Airport Parking and Hotels (APH.com) was founded in 1980 and is the UK’s leading independent pre-booked off-airport car parking provider. Primarily, APH operates park and ride services for air travellers looking for competitive prices and top quality service. In just the same way that park and ride serves busy town centres, so park and ride for airports does likewise; it allows customers to avoid the congestion and confusion of unfamiliar roadways and signage. It also saves them money with off-airport parking rates typically 10-15% cheaper than on-airport. APH also offers packages including a hotel overnight stay for those travelling longer distances or with very early flights.

Rude and unhelpful staff member

As a experienced traveller I have been using the car parks at Manchester Airport for many years, and the Jet Parks since 2015, I have NEVER had a problem, apart from the parking areas could do with a coat of tarmac to make getting to and from the bus stops easier.

I am now in a position where I do a lot of travelling from this airport, 6 times in 2025, this will increase further this year as my daughter now lives in the USA and we will be visiting more frequently, and even longer stays than our usual 4 weeks.

Having a serious back injury, I do struggle with my cases and due to the length of out journeys, we do carry a lot of luggage.

A friend told me about APH, I was old that the parking is easy and that the bus is located in the car park area making luggage transfer a great deal easier, so I happily booked for our 24 day stay over Christmas and New Year.

After a long and tiring journey, we arrived at APH Manchester, instead of the expected pleasant experience, we were greeted by Mr Rude, a very unhelpful gentleman who seem to enjoy barking out instructions rather than being helpful. I entered the building and said ‘Good Morning’ the reply was a barked ‘Luggage first’ not the response that I expected or appreciated, what happened to manners?

The experience went from bad to worse, I’m not going to go into a I said, he said, just let me say, I was very underwhelmed by the attitude of this particular member of staff. For many years I worked in customer service at Manchester Airport, I am very used to dealing with passengers and customers, I have never once spoke to a customer in a manner that this person spoke to me. If I had not been in a hurry I would have cancelled there and then and booked with Jet Parks.

We went to get ono the bus, the driver sat there with his feet up whilst we passengers struggled to load cases, Jet park drivers will give you a lift when they realise that people are struggling, we all help each other load up the bus, same when we got off. Quite a few people on the bus commented on how rude this member of staff was, so it wasn’t just me he took a dislike to.

I did complain to the company and got a reply that basically said that the person on the desk was not rude or unhelpful and he had done his job as expected, wow, but also added he would be attending a customer service course, which of course you wouldn’t if you had been more helpful and approachable in the first place.

The lady driver on the return journey could not have been more helpful, she is a credit to the company, pity that can be said about her work colleagues.

I have already got 3 trips booked this year, more to follow later, none of them will involve APH, you only get one chance to make a first impression, and they sure did that with me, looking at Trustpilot reviews, I am not the only one who thinks that this company has a large percentage of rude, unhelpful members of staff, my first impression will be my last one with this company, never again.

We also regret that you felt unsupported when boarding the transfer bus. While customers do often assist one another, our team should always remain attentive and proactive, especially when passengers may be struggling. Your feedback, including the comments you overheard from other customers, has been taken seriously.

We’re pleased to hear that the driver on your return journey provided the level of service we aim to deliver consistently across our operation.

As you mentioned that you had already contacted us previously, we followed this up with the APH Manchester Manager to ensure your concerns were fully reviewed. While the Manager felt that the receptionist’s manner may have come across as abrupt and not particularly welcoming, he did not find their behaviour to be rude or abusive. That said, the individual has been spoken to regarding our welcome standards and the importance of a more approachable and pleasant manner, and additional customer service training is being considered to ensure our standards are consistently met.

You were also offered a discounted rate on a future booking as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused, which we understand you chose not to accept.

We appreciate how important first impressions are and are truly sorry that we did not get this right on this occasion. While we believe this to have been an isolated incident, we fully respect your decision regarding future bookings and are grateful that you brought this matter to our attention, as feedback like yours helps us to improve.

We wish you all the very best with your upcoming travels and your visits to the USA.

Great service

Have recently used APH and found them to be reliable and courteous. Both drop off and pick up were quick and smooth, with APH ringing me both times to check on my estimated time of arrival. Parked car was conveniently located next to the terminal. Would use again.

