Lowered credit amount

I have had and used CFNA/Firestone for many many years. I have ALWAYS paid the balance in full and on time and most times right away. I just used the card 3 weeks ago for 4 new tires, couldn't pay it off until the statement came out. Paid it off. Just received a letter they are lowering my credit limit. WHAT???? Done with CFNA & FIRESTONE. SHAMEFUL!!

CFNA REFUSED TO LIFT BANK RESTRICTION ON MY ACCOUNT

I had problems with my bank account for a short period and a few payments were returned on my CFNA Gills Point S account. When I found out the payments were returned I went online and paid the amounts immediately. The bank problems have been solved and yesterday I went online to pay my current bill. CFNA had placed a restriction on my account that keeps me from paying my bill with my checking account. I called and explained the situation and asked that the restriction be removed so that I could pay my account. The customer service person I spoke with refused to do it and said I could use another account. I told her that was the only account. I also pointed out that the system will not allow me to update the account. She said, that was my only option. I told her I wanted to speak to a supervisor. When I got him on the phone he parroted the same line of BS as the CSR I spoke with. I told him that I knew that he could have the restriction lifted. He claimed he could not which is a lie. He also said I could use an alternative bank account completely ignoring that I had just told him there is no other bank account. I find it mighty strange that a company refuses to take payment from the account holder on an account that is owed. CFNA needs to have better customer service and needs to work with their customers instead of against them. When if and ever I find some way to make payments to CFNA I will pay this account off and be done with them. I will also NEVER use Gills Point S credit for any service again. If a low quality company like CFNA is the type of company they use for their credit service it makes me wary of what type of quality I would receive from Gills Point S.

be cautious

Initially, everything was satisfactory, but now it has become less so. After I added a second payment account (since changing or removing payment accounts is not an option), they continued to withdraw payments from the incorrect account number. Before I realized it, I received a letter regarding a returned payment, even though both payment accounts had sufficient funds to cover my payment (I always ensure this due to past experiences). Consequently, I was charged a late fee once more and they will NOT refund the late charge that was not my fault!

They do NOT allow autopayments and disrespect elderly

They do NOT allow autopayments. Unheard of? Yes it seems like they are the only ones. I was helping my elderly mom pay off and close her account and the man was VERY pushy towards her to try and get her not to close the account. She is struggling with her thought processes and it was obvious and yet he showed no respect, patience or kindness. I have a full POA but I like to let her be a part of everything as much as she can and he told me to stop talking. lol I am the decision maker. Please talk to your senior parent and advise against doing business with this company. This man actually said he was getting confused lol Maybe he should not be in customer service. We make calls together all the time about many financial needs with many companies and EVERYONE can always tell she needs extra patience and kindness, but not this one.

Can't get a refund of credit balance on paid-off credit card

I've had a CFNA account since 2018, when I bought a set of new tires at Firestone with a six-month no-interest payoff. I paid off the tires, but have since carried a balance for other car repairs.
I finally paid the card off in full last month. Unfortunately, I forgot to disable the monthly minimum payment autopay on the card, and a $107 payment was taken from my account although no minimum payment was due. It's been over 30 days, and I still can't get my money back.

No one ever came to the phone

No one ever came to the phone, there is no chat. I realize I have a balance I am trying to pay off, but after reasonable interest on the balance prior to this month they charged me 521.00 and change on a revolving credit balance of about 3200.00. what is going on here. I will keep going to our Local Just Tires Shop. They are fantastic. I will not use this card it will be paid off and closed.

1-star was the lowest I could select

I’ve had my card with CFNA for almost two years. Always made on-time payments, paying more than the minimum. I have an excellent credit score and people get busy. I was late on one payment and asked to have the late fee removed as I was making a payment. They said they couldn’t do it, but as a courtesy, they could remove $15. I have never heard of that in my life. Shows how cheap they are. Even worse, I’m pretty sure their customer service is overseas. You can hardly understand them.

This is the WORST credit company ever

This is the WORST credit company ever! There is no ability to set up an auto draft for payment of the account automatically. If you use the card, you better be good at manual book keeping. I missed my due date by 2 days because I thought I had this set up for auto draft, which apparently isn't ALLOWED through this bank - what century are they in? When I asked for the late fee to be waived, they denied my request and said that their policy states only 1/2 of the Late fee can be waived. The customer service operation is an off-shore provider with no access to upper level mgt to make additional concessions. Just DON'T USE THIS CARD. I've cancelled and will receive my confirmation in the paper mail in 7-10 days.

This company needs to be investigated…

This company needs to be investigated for bait and switch tactics. In order to get VA Tire offers, you must use this card. You cannot make payments until post date and then it does not show until you get it posted with a late fee. I have tried repeatedly to pay my balance, but cannot. Whoever heard of a credit card not allowing you to make payment. HATE CFNA!!

Avoid CFNA and Firestone Credit Card – Worst Experience Ever

CFNA is by far the worst credit card I’ve ever had. I only got it because of the persistent sales pitch from Firestone staff who kept insisting we apply — a huge mistake.

We always pay our credit cards on time and in full, so it was shocking to receive a $29 “late payment” fee. We never got any alerts or notice about the due date — no reminders, nothing. When I called to dispute the charge, they refused to waive it at first. Only after I told them to close the account did they agree to waive half the fee.

Their customer service is extremely impersonal and difficult to reach — a maze of phone numbers clearly designed to waste your time and discourage you from getting real help.

Completely disappointing and unprofessional. We never really wanted this card, and now I wish we had never accepted it. Stay far away from CFNA and the Firestone credit card.

