When I purchased a ticket to Havana, Wingo charged my card twice. I contacted them multiple times about it, but their excuse was that I didn't contact them within the hour it happened, even though I received an email 4 hours after I tried purchasing the ticket the first time, stating that my order was cancelled. At least Spirit Airlines reimbursed me for the double charge! I had to file a claim through my bank since Wingo did nothing. The most awful experience I ever had with an airline.

Nach all den negativen Kommentaren waren wir etwas besorgt mit Wingo zu fliegen, können diese Erfahrungen aus unserer Sicht aber nicht teilen. Beide Flüge (einer innerhalb Kolumbien, einer von dort nach Panama) waren pünktlich und das Personal auch wirklich freundlich. Kein Aufpreis oder sonstige Versuche uns irgendwie Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen 😉 Lediglich die App ist etwas umständlich und hätte Verbesserungsbedarf

If I could give Wingo Airlines a minus stars I would. Saying they are incompetent is too much. The whole staff are incompetent and have no sense of customer service. Avoid this airline at all cost. They have cost us more money and waste of time then I have ever experienced in my 30 years of flying. I flew with small kids and they had no accomodations to the situation. They lie, lie and lie more. Evidently no supervisor or no one claimed to be. They had a 2:58 hour delay. Never told us what was going on. Left us not knowing the issues and the staff have no clue. Due to the 2:58 hour delay being 2 minutes under 3 hours The denied us any reimbursement for anything and didn't even offer food voucher gave us old airplane trash. They cost us a transit and had to pay for own hotel because of their buffoonery. This has to be the worst airline in the world and I will make sure I visit every review site to let others know how trash this airline is. I have contacted a lawyer to see about a suit against them. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!

I paid my ticket like 70 euros and I paid 40 euros more for the suitcase.
When I did the check in, they ask me to pay for my bag in the plane, for 80 euros.

Worst airline.. they cancel flights and do not pay you back or give credit. Recently they did not give me a ticket and they returned me from a flight for not having a ticket which they failed to give. Guys if you get paid and promise a service and fail this is called fraud.

Booked flight in advance. While I was at the airport trying to check in they canceled my reservation. They told me because of the payment. I contacted my credit company and they said that payment went through. The real reason: they oversold my flight and because I am from US I can pay more. So i endup paying 95% more for the next flight. Crooks. Don't ever use them. Lost half a day at the airport and $400 extra. Never again will use them.
My Negative Experience with Wingo Airlines
I had an unpleasant experience with Wingo Airlines regarding my motorcycle helmet. Most airlines, including U.S.-based airlines, allow passengers to bring helmets on board as a carry on. Nonetheless, I asked several Wingo employees before going through airport security if I could carry my helmet on as a personal item, and they assured me it was allowed. Additionally, helmets are not listed in Wingo's Restrictions and Limitations section. Despite this, when I arrived at the flight gate, an employee told me that I could not bring my helmet onboard and did not provide any documentation or website links indicating that helmets were prohibited items. Although I had a bag that the helmet could fit into, the employee insisted on checking it, costing me an additional $100. Notably, airport security had no issue with my helmet.

After flying sometimes as often as twice a week on all airlines across the globe for the last twenty years, I can conclude this airline is by far one of the worst. To make matters worse, they manage to confuse me with repeated and different random requests that seems to serve no purpose except to upset their guests. Other passengers on the same flight were equally confused and shocked. just fly avianca to expect normal service levels, I’ve paid the same amount if not less for much better service.

De lo peor que he visto en mi vida. Todas las prácticas ilegales y abusivas que puedas imaginar, con el consentimiento de las autoridades Panameñas y Colombianas. Vender flexibilidad sin costo adicional y cuando vas a cambiar pagar 4 veces más o no dejarte la pagina web totalmente a propósito ampliar la elección de equipaje para luego cargarte el doble en aeropuerto. Checkin obligatorio cuando ya hiciste checking online…evidentemente para poder robarte por cualquier excusa.

