Well, where do I start ?
The Furness Railway in Barrow. Hotel above, absolutely brilliant, couldn’t rate it highly enough, will stop in their hotels again without hesitation. But, their idea of cleanliness downstairs however, is something to be desired. Having not long since finished eating downstairs, i wondered if the pubs are run by one company, the hotel another !
Having sat down at a table that needed clearing, looked around to see where I could ‘dump’ the glasses. Seems there was four tables around me that I could pick, that were also full of glasses, two very full. Funniest thing was, the staff doing table service were just walking past these tables, as if they didn’t exist, in fact one table they delivered to, the recipients had to rearrange the glasses so they could put the order down, and still walked away empty handed !

Would have been nice to have mayonnaise with my salad, but they had none. I suggested that they could have made a local purchase, but was told not possible.

As there are no decent cafes anymore in Kingston upon Thames i risk Wetherspoons , i should have known better !! Its about 1pm and i am hungry so i order sausage chips and beans and a cup of tea please , i pay and go to the beverage station but theres no mugs ! I go to the bar and ask for one and say there are none there ( THE HATCH WHERE THEY RETURN ALL USED CROCKERY IS CRAMMED FULL OF DIRTY MUGS AND DISHES } Im handed a mug and as i start to go and get the tea under way I am asked by one of two young women if i paid !! I told them i paid when i ordered , " who served you ? " and im looked at like a thief by one of the two women . It turns out the Girl who served me did not take for the tea , " did you ask for tea " was the next question to which i replied yes . Then im asked if i want tea which i though was probally the most stupid question ive ever been asked in my life as im trying to get a mug of it in peace and quiet . Yes i reply and her response was youll have to pay for it ! Wow such intelligence the staff have . i pay get my tea and the food arrives which is not freshly cooked as it takes far longer to cook sausages than the time ive been there . I wipe the cutlery free of grease with the napkin and start to eat the culinary delight . Linconshire sausage , hardly , just a hint otherwise bland , as for the beans , there must be a shortage in wetherspoons of the most tasteless beans ever but im hungry , ive been looked at like in a thief and now in a foul mood . A chap comes walking out and asks me if everything is ok to which i acknowlege but ignore , he then asks me if im sure everything is ok , i just acknowlege again , get the "FOOD " down drink the tea and get out of the dive . If you want to eat rubbish and be treated that way then Wetherspoons anywhere is the place to go . More so KINGSTON UPON THAMES . TRAIN THE STAFF !! Oh and just before i leave i look up at the hatch where all the dirty crockery was ,, ITS ALL STILL THERE . And thinking on , remember the old Empire there years ago and later Mac Fisheries and i remember a public Toilet there also ,,, It seems they forgot to remove the public toilet !!!!

Had a friend down for the first time in months, were planning to go to this spoons for a few drinks. Got turned away at the door by security for being drunk. Neither of us had drunk a drop yet. The guard was very unwilling to give a solid reason for why he was turning us away the first time saying “come back in 15 minutes”. We did so and he then just wouldn’t let us in at all, refusing to explain why in the first place.

Done dry February, went to the Posset Cup at Portishead to have breakfast and first pint, was absolutely pointless, took long time to get severed as usual, ordered foid and drink, sat down with wife, waited ,waited, finally got food, eggs were hard, black pudding were as hard as freebies, bacon,sausages and hash brown's were just taken out of freezer, complained to manager and was told " that's how the company operates", on a good note ral Ale was fine.

We went to Wetherspoons in Stowmarket for breakfast.
Firstly the young girl taking our order was very monosyllabic, not the way to greet customers. When we received our breakfast it was served on stone cold plates which meant the food was cold within 2 to 3 mins. I know it's cheap, but nobody wants cold food.
Wetherspoons used to be good but not now.

Not enough staff both coffee machines empty ant both breakfasts stone cold, even after complaining breakfasts luke warm not blaming staff 2 behind bar manager serving food, there over run, extra staff needed area manager needed...disgruntled customer

we are suing weather spoons but suing Ellie Scoffin , girl with red hair,
who works for them... separately.
And told them if they refuse details we are issuing a court order .
AVOID The Tollmache Inn, they are trained ,, if you complain, they abuse you swear and then barr you , after you have left.
Ellie does this regularly as has done it to a few customers. Ellie is a dangerous character, and uses blackmail and threats to customers, and if you disagree with her , she stands by your table and refuses to leave. This company is dishonest and operates dishonestly as , their policy. is , internally , if you complain they barr you , the food is dread full , its dirty , i can afford to sue them and will sue Ellie . i am determined this individual should not work in a public sector as she displays dangerous behaviour, even a witness came forward. But wether spoons dont care , they support their "young" low paid staff and encourage this , if people are barred when they complain then its less hassle etc for them . well it has to stop and i will be suing them, i have a case . The witness has since submitted report to crime stoppers . Ellie aslo works at the Digby Cafe in grantham , so be cautious if she serves you!

