Leon Donnelly was super as have all staff I have interacted with at Active Quote. Genuinely great service and expertise by Leon helped me get the right cover for the 3rd year in a row at a super premium.

I was prompted to re evaluate my medical cover with a phone call. Ciaran was polite and made no fuss.

He simply and quickly re quoted which offered me a annual saving, but also highlighted succinctly the benefits of the new cover. In 17 minutes he had compared the quotes and cover and ended the call.

Paul, the agent was very knowledgeable about the products and was able to clearly explain all the options and how they would relate to my personal circumstances allowing me to choose the correct policy to meet my needs

I have used Active Quote for a number of years and have usually been very pleased. This year I found them to be very brusque, lacking in empathy and did not visibly work on any options. Their advice to "stay with my current insurer" was not convincing or well justified.

They hide deep within their TOC that they'll provide your data to their partners. No you cannot opt out. No, asking them to delete your data won't help, they don't care. It doesn't matter if you take out a policy immediately, you'll still be getting multiple calls a day for weeks after.

Possibly one of the scummiest companies I've ever seen online for this. For context, in nine working days I've had 23 calls, and that's after I block the numbers as they call me. It's borderline harassment and I'm genuinely considering cancelling the otherwise fine policy with an absolutely faultless third party just so I can go through ICO for a full data delete.

Buying health insurance is hard with such a wide range of plans on offer with greatly different structure and cover offered. My own unusual circumstances also mean navigating jargon to filter the relevant plans is non trivial.

We've had health insurance brokered via Active Quote for a couple of years now. However, we've had to cancel it because we have an ageing French Bulldog who now needs about £300 of drugs per month.

Today I spoke with Bryony at Active Quote regarding the cancellation.

I wish all calls with companies went as well as this one.

Bryony was completely understanding of our situation and showed a genuine and honest level of interest and empathy regarding our dogs health.

It's rare these days that you get that level of understanding when you deal with any company, so this was a refreshing change.

There was no pressure put on to me to continue with health insurance or to try to find a cheaper quote. Bryony simply exhibited compassion and genuine concern for our dogs well-being.
