Bought a Lay Z Spa Hawaii hot tub in June 2025. Used for couple of months then stowed away until May 2026.
On setting up the hot tub after the first day there was a loud pop come from the tub and the power went off to my downstairs sockets. On checking the socket where the hot tub plug was inserted, the pins on the plug were red hot to the touch. The wall socket was smoking and the plug socket was scorched and cracked.
My electrician checked my house electrics which were all in order. He told me never to use the hot tub again. I
informed Bestway of this immediately. I Started a warranty claim. The hot tub was still less than 1 year old and within warranty.
They weren't in the least bit bothered.
After 8 weeks of forwarding them every bit of information they requested.......Every time they negated everything i had done, taking no responsibility whatsoever for the situation. I told them that they could come to my house to do checks if they wanted. They declined. They closed the case.
I am absolutely appalled by this company. The after sales treatment is non existent. They "apologised" 12 times for "any inconvenience" this may have had on me.
The inconvenience of having a dangerous electrical item that could have set fire to my house is very inconvenient. Let alone the fact that i am left with a hot tub that is unusable.
They offered no support, no replacement or any sort. I am left with a hot tub that is only good for land fill.
I read that there is a petition for Bestway to recall their electrical pool heaters due to Fire Risks......I would never use this company again. They get your money and in my opinion they couldn't care less about the customer.
I would give them ZERO stars if i could...

I received a reply from Bestway the day after posting this.
Yet another apology. (13th in total)
They told me they would be in touch shortly to resolve this situation….
As expected I have not heard anything since then. This behaviour and lack of caring for customers just reaffirms my thoughts and feelings towards this company. Simply awful..

You take a lifetime to answer phone calls when I asked for info on how to change filter no proper answer and when I asked for a new rubber sealing gasket was advised to go to Amazon ????

Easy to order and prompt delivery. Not sure that some components of the pool are as good a quality as I would have hoped for the price and the instructions are pretty poor but overall very happy with it and the kids love it.

Ordered a pool pump on the 26th June with a 2 day delivery. No delivery after two weeks, customer service took an hour to speak to - unable to locate or delivery so authorised a refund. Two weeks after that (so now a month form order) I have still not received a refund despite speaking to 4 different advisors on the phone who all said they would sort a refund as a matter of urgency. Will never use this company again - worse than awful. Will now have to raise this with the credit card company to force a refund.

Good products but paid for fast delivery and still took 4 working days.

I try to contact you about the defective pump but you don't answer me back. Thanks for nothing.

Company was fine ,using a substandard delivery company will hurt your reputation.

So far the experience has been very good dealing with bestway. There was some confusion by the courier, but this was sorted out immediately by bestway. The package did sustain some damage but again it had been packed so well by bestway that so far we have found no damage to any parts. Due to a hosepipe ban we are unable to proceed with the installation of the pool.

Returned product as husband had already brought and still no refund and no reply to my emails regarding my refund

Paid £24.99 for next day delivery so it should have been delivered on the Friday, it was not out for delivery on the Friday. After speaking with them they couldn’t understand why it hadn’t been despatched, to be told I should expect a delivery on the Monday, Well that didn’t happen either, so I requested a refund. 2 weeks on, I’m still awaiting the refund to be processed!!! Numerous phone calls where they have lied, iv just had an advisor saying he only just put the refund to the refund department today after telling me for over a week he had already done so! Absolutely disgraceful customer service. I do not recommend at all!!!

Your Customer Service is terrible, your delivery is terrible, the pool is good. You need to look at upping your CS a 7 day response is not good enough when you are over a week late with delivery.

Not had the item. Very disappointed. Ordered 25th June and now 16th July.