APH/IBIS hotel package 9th to 17th Jan 2026

Check in 9th Jan 2026, Manchester APH friendly and efficient. On return 17th Jan mid afternoon the driver was quickly out of his seat to help me get my ski bag into the luggage store, extremely helpful. Key collection efficient and friendly. No additional miles on the car when I returned, it appears to have been cared for while away. Happy with the price I paid for APH and the IBIS budget hotel package. No hesitation in choosing this service again.

Trusted with fair pricing

We as a family have used APH at Birmingham many times. Last year we used them twice and at all times, the service has been excellent. Staff are always very helpful and friendly. They are very understanding and thoughtful, when we are flying out, we could be feeling excited and yet anxious, when returning, depending how the holiday went or the flight experience, staff at times try to make small talk, depending on the situation or help carry our luggage. Birmingham airport is not the closes to us but we choose to fly from there, other than the greater choice of flight but the easy to get parking at a very competitive price. We always choose APH Self Park at all time, we always feel safe to leave our car there and when traveling with them. Keep up the good work.

Staff dont care.

Bus driver asleep over wheel while waiting to drive us. On collection car had dints in wheel arch but had been parked so as to hide this part of the vehicle. Used this company for many years and they used to be reliable. Not any more

First Class Service

We booked a package to include the Elite Gatwick hotel.
The hotel was excellent and the service from the car park staff was first class.
We had a lovely welcome when dropping the car off and the pick up was superb, especially as it was 0230 when we text for collection.
A very prompt and efficient service and this will now be our go to company.

Highly recommended

We have used APH for every holiday and would say every experience has been a positive one.
They are good value for money, they take good care of your car while you are away and the staff there are friendly and helpful. They are very efficient when you return from your holiday, you just drop them a text when you land and your car is waiting for you when you arrive at the carpark. They offer a free bus service to whatever terminal you want and the bus drivers and are friendly and helpful, helping you with your suitcase if you need it. Would recommend highly

Unacceptable delay in freezing conditions

We've used Manchester Airport APH Park and Ride for many years and have normally found them very good, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. After a long day travelling, we messaged as instructed to say we were ready for collection very late at night. We then waited at least 20 minutes in freezing temperatures. Eventually we had to call and chase them. It appeared they hadn't set off. From the initial message to actually arriving in their reception it took 45 minutes when this should have been closer to 20 minutes. What made the situation worse was the lack of customer service. There was no apology at all and the man on reception was very rude when we went to collet the car key. This was especially frustrating as there were no other customers waiting to be collected or taking to the airport at this time. Unfortunately the service does not appear to be as good as it used to be. I hope APH take this feedback on board, as this experience has made us consider using them again.

Just like to say how quick an efficient the service from APH was at Gatwick. Dave the driver was exceptional; loaded the cases and took them off the coach for us - five star service from departure and on arrival. Would recommend!!

Excellent service, i would highly recommend used them early boxing day morning and every one very friendly and cheerful and returned evening NYE again staff happy and cheerful, well priced for the service, 25 mins from parking car off to being outside the Gatwick North terminal,

Slick parking.

Slick parking.. easy communication.. great collection and drop off.. friendly staff... would recommend and use again for sure. This was for Cardiff Airport ... we used The Highwayman car park...there's a pub on site serving food and clean facilities.

Reliable, easy, professional

I’ve used APH dozens of times and am always impressed with how organised and reliable the service is. The price is very competitive. The bus drivers are usually friendly and even help people with their cases! I have used plenty of airport car parks but APH are my favourite hands down.

Staff are horrible n grumpy

To be honest the service is good but I’m leaving a 1 star review because of the attitude of the staff they are all rude arrogant and bad mannered it is absolutely ridiculous we definitely won’t be using the service ever ever again when people are happy n excited because they are going away last thing you want is to deal with these lot in here. If you don’t like your job leave n do somert else no one forces you to be there there is no need fr it. Now you have lost us as a customer n I know 2 other people that don’t use you any more.

