Terrible service at gate and check in.
10 hours before the flight we tried several times to check in. The app wiuld let us check in. The previous flight we manage to check in online.
At the airport the staff was really rude about this. And said: we have to pay to check in. We explained that we tried several times. But the only answer was: you had to make screenshots.
They said it in a really inpleasend way!!!
At the gate the same persons were there. They didnt say anything and were really rude to us.
I will not recomend this to anybldy.
If wingo wants the name of the employés they can send me an e-mail.

Screenshot your check-in attempt
Oh, where do I even begin? Silly me for not realizing that in this ultra-modern, high-tech age, the absolute best proof of a check-in attempt is a good old-fashioned screenshot. I mean, it's only 2024, after all. Who could possibly expect systems to have reliable records or even the capability to troubleshoot issues without that precious screenshot?
I should have known better. Clearly, the onus is on the client to foresee any potential hiccups and document every step with detailed screenshots. Because why would the company want to make their own process foolproof when they can just rely on us, the ever-vigilant clients, to do their job for them?
Next time, I’ll be sure to have a camera crew on standby to capture every single interaction, just in case. After all, it's not like I have anything better to do than to document my every move. Thanks for the enlightenment!
A happy customer
Before I booked my first Wingo flight, I read all the terrible reviews and was very hesitant. However, now I have flown with them twice, (Lima to Bogota, and Medellin to Santa Marta), I wanted to report I had a very good experience both times! Flights were on time and clean. I read all the instructions carefully and had no issues whatsoever. (Well, one minor glitch trying to check in on line, but was resolved after several attempts). Wingo was considerably cheaper than Latam, Avianca and Jetsmart. I travelled with carry on only and knew the rules (no checks were made on the weight or sizes). Would definitely travel with them again.

La peor experiencia de mi vida, viajaba para asistir al funeral de mi madre y dos trabajadores de WINGO en el aeropuerto de San José de Costa Rica no me dejaron abordar el vuelo #7079 del día 7 de mayo citando que no disponía de la documentación necesaria para ingresar en Colombia y esto era completamente falso ya que desde el aeropuerto llamamos a la embajada de Colombia la misma valido toda mi documentación y además respaldaron que no veían ningún motivo por el cual se me negase el abordar el vuelo, así que gracias a estos sujetos no pude asistir al funeral y aclaro que soy hija única… así que se podrán imaginar mi frustración y desespero por la situación. NO RECOMIENDO USAR ESTA AEROLÍNEA BAJO NINGÚN MOTIVO
LUGGAGE DAMAGE NO SOLUTION
I travelled from Cartagen to Bogota with a new luggage that I bought just few days before my trip. The luggage arrived with multiple cracks where it is not possible to be use again since one of the wheels was also broken. I reported the problem with pictures as evidence since it looked like someone dropped it from a height but I was told nothing can be done because that is a minor damage. A minor damage where as a new bag can not be used again? A minor damage where I have to pay a credit for a bag that I will never use again? They have no office at the airports so all the damages and complains have to be done by email and the answer you get is like a robort gave the response or someone just copied and paste without investigating the case.
AWFUL service. SCAMMERS. BEWARE!
Terrible service. First, the response time and clarity of the resply is terrible. The resolution of my case was carried out by an incompetent group of people who do not have the decency to answer the questions you ask them. Aside from that, more than 2 answers by bots, and only 2 INCOMPLETE answers by "humans" who do not take their job seriously. Having to resource to the call center to get answers, and even so the agents of said call center do not even have an idea of their policies or do not even have the power to solve the issue. All the refund policies they have are absurd. Charging withholdings, not being aware of the payments made by the user, and not responding to questions or giving the user any options is an insult, especially when the cancellation and refund request is DUE TO ILLNESS, a reason that is beyond control of the costumer.
Seriously, this has been the WORST experience I have ever had with airlines. That being the case, if I were the owner of this company, I would close my offices and dedicate myself to another profession, because the lack of training, the lack of seriousness, the lack of information, the lack of customer service, the lack of honesty, does not deserve to be witnessed by people who take the time to give a new airline a chance because "it may be good, it may be worth it", and simply have all that trust torn apart and thrown away because of the lack of respect that they have towards the customer.
Wingo is a company full of useless workers and jerks. What a disappointment, and I hope this company never prospers, because no one deserves to have such a despicable experience with this service.