Firestone Tire Cente Wayne, NJ

Firestone Tire Center signed me up automatically for this card. I never saw the small print for $2.99 fee for paper statement. Was on vacation and missed first payment by 7 days. 29.99 late fee. I paid the bill immediately when i realized it was overdue. Had to install mobile app to pay bill on weekend after 5pm on Saturday. When asked if they could waive the late fee they said no it is there company policy. I have never been denied a waiver of a late fee on a first time use of a card. Guess the customer service person at Firestone got their commission and CFNA made out. Never again..stick no my regular card.

One day late for my first payment

One day late for my first payment, $39 late fee. I received no notice of when my payment was due. Their customer service guy was cold and informed me that it's not their policy to waive any interest or late payment fees. At least I think that's what he said. I think he was working from overseas.

I have a credit card with this company…

I have a credit card with this company through Firestone auto repair and the card is a ripoff! I said that because they double charge you interest without your consent! They offer a plan where if you spend $149 or more you can pay over 6 months but they don’t even ask you if you want to do it! They just take it upon themselves to do it for you! I you haven’t paid that particular purchase in the 6 months period they charge you more interest on top of the interest they charge you for the same money they give you from the card! That is truly not fair, they are double charging you and more for the same money they already loaned you from the card! Something is wrong with that practice it’s more like a scam than a card! I didn’t ask for 6 months deferred payments so I should not have to pay twice for the same money! Please don’t trust this company!!

Do not do business with these unethical crooks. They randomly out the blue tack on almost 200 in interest and do that as they wish and expect you to pay it! Dealing with the wrong one here. Then at the same time drop my credit limit 200 tanking my score. I’m pursuing legal recourse they are con artist all beware

LITERALLY THE WORST CARD AND CUSTOMER…

LITERALLY THE WORST CARD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYWHERE!!! It started out with even though I had set up automatic payments My first two payments did not go through even though they had the correct acct number and routing number. Then it miraculously started working with no changes. After several months and numerous phone calls those late fees were finally reversed. And I was told not to worry that until an account was 2 to 3 months behind in payments they did not report it as being late. Used it a couple of times paying most of it off every month. Just kept a small balance on each month going foreword. Then I find out someone is using my account to pay their bills. I went into my bank and they immediately closed my checking account and gave me a new checking account account number. They then gave me a list of all of my accounts that took automatic payments from that old account and told me to contact all of them and explain to them what happened and to get my automatic payment account number updated. Which I did. Thought every thing was good until I saw CFNA's payment did not come out of my new account. Called immediately and made a payment then spoke to someone whom 'I could not understand at all but was able to at least get everything was good on my account and that the payment had gone through with no late payment showing or fee. A month later I get my statement and it shows the payment as being late and I was charged a fee. I called once again and tried explaining what had happened. I was told it could take 2 to 3 billing cycles for it to catch up. But not to worry, everything was up to date on my account. Next statement, same issue. I call again and get the same answers. Next month same thing. Only now My credit report shows I had a late payment on my CFNA card and my once excellent credit score of 790+ has now dropped to 630. My available credit limit was also cut in half and my interest rate was now the maximum they could charge. I call again only this time I am told there is nothing that they can do as it has been over 2 months. Getting a supervisor does me no good. They give me the same answer. Sorry it has been over two months. Doesn't matter that I've been calling every month there is nothing they can do about it. This is completely shady on their part. But as they say sorry nothing they can do. Well I sincerely hope this happens to everyone of them. Because who knows how long it's going to take me to get back to where I was.

Garbage card

They are predatory lenders! I say that because they give you the credit card but charge you double in interest for the same card and purchases! They say you can have six months to pay but they don’t give you a choice if you want to do that or not! If you haven’t paid the payment by the time the six months is up, they charge you even more interest on that amount than on your regular interest on the balance of the card!!! Sounds like a lot, which it is, because they are doing too much with that! You are already paying the interest on the balance then they make you pay extra interest on some promotional charge you didn’t even ask for! They are the first I hate I even got the card now!!!! So if offered to anyone that reads this don’t do it!!!!!

DO NOT DO IT-PAY IT OFF AND CLOSE IT

This card is NOT worth it and DEFINITELY not worth the outrageous interest rate they have the audacity to charge. We got this card in Dec and the rewards STILL HAVE NOT BEEN APPLIED to my account. SINCE DECEMBER 2024. I have called about it, and I was told specifically to wait until my next statement, and it would be reflected on there. We waited as instructed and not only was that a lie, and the rewards were not applied, they also applied a late fee of $30 because we didn't pay on the 3rd until we received our statement as instructed. I received the statement on the 8th and the fee was on there. So, you can attach fees-we NEVER PAY LATE-but you can't, in SIX BILLING CYCLES, attach what you OWE US. I called again and they told the same lie, "It takes up to two billing cycles" and by this time we will be nearing the point of expiration of them. Next, we don't pay interest because we pay the charges off within six months. However, the interest rate is 34%. I would encourage anyone to use the credit card they have through their bank-or anywhere but here-and get your cash rewards that are automatic, and YOU can go in to apply them towards your balance or cash out with no waiting. There is no excuse for it and when speaking to them I was transferred a couple of times before getting to the right department. The contact number for them on the statements and the app are also incorrect. It rings once and hangs up. If you have this card, it is doing more harm than anything and not worth it. They absolutely have NOTHING that benefits you and you will likely never see the rewards they claim you've earned. They currently owe us over $200 and have done nothing about it at the time of this review.
