiliated and accused of something I hadn't done in front of my child, my friends and their children and an extremely busy pub. It was very upsetting. I tried to explain and the Duty Manager ushered us out and said we were barred.

I had also ordered drinks and he said I would get a refund in 3 days.

I am so upset and disappointed to be treated like this in a pub I have been to for many years.

Nicola customer service was brilliant. Knowledgeable and friendly.
I felt welcoming as Nicola pointed out various beverages and sauces areas.
Thank you Nicola. Brilliant customer service.

NO DOGS ALLOWED in all areas

Went into the Wetherspoons in Marlow with 3 small dogs, sat outside in the sunshine and ordered 2 small breakfasts on the app for my wife and self. When the waitress came out she said no dogs allowed even in the outside areas. So had to go in for a refund and the manger there said it was company policy not to have dogs on the premises. So there you go, if you have a dog, go somewhere else to eat.

Harry Claspers Whickham poor service.

Harry Claspers Whickham. I placed an order via the app which immediately displayed on the screen behind the bar. I waited for my drink and saw a number of people approach the bar and be served after I had placed my order.
I went to the bar and pointed out to a member of staff my observations only to be told that they serve the people who come to the bar first.
I would like Wetherspoons to tell me why they encourage customers to use the app when staff prefer to serve customers ahead of their turn when they come to the bar.

Cold breakfast at Kingswood Colliers Bristol

I ordered 2 large breakfasts on Sunday 23/3/25 at the Kingswood colliers, in Bristol. When they arrived, all the eggs were overcooked, the 'toast' was barely toasted and was limp, hash browns were soggy and overall the food was cold. As someone who often comes here for breakfast the food being lukewarm at best is a common occurrence.
On the plus side, the staff are friendly and pleasant.
We will not be coming here again.

We ordered fish

We ordered fish, chips and peas today and when it was served to the table we started eating and found that it was batter, chips and peas. No lemon as usual served with it either. We had paid over £22 for this fish meal and decided to ask for another meal to be sent to the table as the fish was literally 99 per cent batter. The meals were replaced but only my meal was marginally better and my husband's fish was still mainly batter. Come on Wetherspoons you can do better than this or you will certainly lose custom!

Popped in to worthing west sussex and…

Popped in to worthing west sussex and decided to grab a beer and a bite to eat.
The three fishes was the place we visited..
Could not believe the price,cleanliness,ambience. This place was run like a tight ship...keep it up guys you are a credit to your trade.

We visited London on an extended…

We visited London on an extended weekend to take in the attractions but our main event was a Wembley final between Liverpool and Newcastle United. As a Newcastle fan we had an amazing weekend and love the value for money of a Wetherspoons, some were expensive, some were rude, but The Liberty Bounds, top floor and Mark looked after us and the whole floor for hours, so busy, so, in my opinion over worked, I even saw him on toilet duty, he ran the floor....floorlessly, massive shout out to Mark. Thank you Mark and Wetherspoons The Liberty Bounds

Use it or loose it.

I have visited Spoons all around England and always get fantastic value for money and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I visited the Man In The Wall, Wimborne yesterday and had a lovely time - thank you keep up the good work Tim.

Discrimination at weatherspoons Velvet Coast Blackpool

Stopped off at weatherspoons Velvet coast Blackpool on Monday 10th March 2025 as we had grand children wanting food as we where away for my 60th birthday with all the family.

As we had 2 dogs with us one my daughters young border collie and my wifes young service dog my wife and I sat outside with my youngest daughter to have a drink whilst waiting.

The wife's dog is trained to sit by her side or ride on her scooter and was happily sat on it watching people walk by causing no issues as was the case with the border collie.

Whilst waiting I went in and ordered some drinks we had seen a sign stating no dogs allowed except service dogs, but assumed this meant inside. As I came out with the drinks I was accosted by a very rude female I'm assuming she was a manager and was asked if I had dogs with me?

I said yes and was told that I had to drink up and leave? I explained that the dog on the scooter was a service dog at which point this female told me it wasn't and we had to leave I asked if it was now policy to call customers liers and to discriminate against service animals and disabled people? At which point she became bolshy telling me we where not welcome and to leave once we had finished our drinks.

My wife was understandably upset and left right away whilst I sat and drank my beer on principle

What was even more annoying is that she never asked if the dog was a service dog? We would have showed her harness she doesnt like wearing if asked. 5 minutes later a foreign couple got up to leave with a dog and kids their dog was pulling and had no service identification. It was obviously a family pet but as they where NOT English they where not accosted and called liers by a rather unattractive female.

It would appear they not only call customers liers, they also discriminate against certain ethnicities.

Absolutely disgraceful.

This is a review for the Ford Maddox…

This is a review for the Ford Maddox Brown in Manchester.

The Manager Cameron has a serious attitude problem. He will bar you for sneazing. I know a lot of people who have made complaints about this manager about his inability to accept criticism. I witnessed a large group of customers, who obviously had spent a lot of money on food, for him then to bar them, for saying some of the food wasn't warm enough. I'm sorry, but that is someone who must get a power surge and a kick out of barring people. He has done the same thing to relatives of mine.

He constantly gets complaints about him, but nothing seems to get done about it. This manager needs more training or, if not training, then higher management need to speak to him or, take disciplinary action because this guy is ruining the customer experience at this particular branch.