I've been flying with Wingo for a long time and never had a bad experience. Guess is good luck considering all the negative comments. Of course, its a low cost airline so you have to reduce your expectations a little bit, and always double-check weight and sizes.

Not even bad service, the service with this airline has been NON-EXISTENT. They lost my bag from Bogotá to Cancun and have not provided any assistance, any updates, I need to pester them constantly to have basic contact with them. Additionally, all their contact numbers are purposefully made complicated to talk to a real assistant with automated voice prompts which are not helpful. They’re a scam and the worst airline I’ve been on. Still waiting for my baggage and I have told them it’s quite urgent as it has my contact lenses in them and I’m therefore effectively blind and they don’t give a hoot. I asked about compensation and they said they’re not sure if they’ll provide any. Criminal how this company is allowed to exist. I JUST WANT MY BAG AND AT LEAST AN UPDATE ON PROGRESS. Every “update” email I get from them is just a repeat of the message I sent them. Absolutely useless. Additionally, when I got off at Cancun airport, no one was able to help as “no wingo employees” were here so it was like “tough luck - go off on your merry way now”. This airline is so incompetent and it’s a waste of money so to everyone considering using Wingo, DONT. You will regret it. Save your money and avoid this company at all costs which can’t even provide basic customer service.

!!!!!HORRIBLE !!!!!!! experience primera ves que viajo con WINGO y esta es la ÚLTIMA, nos humillaron delante de todos los pasajeros tanto en el chequeo principal como el gate de embarque del avión xq estámos gorditos y según ellos las sillas eran súper pequeñas( soy viajero frecuente y me eh subido en las aerolíneas más prestigiosas como la más baratas), pero WINGO esta FUERA DE LUGAR nos obligaron a comprar sillas de al frente diciendo que si no las comprábamos no nos iban a dejar montar, le pregunte xq nos hacían esto decía que estaba en el “contrato” me mando a leerlo y todo, pero mi hermana con pena por todo los que nos hacían dijo págalo ya para salir de este mal rato. Cuando llegamos al avión nos habían asignado la fila 1 las cuales tienen separadores en cada puesto ahí si no cupimos sin embargo en las sillas normales que teníamos si cabíamos! Nos HUMILLARON delante de todos y nos ROBARON!!! La asistente de vuelo viendo lo que nos habían echo nos ayudo acomodarnos sin embargo no nos pudo ella REMBOLSAR nada. PASAJEROS puede que WINGO sea “barato” saquen la cuenta de todo lo que cobran y las ESTAFAS y verán que al final es un engaño!!

Illegally held in airport due to wingo! I am a British citizen with another British citizen that booked tickets with wingo! Wingo told us to collect the tickets at bogota airport after charging our cards. When we arrived the staff made us wait 45 minutes to print the tickets by which time we only had minutes to catch the plane! We asked to have the tickets changed ! This was refused. The girl on the desk told us to run!!for the flight. After missing the flight we were then told that we could not leave the airport or book more flights as our passports had been stamped by Imigration. We were kept illegally without reason in the airport and had to contact the British embassy as all of the wingo staff refused to help either issue a new ticket or get us the Imigration officer. Worst service I have ever seen anywhere and indeed Wingo will be in substantial legal issues after this situation.

Lousy scam of the airport staff. Airline offers cheap flights, but then gets additional income from fraud at the airport. We had to prove our departure at the check-in counter and showed the reservation confirmation for the sailing tour to Colombia. The provider was rejected by them and we were immediately recommended to simply buy a bus ticket for a bus that we will not take. I strongly assume that not only Tica Bus will benefit from the income. Otherwise, I wouldn't know why an airport employee who is supposed to document entry and exit recommends a fake bus ticket. Isn't it the employee's job to document the length of stay and the exact date of departure? So lousy scam or incompetent staff?