Wetherspoons Glenrothes what a disappointment. If you are only drinking alcohol it’s a good place to go. But if you decide to have a meal as I did with my wife it’s awful. Nachos with watery salsa and no sour cream is not nachos. A Mediterranean salad that was either quinoa or pearl barley on lettuce. Where has the chef learned that one? A gourmet steak that was in no-one’s book, gourmet. It was a very poor cut of beef. Overcooked. Chewy. Peas were cold. Onion rings were adequate. Mushroom and tomato were spot on. But for £13+ for a gourmet steak they are having a laugh. It wasn’t always like this but it is now. Never again.

Ordered ham egg and chips at Wetherspoons at Parsons Barn in Shoeburyness.
Food was reasonable with the exception of the chips which tasted as though they had been sitting in fat all day. Absolutely disgusting.
I did mention it to the young waiter and it was clear he just didn't give a hoot

The food is usually good but the hygiene not so. I had to ask for my spoon to be replaced four times before I got a clean one. The napkin was dirty also. The staff member was very grumpy and when she brought the new spoon she did not check if it was clean or apologis. One had a lump of something brown !

Jamie's customer service in the Lord Caradoc in Port Talbot was just the best. Thank you Jamie.

Went to The Pommelers Rest - JD Wetherspoon. Ordered and payed for food. 40 mins later still waiting. Another wait at the bar to ask for my money back. Would not refund until they checked with the kitchen that our food was still not ready. Then,without apology or acknowledgement gave us a refund, less the cost of the one drink we had, and walked off.

Went to weatherspoons NEC? So not only does this place advertise meals including drinks then when you order you are told drinks not included? That's false advertising, but then when you buy meal and a drink it cost me £24.96p but at my local weatherspoons that same meal and drink cost £10.45? That's over double the price? Wow, and the quality at NEC of the food was poor, this is the first time I've left weatherspoons a bad negative... Staff? Well not a simple smile from anyone

Avoid Wetherspoons in Whitney Oxfordshire food is always stone cold and if you pay by cash cheeck it because i try to buy something from a different shop and it eould not take my pound coin as it is a old pound coin that i got from Wetherspoons avoid Wetherspoons

Took hubby to the spoons in Hednesford for his birthday lunch one poor chap behind the bar a huge queue but that’s the norm any way my husband had steak n kidney pudding Chips peas and gravy sister had Korean chicken bowl I had chicken strips n Jack Daniel’s sauce,well when hubby when to pour his gravy it slopped out with a huge skin and was stone cold the rest was warm,I took the gravy boat to the kitchen by the time she returned it was all cold,the pudding g was stiff,I said the the waitress when she returned the gravy it was all cold even the gravy ,she said well the pudding is heated up in a microwave the rest was cooked fresh oh no way it was ,she snatched it up later came back with a new one all cold but he ate the chips as the pudding was nasty ,ours was hot but been up all night with diarrhoea,needles to say we won’t go again we used to go at least once a week ,what was worse the waitress attitude she was nasty ,when the other waitress came to clear the table she asked how it was I said don’t ask she said is there a problem I told her what went on she said she will see what she could do I said don’t bother we have to go …..and that was that £30 down the drain

Very disappointed with the last meal at the Savoy in Swindon to find I had about 9 chips with my fish and chips, did ask the server why so few chips and he replied that was now the standard portion.
Guess I won't be eating at the spoons any more

Decided to have a Curry at Newtown Powys. It arrived very quickly and looked quite nice but the Naan Bread very quickly turned into Ready mix concrete. You could not tear it never mind chew it. I left it all but said nothing. The table cleaner said nothing either. Dreadful food. I gave it 2 stars as it was warm and clean in there.

This company should employ more staff and treat customers as they would like to be treated. People only go there because it's cheap. The last time I went there was 2021. No more.

I love wetherspoons edible food for a cheap price. You get what you pay for, it's cheap and easy for a quick meal.
