We have had great service and communication from start to finish.
The kennels have been put up today and are so much better than we thought they’d be, everything is so incredibly sturdy.
The guys who did the build were excellent too , very courteous and efficient, massive thanks to Liam, Craig and Andy who left the area so clean and tidy .
Also many thanks to Cat who answered all my many questions.

Very happy with my purchase from Benchmark kennels, Brogan and Shaun did a fantastic job of putting the shed together, very efficient and professional. We also asked for a custom made shed instead of kennels and Benchmark kennels were happy to accommodate our idea! Happy with quality and very happy with price. Would highly recommend.

Benchmark Kennels Ltd is the perfect place for your pet. The staff is attentive and the facilities are top-quality. My pet had a great time, and I felt at ease knowing they were in good hands.

As I am unable of edit or comment on the response to my earlier post from Benchmark Kennels on 03/09/24 I shall comment in a separate review.

To Benchmark Kennels -

I would like to correct the inaccuracies in your comment.

- You are a UK wide company for delivery and installation. Delivery and installation is free within 100 mile radius and is then charged at £1.30 per mile so I was subject to a significant additional charge for this cattery.
I’m sure you are familiar with the Consumer Advice Act 2015 and will therefor be aware that I was entitled to a full refund given that the dispute resulted in my favour.

-There were no modifications made. Both team members constructing the cattery stated that they did not normally build catteries and that this was their first. They were unaware that shelves were to be fitted on either side of the pop hole which was built into the door leading from the sleeping bay to the run. When I told them about this they cut the wood too narrow for a cat to jump onto and another piece had to be added. The additional piece was cut several inches shorter to allow for door opening. The joiner that provided an independent report stated that this should have been angled which would then allow the door to open.

-At no point did I try to cancel the cattery however I did try to postpone the date of delivery but was informed that this would incur a significant charge due to a team having been already allocated to the job.

-The paperwork I signed was after a quick inspection on the spot when the team were leaving, it was only after a more in depth examination that I noticed all the defect. Whilst you did offer to return your email stated “some of the defects you mention align with the expected construction and design of the cattery”
These defects were splits in the wood where screws were inserted too far as well as ragged edges of ALL the panels. You also stated that “your team would assess the issues and carry out any necessary modifications”, there was no mention or acknowledgement of the defects I had provided evidence of.

You are correct in stating that I have only ever given 1 star reviews on trustpilot, what you failed to mention was that there are only 3 reviews, one of which is Benchmark Kennels. The other 2 reviews clearly state that there was no issue with the product itself but the rating was for issues with the delivery / customer service. I usually put my review on company websites.

Unfortunately there is no facility to post photo & video evidence on Trustpilot but I am more than happy for you to display the photos & video against my review on your website or Facebook page if you feel they are unjust.

Had I been aware the company went into liquidation in January 24 I would never have made the purchase.

I am unsure what specifically I am being reported on but I am happy to provide Trust Pilot with correspondence from all parties involved as well as photos & video.

Awful company to deal with. I ordered a custom build cattery which cost over £2000, it was delivered and built on 10/06/24. The workmanship was appalling and the quality of wood poor. I sent the company 25 photos, all of different and significant defects. There were numerous splits in the wood where the screws had been inserted too far. Every piece of wood including the shelves and ladders were completely ragged making it unsafe and dangerous for the cats. The door of the sleeping area was fitted the wrong way resulting in it only opening so far as it hit off the roof panel. The whole side panel was fitted without any post to secure it leaving it fully mobile. BM initially offered to send the team back up to assess it and fix anything "they felt" to be defective. They didn't acknowledge or comment on any of the photos with the defects which were sent to them in evidence.
I consequently contacted consumer advice supplying them with all the evidence and was advised by them to reject the cattery as it was unfit for purpose. BM challenged this resulting in a dispute lasting over 2 months. I had to get an independent report from a qualified joiner - he stated that the workanship was absolutely shocking and was one of the worst shed type builds he had seen.
The dispute finally resulted in me getting a full refund and the cattery was uplifted 2 weeks ago.
If you are purchasing from this company I would suggest looking at all the reviews as well as looking at the company history and records.

Great customer service from start to finish. Very helpful, clear and couldn’t do more for you! The kennels are also perfect, amazing quality and look fantastic. Couldn’t be happier!! They were put up so well and efficiently. I’d recommend these guys a million times over.

From start to finish, the whole Benchmark Kennels experience has been straightforward and very positive.
Communication via WhatsApp enabled us to get the kennel best suited for the location. Customer service was excellent.
The two young builders were polite, efficient and made sure nothing was left lying around for dogs to tread on.
The three dogs quickly took to their kennel and made themselves at home.
The price was better than I had originally expected and overall it has been a positive and enjoyable experience.

After purchasing a four bay kennel block for £3000 it was delivered and installed quickly. Very quickly! Upon the workmen finishing your asked to assess the condition of the installation etc. After a Quick Look around all seemed ok. Upon arrival I could tell build quality is relatively poor and not what I’d expect for that sort of money but I have no time to build one. A mistake I now regret. Upon closer inspection I noticed a piece of roof timber had snapped 3/4 of the way through. Clearly failing on a knot in the timber, when stood on. Upon raising my concerns with the company and providing photo evidence they patronised me with some dribble regarding knots being a common characteristic of wood. I’m a tradesman. So a little annoyed really. After no luck I’ll repair myself after being a week old. Claddings splitting everywhere, rushed inaccurate measurements of timber and there’s poorly finished cuts everywhere aswell.

The kennel fitters (Si,Joe & Liam) arrived early in the day & worked continuously throughout the day to complete the installation of 6 kennels.

Brilliant experience from start to finish. Very helpful in asking all my little questions. All answered promptly. A lovely company to deal with. Kennels are really well made and instillation team were brilliant.
Highly recommend. Just need to get some more dogs so I can have some more kennels😉

Whole experience was amazing! Megan was so lovely through the whole buying process and answered any and all questions I had! Not only was the buying experience great and delivery fast, but knowing that they provide kennels for charities and shelters makes you feel good buying from them. Honestly can't recommend enough!