Absolutely amazing service

Absolutely amazing service! We booked another parking near Gatwick as we were going away for the weekend with my husband the flight was early in the morning, so when we went to the car park that we booked it was closed an no ine there and the phone we were given was switched off. Then we saw the APH we went there and were already running quite late for the flight they took our car straight away and even gave us a lift to the airport with one of their Vans rather than to wait for the bus absolutely amazing service we were just on time for the flight i cant thank them enough! it will be our regular place to use when we r travelling 🙏❤️

Super efficient

I needed to take a trip to Glasgow for work and decided to stay at Birmingham Airport the night before I flew.

The train times did not work for me so my plan was to drive to BHX, stay over and be ready for the early flight the following morning.

I did quite a lot of research into hotels and parking and found the costs to be out of my budget until I discovered APH who offered ‘parking/hotel packages’

I found one that suited my needs for just over £100 for a stay in the Hilton and Zone 2 parking.

The directions issues by APH to Zone 2 were perfect, the site manager was very pleasant and informative and there were plenty of of spaces.

I waited no longer than 5 mins for the shuttle bus which took me to Departures - a 5 mins bus ride.

Upon landing back into BHX the following afternoon, the bus eas waiting outside Arrivals and took me straight back to my parking spot

Super efficient all round

Tip. Use What3words to remember where you left your car. It will be much easier to find when you return

This company is a scam

I booked a hotel,park and ride package at Heathrow.
When I arrived at the Thistle Heathrow Terminal 5 hotel the room was booked but no parking. The hotel said that they would waive the parking charge. I have just received a parking fine.

When I used the Heathrow Terminal 2 park and ride I followed the instructions and got a ticket. When I came to exit the prepaid ticket had no pre paid value. I had to pay for the parking. I have been contacting this company to get my money back for the parking charges against and ride parking charge and the parking fine.

The company claim that they are agents and will contact the company to help resolve the issue. You never hear from them again nor can you talk to anyone. Avoid this company they are scam

We’re very sorry to hear about the inconvenience you’ve experienced, including receiving a PCN and being charged again when exiting the car park.

Having reviewed our records, we can confirm that our team has been actively assisting you in securing a refund for the additional parking charge. As discussed in our previous communications, we have been in contact with Heathrow Long Stay to investigate why this occurred and have confirmed that a refund is due. We are currently awaiting confirmation from them that the refund has been processed. While we appreciate this is taking longer than expected, we would like to reassure you that we are not a scam company and have not been ignoring your case.

We can also see that a member of our team followed up again with the car park earlier today after your latest correspondence regarding the PCN. The PCN itself appears to relate to parking at the Thistle Hotel. This may have been caused by the vehicle registration not being logged at check-in or being entered incorrectly; however, we will request that this charge is cancelled on your behalf.

Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to support you and are simply awaiting updates from the car park and hotel regarding both the refund and the PCN status. Your case has not been overlooked at any point, and we have remained in contact with you throughout.

Staff damaged car and refused blame

Staff damaged my car costing hundreds of pounds to repair right before Christmas, then refused liability or blame because I didn’t check it immediately when it was 9pm and dark. I will never use a service of this nature again and will be leaving bad reviews and photos wherever possible.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that you discovered damage to your vehicle after leaving the car park. We understand how upsetting and frustrating this situation must be for you.

We can see that you’ve already been in contact with the car park operator, I Love Park & Ride, regarding your concerns. Although we appreciate that their response wasn’t the outcome you were hoping for, we do want to explain that once a vehicle has exited the premises, it becomes very difficult for any car park to consider a damage claim. This is because most operators - including this one - require any issues to be reported before leaving, so they can investigate immediately and accurately.

As APH acts solely as the booking agent for this service, we’re unfortunately not able to intervene in claims relating to damage or operational matters handled directly by third-party providers, as outlined in our terms and conditions.

Excellent service, quick and easy all round.

Excellent service, quick and easy to book, easy to find for drop off and collection. Very impressed. Only thing was car park charge getting in was £7.50 as expected, getting out of car park was £14.00. Would use service again at Heathrow.

Regarding the exit charge, the initial £7.50 is the standard fee we advise, but the higher exit fee you experienced can sometimes occur due to extended time in the car park or Heathrow’s own tariff structure, which is unfortunately outside our direct control. That said, we understand this is frustrating and we’ll continue to review how we communicate these potential additional costs to make things clearer.
