Alexander + Roberts Avis 655

This is my 4th trip with Alexander and Robert’s and they never disappoint,The first trip I joined them was in Peru and the hotel that we stayed are all Botique hotels,and at the center.Walking distance from the City Center so you can walk to most of the sites.i always travel with my sister and we we’re impressed with the friendly service from the Drivers ,and The tour director,are very knowledgeable.our trip this year was Crossroads Albania and Macedonia,it was awesome our meals was all farm to table which I love,and amazing.i can’t think of anything negative.
And they try to accommodate your request with a smile.
I’m planning to go to Japan next year and I only want to go with Alexander and Robert’s.

Unbelievable trip to Africa using Alexander & Robert’s. They took fantastic care of us. We’ve already booked an Alaska trip through them. Can’t wait!

We were guided thru the entire trip, from the airport and at every transportation change.

Our experience was great tour guide and made sure we spotted the polar bears swimming in the water and on land. He also made sure that we were close to the beluga whales, but not close enough that we’re disturbing them. The Lazy Bear Lodge was beautiful and the food was great. They had milkshakes available all day that with delicious flavors. The staff in the dining room was amazing as they were always very helpful with your meals.

All of the details for the trip were perfectly planned. All we had to do was relax and enjoy the trip.

This is the second trip we've done with Alexander and Roberts. This trip was to Africa. We did the tour "On Safari in Kenya and Tanzania", with add-on before (Victoria Falls), and add-on after (Rwanda Gorillas). The trip was perfectly executed. We loved the lodges where we stayed. The team leader in Kenya (Japhet Mrabu) and the team leader in Tanzania (Raymond Teekishe) were both wonderful. They are knowledgeable guides and shared their love of what they do to make this trip extra special. My husband and I highly recommend A & R and we will be booking with them again.

This is a short note to wrap-up our wonderful A-R managed vacation in Africa.

May have missed a few names – but we want to emphasize that they were all knowledgeable, friendly, had an attention to detail; went the extra distance in finding the correct spots for us to see (constantly communicating in Swahili with the ‘home base’ for information) – just excellent!

As Canadians we had a very difficult time with the group of all Americans. Our tour guide had difficulty communicating in English, and was overpowered by very domineering guests. They played basketball games on their phones while we were trying to hear and understand our guide. One wore clothing supporting Alex Jones, the Sandy Hook denier. We heard many 51st state comments. This might be acceptable to other Americans, but it felt like bullying to us.
We communicated our feedback to A&R and they were initially receptive. Their response though was a credit for future use on a minimum 5 day tour, in the value of 5% of the cost of this trip.
The hotels and transfers were fine, but we paid for a tour to have the information and education from a guide. We did not get that, and it had more value to us than 5% of the cost.

To have the opportunity to see the Northern Lights, Hundreds of Beluga Whales in the Hudson Bay, and Polar Bears in their Natural Habitat is a real privilege. This trip was truly incredible. Staying at the Lazy Bear Lodge was like staying at one of the rustic lodges in America's National Parks. The food was plentiful and very good. Our lead guide Deacon was outstanding with a wonderful sense of humor, very knowledgeable about the wildlife and had exceptional people skills.

Great customer service, guides so helpful and always available.

Interacting with all levels of staff. For myself a true, personal connection with the people making a living at assisting others is important for an educational and memorable experience. Learning key language phases shows your respect and interest in the people and country which you are a guest. We did the safari through Kenya and Tanzania and asked the staff to teach us the Jambo Jambo Hakuna Matata song which we then sang to them as a thank you upon our departure.

Best travel experience ever. Alexander and Roberts put together an incredible itinerary, solved some visa issues professionally and arranged for knowledgeable guides and drivers. Superb accommodations and meal service.

Everything, from the beginning to the end. The people, guides, and hotels. Well done.

The hotels were good. I especially liked the ones in Venice and Rome which were close to Saint Mark's Square and the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. All the local guides were excellent especially the ones in Rome and Ravenna.

There were a few hiccups. The drivers at the train stations in Milan and Rome were not there when I arrived. I had to call the emergency number and tell them exactly
where I was. The hotel in Rome did not have a good internet connection. A+R should have covered the city taxes. Trafalgar did.
Overall it was a wonderful trip.

The guide's historical knowledge and managing of the logistics made this a fabulous trip.

This is our second trip with Alexander & Roberts (A&R). Our first one was the "Buenos Aires" private tour, and this second one was the "Three Jewels: Buenos Aires, Iguazu, and Rio” May-June. I appreciate that A&R was accommodating with our request to replace Buenos Aires with Montevideo and to add a rolling bed in Montevideo’s hotel for my daughter. We also requested a driver to take us to the city of Trinidad and back to Montevideo. The drivers and tour guides in each of the cities were very professional and knowledgeable and very punctual when picking us up. The cars/mini vans were clean and comfortable.

Our package included flights from Montevideo to Iguazu and Rio. When the first leg of our flight from Montevideo to Buenos Aires was canceled, A&R booked an earlier flight for us and was also able to move up the Buenos Aires to Iguazu flight so we were not in the Buenos Aires airport for 6 hours; thus, we arrived in Iguazu around 1:00 pm and had a whole afternoon free to visit the Argentinean side of the falls. I appreciate their diligence in finding flights for us and taking care of all the arrangements.

What I like most about A&R is their choice of hotels. It’s first class and centrally located. The Hotel Alvear in Buenos Aires and the Belmond das Cataratas inside the Iguazu National Park were outstanding with excellent service and dining options. In Iguazu, the room had a view of the falls, and in Rio’s Belmond Copacabana Palace, the suite had a view of the Copacabana beach. We plan to book again with A&R soon for their exceptional accommodation and excellent service!

Fabulous tour guide (Lydia) and amazing tours. Beautiful area!

No hassle. Everything on time. Accommodations quite nice, all appropriate for the area in which we visited. Loved the choice of tours in Patagonia so you could choose according to your level. The vehicles were top-of-the-line. All in all it was just a great experience. I love being able to say that I have been to Chile including Easter Island, which is very much part of that country, even though it is one of the most remote places in the entire world.

We took several trips with them. Every time they find excuses for bad trips. Tanzania trip we had the worst car compare to any other company. Other trip we didn’t a room we were supposed to get or something else. Finally, we are done with them, trusting their false excuses.

My time in Liverpool was FAB. it was the focus of this trip. Everything about it was great: train ride there, hotel, sightseeing. Was in London 2 days before and 4 days after Liverpool. Always a good time.