Schlechteste Airline, die ich je gesehen habe! Habe diesen Flug zwei mal gebucht - einmal über Opodo, da kam die Meldung, dass was mit der Zahlung nicht stimmte. Dann nochmal direkt über Wingo mit der Kreditkarte gebucht. Hat alles geklappt, ich habe einen Tag vor dem Flug eine email bekommen, dass die Zahlung nicht akzeptiert wurde, obwohl das Geld überwiesen war!
Würde niemals wieder Wingo buchen das ist eine reinste Ver*rsche! Kundenservice ist ebenso so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Habe mit vier Personen gesprochen am Flughafen und jeder war inkompetenter als die Person davor.

Havde en mærkelig oplevelse, som jeg gerne vil dele med jer. I min mail boks fandt jeg flere bekræftelses mail fra Wingo på flybilletter, som var købt af flere forskellige personer. Købene var foretaget på mit Mastercard og med min mail adresse. Jeg kontaktede naturligvis min bank for at spærrer kortet. Men det var umuligt at kontakte Wingo og fortælle dem om svindlen. Jeg har har nu forsøgt at skrive til dem. Men om de læser det vides ikke.....booking ZDMA69

ABZOCKE, FINGER WEG!
Tut eurem Geldbeutel und euren Nerven einen Gefallen und bucht NIE über diese Airline.
Meine Buchung wurde mir zwei Tage vor dem Flug gecancelt und mir eine volle Erstattung versprochen. Mal abgesehen davon, dass meine Ersatztickets bei einer anderen Airline ob der Kurzfristigkeit fast das Doppelte kosteten, habe ich mein Geld nie wieder gesehen.
Der Customer Service ist eine Frechheit. Entweder gibt es ganz zufällig technische Probleme auf der Website, wenn man eine Beschwerde einreichen will, oder man bekommt auf ewig standartisierte "we're on your request"-Mails, auf die dann nichts folgt. Die Telefon-Hotline ist nie belegt. Und aus Deutschland bekommt man Wingo sowieso kaum erreicht.
Wingo ist eine absolut unseriöse Fluggesellschaft.
Now I’m out $500 and need to find another way back home.
Think twice before buying from Wingo. I purchased two tickets from the Wingo web site. Panama to Cartagena Colombia. Never received tickets but they did take my money. Wingo claims I never purchased tickets, now I have to make a dispute with visa to get my money back . Stay far away from Wingo
Wingo cancelled our flights 2 months…
Wingo cancelled our flights 2 months before the date, offering us a refund or ticket with Copa (non-refundable path) after selecting this we are now 3 weeks away from the flight with no tickets and Wingo “complaints” simply respond by copying and pasting a “wait and check your email” message and calling the complaint “resolved!” We have stressed the urgency and the need to prove we have exit tickets for our PRESENT JOURNEY. If the people at Wingo were in our situation it would be sorted in a snap. But they are satisfied with treating others like this. Of course the replacement flight will be filling up all the while now it is only 3 weeks away, so we are especially concerned about having this reservation done. We of course have our accommodation booked etc. This is not the 1st time Wingo have been appalling regarding service and now the lesson has been learned, never use Wingo. WP-1719231 is the (latest) “resolved complain reference.

Vorsicht, von einer Buchung bei Wingo ist absolut abzuraten.
Offensichtlich war mein Flug von Medellin überbucht, unter fadenscheinigen Gründen wurde die Beförderung abgelehnt. Sowohl bei mir wie auch bei einem anderen Ausländer. Eine Erstattung oder Neuausstellung eines Flugtickets wurde abgelehnt.
Die Fluggesellschaft arbeitet mit kriminellen Methoden.

MEDIOCRE. Travel with Wingo has been the worst experience I have has in my life! At the airport they don’t allow us to self checked even when we were 3 hours before the flight, they asked for US$40 per person for the checking on the counter, the website said US$18. I wasn’t able to flight to Venezuela because I don’t have a Visa so I decided to get at least the taxes back. The First Reimbursement Request was filed on September 7, 2023 / WP-1504967, endless emails without a respond. The first reply was a rejection of my request because I have no provided the flight number, weird thing because the flight number and other information were mandatory or necessary to let me continue and create a complaint number. Until today November 28th, 2023 I have not received the reimbursement.

I should have read other reviews before booking my flights. They might be cheap, but you won't make it onboard. Spend a bit more to fly with someone legitimate
As other reviews have highlighted, they cancelled my reservation with no warning or notification. I booked months in advance as well. I only found out when I went to check in 24hrs before my flight and I couldn't get into my booking it just said 'reservation cancelled'.
Had to spend the next hour trying to get hold on someone at the company - Finally did on Whatsapp chat and they confirm the booking was cancelled 'to prevent a scam'. They refused to tell me why it was cancelled or when, as I had no notification or emails to tell me otherwise. They said they could book me on again, but it would cost more... felt like a scam from them.
Ended up paying 4x times the prices to get home via another airline. Use LATAM or Avianca
